The record-breaking 15th season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is its most ambitious yet. In the seismic wake of Covid-19 and all things 2020, The Gang stands at a crossroads in this strange new world. The rules are changing quicker than anyone can keep up with, despite herculean efforts from Mac (Rob McElhenney), Charlie (Charlie Day), Dennis (Glenn Howerton), Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Frank (Danny DeVito) to continue business as usual. Now, they must face the music and decide who they’ll become in the cultural upheaval that is 2021. Across the span of eight episodes - and the Atlantic Ocean - we find them answer in a way only they could think to.

The ending to Mac Bangs Dennis' Mom makes it the most complete and perfect episode imo. After all the scheming, all the backstabbing, it looked as if Charlie's plan would work out. Then at the last second a wildcard he hadn't accounted for blows up in his face and he sees the love of his life brought to tears. They all should've won Emmy's for that one.
That whole episode is hilarious
Great show but imo that episode was never topped.
I showed it to my mother, she was in stitches xd
These two actors have such great chemistry. They should date.
I'm assuming this means they are dating
@@reemr9954 that’s the joke. They are married irl
@@wicklutz7268 Marriage is like the ultimate date.
Ikr they would make such a cute couple.
When I found they where married IFL I was so happy 😁
mary elizabeth ellies as the waitress is underrated, she’s so funny
*Annoying
You can see how much real Charlie loves real Mary Elizabeth in his acting.
@@asimhussain8716 I mean maybe not, but the only reason I looked it up is because it seemed pretty obvious that they had chemistry didn't even know they were married.
Her name is Waitress not Mary Elisabeth smh.
I read this comment at 4:00. He loves her so much!
The funniest part about number 5 is Frank's line before it.
"Charlie, somebody accidentally hit The Waitress with my car."
Their car!
@@wingnightbackwardsWHEN THEY FOLLOWING HER!
I can't be the only one feeling sorry for Charlie when he starts crying after the waitress slept with Frank.
Her voice quivering made me tear up too tbh
That first scene is actually heart wrenching.
Yeah, I don't feel sorry for him.
immolation
I ALSO feel sorry for the waitress for being gaslight by Dennis
Okay but why is Charlie’s proposal song actually a banger?
Because he’s talented
Every Charlie song is a banger
Because Charlie Day is actually an insanely talented song writer who can improvise better songs than most of the top 40 of today.
Day man!!

“I’m leaving. I’m going to be with waitress. She’s the woman I love.”
you have to be insanely in love to leave alexandra daddario like that😂
She isn’t waitress. There’s only one waitress, and she isn’t it.
So romantic he drops everything & goes right back
They never call her by her name, ever
@@angerbob9665 dude for real.. I know it’s a show but I was shocked
Just learned the other day that they’re actually married in reality, so that just makes all these instances so much more funny
Oh good, cause I was very sad how much Charlie wants her but it’s not meant to be
wanking tyler...
All 3 of them from the show are married to someone else from the show
Yup,plus Mac is actually married to sweet dee and Dennis is married to the pharmacist in the “Dennis system” episode .
1:56 Mac's face lmao
This is equally pathetic as it is wholesome and beautiful. Love Charlie, love this show, sometimes the only thing keeping me fully comforted.
I love how when Charlie defends the waitresses honour he doesn’t even punch the guy when it comes to finding out what happened that night. In fact that’s not even the waitress, it’s just some blonde women with a mask on.
Man that episode in Jersey is just funny and heartbreaking at the same time haha
"Yeah, shut up, man!" Is Charlie actually hearing the doll? lol
The joke throughout that episode is that Dennis controlled their life so completely that they keep being tormented by his mere ''avatar''.
Poor Waitress. The way her life is spiraling it’s probably only a matter of time before she bangs Cricket.
Can't believe she didn't bang him before she banged Charlie
I wonder how fun it is for them to pretend they aren't married
I could imagine its I ton of fun to just scream obscenities at each other, same with Rob Mclehenney and Kaitlin
@@yderga8707 Wonder if they argue at home or if they already let all the steam out?
@@yeahbee8237 wonder if it's actually butter.
