Glad to see someone else with the same opinion. I am a Data Architect and I feel that tech IS getting more and more overwhelming. The amount of technologies and frameworks that popup on my feed everyday is just a lot to absorb.
A trick that helped me throughout the years is to focus on fundamentals, such as problem solving, data structures, logic and mathematics, design patterns... These are the solid basics of every technology. Then you can focus on one field (ex frontend dev), get good at it and gradually learn it's surrounding.
Trying to learn everything at once is a bad idea and will not make you an expert in anything but a novice in everything.
Yeah totally agree, those basics are perfect
This was great. I’m currently in a full stack coding bootcamp while simultaneously completing my bachelors degree in Cybersecurity. There’s so much to learn but I’m just sticking to what my curriculum is teaching me right now. Subscribed, looking forward to your content.
Good luck with the bootcamp! Appreciate the kind words.
Thank you all for watching!
Great video!! I'm learning to become a Full Stack Developer, should I just focus on one then in 2023, either the Front end or Back end role instead of trying to learn Full? This question is in regards to your point @9:53
Just want to know if this statement still holds true today, where you say learn one role.
Find which one you like more and dive into but be aware that in todays market you are expected (for the most part) to be familiar with all aspects of Full-Stack.
