For the 4th Wednesday of May, we decided to head up to Cecil for this Darley Model 5. This siren was recently put back up after being down for a couple years, and as you can probably tell, it was given a nice fresh coat of red paint. They might have also done some maintenance on the motor, as it peaks at a slightly higher pitch than it did before. It was quite windy on this day, which caused my shots to come out pretty shaky even with image stabilization turned on. For that reason, I applied some additional stabilization in post. Unfortunately, there is still some frame warping and distortion from how aggressively the camera was shaking, but it's miles better than it was before.
This thing was pretty loud, but definitely not the loudest 5/7 we've been to. If my memory serves me right, this might be slightly louder than the 7 in Falls Township that we recorded last October. Anyway, it is nice to see this thing up and running again, especially with the new paint job. Enjoy!
    Tight shot: Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80
    Wide shot: Sony HDR-PJ710
    Audio: Zoom H1n

I'm confused, it looks restored but its almost like they could not fix the shroud