So everyone in the gang has nailed the waitress except Sweet Dee. When's this going to happen people!!!!!
this should happen ASAP pls
mac did only hand stuff
when do I get to nail Dee?
@@anikpramanik7354 eeewwe gross
They could do it retroactively say it happened during the plane drinking episode.
"Please, please don't make me regret giving this to you, Charlie." I love the episodes shes in. Her fed upness is comedic gold.
The waitress is so well played. The character is brilliant
I personally really like the scene when she breaks and ask why me & is self deprecating & he affirms her immediately
"because there is no-one better"
Beautiful moment and great acting
Did the waitress ever open that nail salon? The Gang has to ruin that for her somehow.
I definitely want to see her dreams crushed by the gang. This nail salon is perfect.
That should be the Final Episode.
Her lifes spiraled down till she's currently homeless
2:50 Charlie leaving a RICH Alexandra Daddario for the waitress is crazy 💀
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
Season 15 is a banger, the Ireland episodes are amazing. They did start falling off a bit on season 13 and 14 but glad they were able to bring it back strong this season
I thought season 14 was a comeback season
It hasn't been funny in year's
This show is great
The Ireland episodes made me bawl like a baby
Charlie and the waitress is my favorite storyline. The cartoon of them on the Christmas special where they marry, have kids, they get old and the waitress dies made me cry. And I’m a 62 year old retired Army combat veteran so I don’t shed a tear easily.
You should watch 'up'
@@shawntheship6689 well yeah, I did cry watching Up. I’m tough, but I’m human 😂
I think that was when the gas station they were at was getting robbed and they all played out scenarios in their head
@@natebrennan3716 you are 100% correct 👍🏻 thanks for setting me straight! My memory for details is not what it used to be (TBI).
@@natebrennan3716 It was a convenience store not a gas station.
Dig the royalty free music that lets me know that I'm not actually watching the show.
I loved the live stage show where charlie sang to the waitress in the box seats, everyone in the audience was telling her to say yes. ASIP has a great fandom
The greatest love story ever written.
A love story for the ages.
Lmfao I will forever remember that rant at 0:18
The best moment was at the beach when she was on ecstasy
That Dennis doll LMFAO
1:56
I know that this was inaccurate to what actually happened but I still love how Mac smiles at his buddy for kissing the girl he likes.
I think one of my faves is when they go bowling and to mess with Charlie she asks where he's putting his elbow. Idk why the scene was JUST right. I guess at least in part it's their natural marital chemistry!
Crazy to think that they’re married and his real name is the same as his characters. Imagine telling your husband, with his real name, “stop stalking me!” etc.
I think the Waitress followed Dennis to The Jersey Shore
And ireland
I love how she still doesn't have a name
Both actors (Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis) who play Charlie and The Waitress in the show are married in real life which makes their character's interaction funnier especially in early season before they slept with each other in Season 14.
Both?
Thank you for explaining this to every Sunny fan.
She’s right, Dennis’s voice his funny.
They were talking about Charlie's voice.
The one time she actually has a conversation with her it makes his ears ring and i think thats beautiful
1:55
That smile Mac gives Charlie is so wholesome. Even though he slept with the waitress already…. 😂
What’s wierd is that right after the breakup he never really brought her up again.
3:50 all guys understand this feeling
Why is Charlie such a comfort character???
He says he loves her but still has never bothered to learn her name. Classic Charlie! 😂
Please do a it's always sunny crossed with caddyshack!! Charlie takes the part of Bill Murray after a giant rat (goffer) and Danny Devito as Rodney Dangerfield trying to develop the golf course. Caddyshacks been on tv alot lately and I cant shake the similarities.
I'm curious as to which fans (and when these fans) were asked to submit their favorite episodes.. I'm a die hard Sunny fan I never heard of this "fan favorites" idea (not saying every fan would just curious). By far we know number one would be the Jersey Show Episode that was a beautiful moment of them (and 2 would be the robbery/cartoon epsiode). Anyway thanks FX for letting me know so I could submit a vote lmao...
She's actually one of my favourite characters. Not a fan of how they've been writing as of the last couple seasons. Don't know what it is but yeah
This season was actually really good, I think season 14s comedy was way too on the nose for me.
