- Tree of Savior has 80 different character classes. Crazy, right? How does it manage to have so many classes? Well the system is slightly different than what you're used to.

They actually changed it so that you can infact Rank Up to any class available at that point. E.g. If you were a wizard who went to Circle 3 Wizard, you could still Become a Pyromancer if you desired for your next class advanement oppertunity.

OUTDATED INFORMATION... all classes can be picked even if you decide to go circle 2 or 3 on one. Every rank up gives you 2/3 extra classes to choose from thats all. (e.g. you can go archer1> ranger1> hunter1>archer2 or archer1>2>3 >ranger1>2>3)
This brings me memories from a Final Fantasy, I think I'll have lots of fun with this game

ToS is just a game in it's own league. The fact that 9 times out of 10 the next time you see another player of your current class they'll be different in some form or fashion. The build system is just amazing itself. Reminds me of Luna Online's class system where you could pick a class and advance to different branches to get their skills, buffs, passives, etc except it's hack and slash.

I didn't think I would enjoy a game like this but its great....big fan of loads of classes/lots of possibilities for builds and this game has loads of those 2:D
I am a fan of your BDO videos, was happy to find this when I decided to come try this finally. I bought the early access but never played it because I could never decide what I wanted to play. Now that I've come back to it, I'm still completely lost and so haven't started playing the game yet. Just so hard to find out what you can and can't do with any/every class to make a decision. =/

SO I was looking at the classes and rank 5 rogue caught my attention, would there be a way to retain the rogue arch type since it's the only one in the class tree that has dual wielding. While still advancing forward? SO what I mean is, Would I go to circle level 2 as a rogue, and just miss the option to be a cannoneer/musketeer, Does that make sense.
Basically I'd want to keep the dual wielding rogue aspect of the rank 5 job, would that be possible? OR do I have to advanced past it?
I am super excited for this game, and really want to play it, waiting for the free to play launch, since im not going to pay to acess the game, one week before the FTP goes out.

This is the first game I've been excited about in a while. Also excited for Legion, but that's not exactly a new game. I do wish there was a bit more to the game than combat, which there could be I just haven't seen anything that wasn't combat related. However, that is what has me excited, I guess I just want something to do when I get tired of grinding without just going to another game for a bit.

omggg so happy you're into ToS! I First vid I watched was your blm rotation years ago which helped me and now I can't wait for more swordsman gameplay so I can improve myself again! I played a cleric last iCBT but now I'm leaning towards swordsman (maybe barbarian!)

Hey, what if i just wanted to be a monk and i don't want getting different classes in the cleric circle? sorry newbie here.
Certainly seems like an in-depth class system, nothing we haven't seen before tho, but looks nice.
What i wonder about this game: is the combat always as slow as it is in the gameplay vids that are available to view atm? even if it has great class customization i do not think i will enjoy it if it is as slow as in the gameplay vids, does the combat speed up at higher levels? or does it stay slow even at highest levels? oh and, what is Tree of Saviors end-game about?

actually, its never to late to pick a class you never actually miss it, you can google tree of savior class simulator and see for yourself all the different builds you can build
2 questions
1.Can i start with an archer then branch over to mage skills?
2.are skills (a side from like shield bash skills) weapon main weapon locked?

1) nope, if u start as mage, you only get the mage trees. You cant start as a mage and for example go into swordsmen.
2) Unless specified, no skills are weapon locked but to be safe, its better to check the skills online as the tool tip ingame does not explain the skills fully.
What about clothing wise? Do you stick with the looks of the final class you obtain at highest rank or?
You get a new costume with every class but can wear any previous one or one from the cash shop

I really hope after this current CBT ends TOS has a OBT for a few months. I'd love to actually play a game that reminds me of the good old times of RO. Grinding, hunting bosses with friends and above all actually making you be social with other people. Recent MMO's have it so wrong >.>
Sounds like I'll have to circle 2 every class before advancing. Abilities might get reworked at a later stage, might as well be ready and circle 2 everything to have access to all abilities or else regret later on.
cardiabifida Say you choose a Cleric- if you went to the max circle- circle 3. You would be unable to get any of the Priest, Krivis, Bokor or Diev abilities in any of their 3 circles. This isn't a completionist type system it's an either or type system.

so if I keep my cleric and advance it to rank 2 do I unlock the third classes faster since I keep my lvl 15 and so on
Keeping Cleric won't make you stay at class lvl 15. Class advancenment will ALWAYS reset you to class lvl 1 and the amount of exp needed for leveling class will be bigger with every rank.

