  • This video features an ACA Banshee 110 located in Swisher, IA, going off twice for the monthly siren test and then it winds down.
Had to visit this beast before the weather got colder and it was worth it. This is one of only 2 Banshee 110s in the state of Iowa. This siren activates two times, both on alert and both for a minute.
Johnson County's siren tests occur on the first Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM.
Recorded with a Canon PowerShot SX540 on December 4, 2024.

Nice video! I really wish I got the opportunity to hear one these. I had one only about 20 minutes away from me in Cadott and then Hudson.

what is that sudden hiccup during the first windup, looks like a motor starter issue?

Johnson County always sends their activation tones out per town twice in case if it misses it's tones the first time.