@@yderga8707 yeah she was pretty good this season the whole ‘SIKE’ part lmaoo
Yep. Last two seasons have been mostly trash, sadly. They totally ruined Dee’s character. Her constantly shrieking “god dammit” all the time isn’t funny.
@@bones343 Yeah Dee used to be a really beloved character of mine, now they really flanderized her.
@@bones343 Dee's character hasn't changed.
day man.
Charlie is a good singer.
That night at the Jersey shore was magical!
How come 'The Waitress' didn't her side episode like 'Cricket' did working for his father? Love Charlie and Waitress and also Charlie and Dee relationship
Poor Charlie :(
Yea that episode when Charlie chose the waitress instead of the hot chick that was the one moment I hated Charlie
First scene, Frank is giving major Patton Oswalt vibes there
#7 for sure. Best example of when you stop simping and talk to them you find out looks aren't everything. Must be therapeutic to be married in real life but get to act like you really hate them on screen. IMO of course.
Charlie love to following the Waitress
She is a 👑
That must be the most toxic and strange relationship I've seen in any tv series
It’s these episodes where Charlie schemes for the Waitress that makes me think he’s not a complete idiot. He’s just a socially awkward, uncultivated, illiterate human being.
I've never seen this before.... Is it worth watching?
Yes
YES
Her name is Charlotte
This is why i like girls with short hair, but also this is why i fear them
Gotta be the time he said the hard r in front of her
Charlie in the first scene 😥
The musical number always makes me sad but it’s so pathetic
3:02 Hey Alexandra Daddario, you looking for a rebound? Asking for a friend
Cringe
#3 wasn’t even the waitress. Charlie was drunk and crazy so he imagined he was fighting with the waitress’ new boyfriend in front of her and #6 was completely in Charlie’s Mind
The first episode I ever watched was "The Gang goes to the Jersey Shore". And after that, I had to figure out what the hell was going on between Charlie and the waitress so I watched the whole series.
Too bad the new seasons are unwatchable.
That’s his wife in real life
this editing where it covers up half the screen with a black rectangle is terrible
Do they ever reveal the waitress”s first name?
Did Charlie voice the ice king? Sounds just like him singing
I like her!
he really didn’t follow her down the shore at all tho 🧐
I think Katelyn Olson is hands down one of the funniest actresses of all time. Also super hot in my opinion. They are all great, one of my all time favorite shows. Do you think a pirate lives there? I mean cmon.
Finger fantasy
It’s sad that when they do get together they’re not compatible at all but also predictable
Hats, Bras and Waitress Stuff.
Badnew!
I can't figure out if she's stuck up,
or Charlie's a loser.
Magna shirt
I can't watch Charlie and Dee Find Love because they really had a shot with the rich siblings and it actually hurts to see them squander it.
Nah, we don't care about Waitress. Dee and Charlie is more compatible.
#1 makes me feel bad for Charlie. But I also know what happens after #5 and that he's just as bad as everyone else on the show.
Fun fact: they're married irl
The fact that their married in real life kinda kills the illusion for me of Charlie being a stupid stalker. Same when the D.E.N.N.I.S System episode when Glenn Howerton brought in his real wife.
I feel like it just makes the whole bit infinitely funnier.
it's called acting, ever heard of it?
Charlie is clearly BPD
lol
That’s because Charlie and Mary Elizabeth Day are actors from “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.”
What?
@@maus0liam Yes, that’s right. Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis are husband and wife. They’re also actors.

Remember the waitress name is Nicki Potnick. Frank had her name tag during the gangs high school reunion. Your welcome.
Its not. Confirmed by the guys in their podcast.
@@atanasfilev970 what was it then?
To bad this season was a short ripoff. We waited years for just a couple of episodes.
Yeah, exactly this! Nothing like spoiled child unhappy about TV shows he does not pay for. It isn't like the world was under lockdown. 🙄
The first half was pretty weak, but the Ireland stuff made up for it in my mind.
All the seasons are short, feels like they are running out of gas though
It's over. They lost 'it' and after all these seasons that's okay.
