This was absolutely my favorite cover. Ashley absolutely killed the screams and her voice was so gentle and loud in all the right parts. The instrumental was also just amazing.
their cover is my favourite ! I think that, when you listen to their cover, you can feel the same emotions, even if it's not the same voice. Gerard used to sing (omg it hurts to write this) in a way that was... so amazing. he didn't really sing, he lived every fucking word, and nyd's cover is the only one that I felt the same with.
To be honest New Years Day, State Champs, Chunk no Captain Chunk, One OK Rock, Escape The Fate, and Asking Alexandria all did the best covers on that album. That's in my opinion because every time I listen to their covers I get that feeling that they are TRULY influenced by MCR, and not doing it for publicity or anything else. I'm sure the other bands are influenced by them, but those bands when you listen to their covers you can just feel their emotions in the songs. The Black Parade is a dark album, and is a very hard album to approach musically. It's all very intricate and layered.
Orpheus Yost I thought Asking Alexandria sucked ass on Famous Last Words and should've been covered by Ice Nine Kills. Plus, is AA even fans of MCR or did they do it just for fun?
Honestly their cover wasn't bad. I actually enjoyed it, and I think I know why. These guys were so passionate about this and they wanted to try to rekindle that dark magic that "Sleep" had, and I think they did it.