If i got a pyromancer, and on level 30, turn on Pyromancer rank 2, i got 1 new skill and unlock the same skills to evolve to 10>15, but any "utility skills" and new skills of a new class,
The question:
Is worth it to upgrade to a rank 2/3 to cost a new skills and new utility skills ?

Its worth it depending on what you build is. For example, pyro c 2 is actually a good pick for going into ele 1 as that benefits from the attributes youd get from pyro 2. Also its possible to go into pyro 1, switch to a diff class, then proceed into pyro 2. Youre not necessarily prevented from going back into a previous class as long as you havent maxed it out fully.
A build like wiz>pyro1>linker>pyro2>ele1>ele2 is possible.

Hi, thanks for your videos and all the information, i have a question. Yeah, i see a lot of cool features, like in a lot of other mmos, but in terms of what do you do when you are playing, how is the game? I mean, for example, i have time to play, but not like most of the people, so when i play i want to do fun things, live an adventure, play against other people. What i dont want is to grind experience, or lvls or material or whatever it is in this game, to... i dont know, be the best at spend time on that? So, how is this game on that, what do you do while you progress your character, is fun to play?
Also, pvp, o saw an arena kind of thing, cool, but is the tipical thing that im bored in 2 weeks, any new innovation on that?

Nahelus This game is very old school in that you spend a LOT of your time grinding enemies. If you dislike grinds this probably isn't the game for you.

the lag is gone unless you have an outdated comp , but yea the microtransactions are still in the game , but is not that bad like some other free to play games , for example SWTOR is probably the worst example of f2p , as long as the game doesn't become p2w is all good but yea there are some pretty dumb mt like chat restriction , that is pretty stupid that you cant yell or talk in world chat cause you need a megaphone , I mean the developers need to get there money some how

Let me get this straight. So each class has its circle and when you rank up the circle you get more skills. But you can't rank up to the next class?

argel musngi Yep! It's depressing because I was asked to describe it to people and said just that... they had no idea what I was talking about. I think I take for granted the fact that I've played so many games that things can quickly be referenced to the most similar system but RO is like a decade old and 10 years of gamers since then haven't played a game with a system like this before.

there's also one from the swordsman tree which is a corsair (a pirate class that can dual wiled a sword/ knife or sword/flintlock)

+Supersonic You will stop leveling once you hit class upgrade, you will continue leveling when you advance your class. So you have forever to make your decision on what you want to advance to.

+Supersonic It would definitely be advised to research ahead of time what classes you'll want. There is no class reset potion and there never will be (just like in Ragnarok). Your class advances are final. However, there is one thing that Fevir was wrong about in the video. If you choose to advance to Cleric Circle 2, you have *not* missed out on Priest or Bokor. In addition to advancing forwards, you can also advance backwards. When you reach job level 15 and have to advance, you can choose any class that you're a high enough level to have chosen up until that point.
I prefer the FFXIV ARR class/job system where you can be whatever you want just by changing your weapons.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying if I start out Archer, I'll eventually have to become a Cannoneer or Musketeer, because even when you level up a class 3 times, you have to move on to the next class. He says it in the video at 1:10. Actually he says you can only increase it 2 times.

For any who watch this now: what he says from 1:22 to 1:40 is not true. You can choose a class that was available at earlier levels.

I hope things go differently here than what happened in Archeage where people mostly went for the "best" cookie cutter builds. But I guess they are cookie cutter for a reason. lol
Haero Blanc Archeage also allows you to flip on the fly. Not only is the time investment in this game much higher but you can't respec
