@@ADHDecent I think nowadays you can really tell whether a video was created to polarize or to become famous... BUT what you ALWAYS notice and that among thousands and thousands of videos is quality.
I started modding again through you and it's incredible what a 13 year old game triggers in me, even though I've only been at it for a good 6-7 years.
So many people creating things for a game. The musicians of these gigantic tracks and remixes alone. And then a wonderful creator like you comes along and creates a cinematic coreography with it.

I've always wanted to mod Skyrim but was never smart nor tech savvy enough to do so. Any attempts ended in failure and confusion. I watched a number of tutorials but none ever ended with me having modded Skyrim. That was, of course, until this series. I decided to give one more tutorial a try (aka yours), and lo and behold, I found myself gaining knowledge through an easy to understand manner. I just finished the main part of the series, and wanted to say a huuuggee thank you! Your tutorials are the only ones to ever work for me. If I ever get to know someone who wants to get into modded Skyrim, I will for sure point them straight to this series. Thank you again for creating such an easy to follow series!

Hi man, I am forever grateful to you that you made this modding series that is the best on youtube IMO. I started modding skyrim around 2019-2020 and quit after countless trial and errors and still enjoying the game but it ended with my save file being corrupted. Here I am again years later trying this again hoping that things go smoother this time. I'm still not sure how to determine mod load order but I hope your dividers will see me through as I intended to go further than my mod build years ago.

This is some good shit here today. You should go into how the executable creation enables you to set an output folder for when you run tools, etc. Such as Nemesis Outputs can be automatically output into the correct folder instead of your Overwrite if you set that folder in the Executable settings.
    Well done on this video!

This series has been a real game changer for me. Modding has been a series of try/get confused/fail attempts the last couple of years. This series is really helping me not only de-mystify Skyrim modding, but also showing me how to do it more efficiently and effectively. Subscribed and saved the playlist to keep up with any upcoming videos that are (hopefully) added. Really hoping for tutorials that help with making optimized and nice looking LODs for my LO, which I've always really struggled with. Using SSELODGen, TexGen, DynDOLOD, etc to make the worldspace look more consistent and remove pop-in for mod added objects, buildings, etc. Especially with your teaching skills here, it would be way better than scouring forums or asking questions that I don't even know how to ask because I find making LODs confusing. That could also be a good opportunity to show us how to set custom outputs for executables, so LOD programs and Nemesis will automatically output to their own "mod" folders instead of the general overwrite folder. Would also really appreciate a tutorial on how to use Synthesis as well, as that would really make a huge difference in what I could do with my LO if I knew how to use it. For mods like Open World Loot, Apothecary, Gourmet, Merchant, Sorcerer, AI Overhaul, etc. that all make leveled list edits/container edits/NPC record edits, I could just make one all-encompassing patch for each mod like that specific to my load order for consistency instead of having to scour the Nexus to find and install tons of individual patches and STILL miss things. Synthesis could be really awesome if only I knew more about, how to install it, and how to use it. Maybe down the line a tutorial or two for more advanced modding techniques like how to find and fix conflicts manually with XEdit, or maybe how to merge and make your own AIOs for mods, how to make your own patches, etc. That way it takes away the need to only rely on what's available on the Nexus and instead one can make smaller compatibility fixes on their own in some cases.

Thank you Jay for always bringing a smile to my face. I’m honoured. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster recently, I believe I’ve screwed myself over in a number of ways by creating expectations of myself that I’m barely managing and being my own harshest critic. I had a bit of a moment where I realised I was losing track of the direction the guide was headed and it was getting a little “disorganised” for want of a better word. So, I wanted to straighten out a couple of points in this one and in the next to set the course straight again before then going into what I’m truly looking forward to covering.
I began pushing to ensure the next video was exciting and had a wow factor which resulted in small important details being skipped for being too dull. Annoyingly, that made me realise this guide would become the same as any other on RUclips by doing that as no one wants to cover the boring bits and they’re usually the parts people struggle with and can’t find the support covering them.
So I decided to revisit the mission objective and focus on what the end game was which was to show anyone the ropes to starting their journey and what it entails using a single example.
It’s safe to say I’m still a little rattled at the moment which is likely making for a couple of episodes that appear somewhat out of character to usual (coupled with the new editing software) but it’ll be a story to reflect on one day when it won’t matter because things are better. I look forward to that day. I hope we’re able to reflect on this conversation too.
Sorry I’ve gotten carried away there 😂. But once again, I’m honoured and I thank you again for your motivation. It means more than I’ll ever explain

    • @jayday3818
      @jayday3818 10 месяцев назад +2

OK, so first off, your videos aren't "the same as any other on RUclips" because they're made by **you**. Your value is intrinsic, not transactional. We like watching the videos you make _because_ you're the one that makes them.
Second, I'm glad you found a path forward. I'm on the Autism spectrum myself, so I understand when hyperfocus sets in and you have so many thoughts it's like you can't breathe. I find that focusing on what I need to do NEXT helps me organize myself. It's gotten me out of many tailspins, so I hope you have a method like that too. Sounds like you might.
Either way, keep trucking! We'll be here waiting for the next one, no hurry at all.

Thanks for the great mod series! I haven't modded since NMM days. I have a question about how you're using MO2, how do the separators impact the load order? Like some categories are above other ones, is that whole block of mods loaded over the others? I offically give up. I'm downloading mods, loading them and thats it. No more trying to master ocding and mdding . I cant fit a 10 year education in an afternoon. just so I can play a game. This is insanity. When the game inevitably crashesd cos the mods arent crights i dont care anywqnmorwe. bye

I'm fed up. It shouldn't take 2 days to mod a game. I wanted to play Skyrim a few hours after installing it, not a few days after. I lost track of where I was up to anyway. This is too much. Mods are just drag and drop. Simple. Not 10 programs and 30 tutorials and then purposely telling us to waste our time downloading and modding files only to delete them afterwards. This is a joke and so are you.

This guide made me vomit. I was up all day and night trying to mod Skyrim. Almost every thing went wrong, then had to be redone or refocused on intesively. I didn't realise how much of a negative effect it was having on my mind. That night when I went to go to sleep I had a panic attack about it. It's like spending an enitre day and night infront of my computer, listening to your accent and constantly hitting brick walls just ruined what little patience I had left for modding. This is it now, it's over for life. I HATE Skyrim and I will NEVER attempt to play it again in my life.
