- Top-Notch Universities in Baguio City for Higher Education
Baguio City, a very popular tourist destination, is also home to top universities in the Cordillera region. These universities offer top quality education that is at par with the other top-notch universities around the country. Additionally, owing to the city’s cool climate, students from the entire region and beyond are drawn to make it their home during their academic years.
In no particular order, these universities are:
• Saint Louis University
• University of the Philippines
• Baguio Central University
• University of Baguio
• University of Cordillera
These universities offers certificates, undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degree programs. Each one specializes in certain disciplines that ranges from Arts, Architecture, Engineering, Medicine and Medical studies, Sciences, Law, Criminology, Education, Management, Information Technology, Vocational Courses and a whole lot more. Elementary and secondary education levels are also being offered by some.
It is estimated that thirty percent (30%) of Baguio’s population are students. Unsurprisingly, foreign students from at least 25 countries are represented on that number. This is a testament that the city offers the best education in this part of the country. Truly, Baguio City is more than a tourist destination. It is also the education hub in the north.
