- In a 1999 interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Donald Trump said he was concerned about North Korea's development of nuclear weapons and that the US shouldn't rule out any options, including a possible military strike, in order to keep Pyongyang in check.
"You're going to be in awfully big trouble five years from now..." 5 years later, North Korea announces it has nukes. October 2006, North Korea detonates nuclear bomb. Someone should have listened to Trump in 1999.
And what´s the problem? No war by North-Korea since 1952, but many, many wars by the USA all around the world. Which country is dangerous? Which country had used the Atom-Bomb? Only the USA! Are there any videos from 18 years ago showing an American pacifist accurately describing North Korea like Trump did? One can say that in 1999 it was easy for Trump to comment freely on the North Korean issue then because he wasn't in a position to bear responsibility and accountability with the weight of America on his back. But you have to give the man credit for having a very accurate outlook on what would happen if the US didn't take North Korea seriously. Reality today shows his comments from 18 years ago were right on.
