This company is the Mc Donalds of paydirt. It's annoying how they flood the ebay listings with all these various listings under different names. I just did a vid on their "Mammoth" bag. Had pretty much the same results. All the same dirt with different labels tossed on it. Their pages are super clickbait with just the right imagery and wording to throw off people new to the hobby.
That play sand is a total giveaway. It makes it hard for people like me to want to try this and Waste My Money. I'm not expecting profit for return but geez is 20% purchase price asking too much?

I'll be the rare "dissenter" here I guess... As a complete newb I purchased the 5 lb bag from the same company you did which came with a free gold pan, a little plastic pipette, and a small glass vial a couple of years ago. I believe I paid around $30-35 for the kit. It was a birthday present for my son, and it sat unopened in his room for the last couple of years. This weekend we finally cracked it open and spent about 4 hours carefully panning through all of it. Just like your bag, it was obviously play sand. I did most of the panning work and my son loved sucking up the tiny flakes. There was one "nugget" approximately 1mm in diameter, which was a super exciting surprise. It even clinks around in the glass vial when you shake it! I'm certain I missed some gold, but my technique got pretty good by the end and after re-panning nearly all of it I just found 2 more microscopic flakes. Of course there was nowhere near $30 worth of gold, but maybe $10? I have to say for a complete idiot like me it was tremendous fun spending all that quality time with my kid, carefully chasing tiny specks of gold. So, for ENTERTAINMENT purposes, well worth every penny! Plus now we have a gold pan we can take on camping trips :-) To be sure, I wouldn't make the purchase again - instead I'd just dump the gold flakes back into the sand and re-pan it for the experience.
If you decide to try panning again, try Goldbay. Best paydirt for your money in my opinion. And I've pretty much tried them all. You'll typically get close to the amount you spend and there's always big pieces.

Gold occurs naturally everywhere i believe. Most places have such a tiny amount it's a waste of time to look for it. Like would you spend $1000 in gas to run thousands of buckets of dirt in Massachusetts to get $0.10 worth of gold? I actually crushed quartz rock from my landscaping in Missouri where there is next to no gold. After smashing 100 rocks over a couple weeks i found 1 spec of gold. If i were you I'd watch klesh guitars video where he panned 3 bags of sand from home depot and found like 3 flakes.

I used to pan for fun in switzerland near the rhine river banks, after a whole summer i got finally lucky and had a few tiny nuggets. It wasnt about the gold it was about having fun being outside in the nature.

Did you see lynch mining’s new paydirt? It’s called Bentley’s paydirt they also have a bucket both jar and bucket state “no fines only pickers And nuggets” the jar has 2 grams and the bucket has 5 grams only pickers and nuggets!
You could easily redact a good email to eBay and they usually listen. I had a USB storage scammer shut down and I've always had eBay handle things well when it comes to this

Yep gold can be worked pretty thin ,some of that bedrock gold in cracks you can bareley see from the side but it can still be a good flake ,When you threw the bag in the pan I figured that was the 10 ounces , oh well. I remembered someone said one troy ounce can be made into a wire (or thread) 35 miles long , never saw it but probably true... for industrial use.
At first I thought you might've gotten a special bucket from Grant. Separate the sand and a few pebbles from the bucket of gold type of thing but oh well. Probably wouldn't be that good of a video since it'd practically be no panning and more of a promo. Still a good video on goldn's marketing trick.

Hey i was getting paydirt from Mammoth gold, they used the same picture. At first the gold was ok, for the first and second are ok then the next 12 to 14 bags, in all of them, the bags. I would only 8 small flakes. So in about 16 bags of dirt i got 3.3 grams of gold.
I bought this paydirt for my second Peter ever and got screwed but there was another paydirt company I can't remember the name of it off of Amazon I got a gold pan is set of tweezers and a gold vial and I found more gold in it and I only spent $20 on it that is definitely worth it and the gold pan was fairly large
Very misleading I agree. If you run out of dirt you can do a blooper reel of all the oopsies that happened. And, if you get really bored you can create "Flatten Gold" cereal! In the mean time, kepp up the good work and videos.

I did visit Massachusetts last year for some treasure hunting and did some metal detecting, civil war relics, found gold in the surrounding states

My son and I have watched a few of your videos together and $15 seems like a good price to pay for the experience of trying our hand at panning even if we only get a couple of flakes out of it.

Yep gold can be worked pretty thin ,some of that bedrock gold in cracks you can bareley see from the side but it can still be a good flake ,When you threw the bag in the pan I figured that was the 10 ounces , oh well. I remembered someone said one troy ounce can be made into a wire (or thread) 35 miles long , never saw it but probably true... for industrial use.
I have ceased buying from anyone that doesn’t guarantee an amount! Like you have said so many times and buying from Goldn paydirt solved that!

At first I thought you might've gotten a special bucket from Grant. Separate the sand and a few pebbles from the bucket of gold type of thing but oh well. Probably wouldn't be that good of a video since it'd practically be no panning and more of a promo. Still a good video on goldn's marketing trick.

Hey i was getting paydirt from Mammoth gold, they used the same picture. At first the gold was ok, for the first and second are ok then the next 12 to 14 bags, in all of them, the bags. I would only 8 small flakes. So in about 16 bags of dirt i got 3.3 grams of gold.
They had sluiced bags of sand from Lowes and Home Depot. They found gold in all the bags, but not enough to make it worth while

I bought this paydirt for my second Peter ever and got screwed but there was another paydirt company I can't remember the name of it off of Amazon I got a gold pan is set of tweezers and a gold vial and I found more gold in it and I only spent $20 on it that is definitely worth it and the gold pan was fairly large

Very misleading I agree. If you run out of dirt you can do a blooper reel of all the oopsies that happened. And, if you get really bored you can create "Flatten Gold" cereal! In the mean time, kepp up the good work and videos.
