If you have to make hundreds of them throughout your career, I guess buy one "expensive domino jointer" saves a lot more time than doing it like this.

Yes, for a production shop a single use tool like a domino would be appropriate.
But . . . I thought his router-jig did an absolutely great job for a hobbyist like me.
I'm going to make one of these jigs for myself. I love it.
