Vyse Arcadia 60 times 3 is 180... 11 galons divided by 180 is 0.06111 galons, which means each leak is 7.8 fluid ounces... that actually seems pretty accurate!
Update: Thunderf00t has found they are now selling a rebranded plug-in dehumidifier bought from China and sold for a thousand dollars more... this outfit is an outright con.
Dehumidifiers DO NOT produce potable water. The water they produce is full of viruses, bacteria, pollen, dust and dirt. Not safe for drinking untreated.
I can't help but imagine Lindy as one of the following every time I see him: •A Benedictine monk •A Lord/noble •Smeagol (sorry, but its the eyes) •A Victorian engineer •A Mount & Blade character
Yup. This is exactly the kind of "foreign aid" that gives everything else a bad name. I know a few people in the "bringing clean water to Africa" business, and the problems they struggle with are _a lot_ more elementary. For example: - Stuff that gets built with modern technology can't be maintained without modern technology. Spare parts run out, pipes rust, cement cracks, and in a few months the whole installation is worthless. - If there's anything of value, people will steal it. It's just a fact of life, and poor people can't usually afford the luxury of thinking about morals and the community. - When there's water somewhere, the richer people in the community will bring their livestock there to graze. Then the animals pee all over the place, and the water is polluted. What they actually need aren't cool gadgets that look good in a computer animation. They need the kind of tech that worked for the Romans, because it can be maintained by a bunch of illiterate people using stuff they can produce locally, and it doesn't contain parts that wear down, need to be replaced, or are worth stealing.
Autolykos what they need is to help themselves. Poor people cant afford the luxury of thinking about morals, do you understand what you just wrote? Read it again and think about what you wrote.
@@willnill7946 I've been in the position where I had no income and was too proud to ask my dad or the government for help, and I did some minor ethical no-no's, because I believed it was what I needed to do to not feel hungry. @Dave Richardson oh you know the usual minor stuff for which the statute of limitations has passed. Petty theft, distributing controlled substances, receiving untaxed wages
actually kickstarter has better control over their projects than indiegogo. as far is i known you need to have a working prototype for such a campaign.
Lloyd's taking it to another level. He's actually going to visit the place to film it and expose the project. It's Indiegogo/Kickstarter Crap + Content Cop all in one.
a lot of good shit has come out of bigger sites like kickstarter ...but yeeea you better be careful on what you decide to fund. Support me on patreon BTW.
Watching Lloyd doing his videos in one take to me is a big reason for subbing :) I don't agree with half he says, but I deeply admire his conversation and presentation skills. Try talking off the cuff about some random topic like crowd funding for 15 minutes without notable pauses and/or uhhhs yourself and see how hard it really is, then watch Lloyd doing it seemingly effortlessly.
Next project of Waterseer: they land on the sun and because they are quite clever, they go there at night, when the sun is turned off. Didn‘t see that coming, huh?
Thank you. I'll start crowd-founding for a new way to place satellites in orbit, but placing the satellite in a basket, chaining two griffins to it, and placing a dead sheep on a stick tied to the basket, such that the stick holds the sheep just a bit over where the length of the chain allows the griffins to reach. So the griffins will keep flying up trying to get the dead sheep, all the way to Earth's orbit. The basket then drops the satellite, and since there is no atmosphere, the griffins still chained to the basket fall back down to Earth. For a contribution of US$ 95.95 I'll send you a complimentary basket.
I am going to start a crowd-funding campaign to get Bob Barker come and steal your Griffins and set them free, also your dead sheep. After all it worked to get him to steel the Elephants from the Toronto Zoo and move them to a disease ridden compound in the USA where they died of disease.
BlackEpyon on the other hand when some kids do it they become utter twats. questioning every word the teacher says and then making massive fusses when they are asked to do anything
It's very hard to be unbiased, but i'd say in Europe we are slightly better in "nuancing" controversial topics. I can be wrong though. And now that Devos is in charge, I don't think America will have (public) schools in a few years :)
Show me someone who claims he's free of ideology and I'll show you a naive idiot. The main purpose of schools is to indoctrinate kids into "happy, productive members of society". The real question is if the ideology is any good and does what it promises.
James Mcnavery, a simulation would have actual math being done in the background. An animation is just some form moving graphics and doesn't follow rules like a simulation. If they had done a simulation then they would have known that their idea wouldn't work.
Indeed, a simulation is a way to model a system with inputs that you can change, it is not defined by having something to look at. What happens when a cannon ball is fired out of a cannon? Well let's simulate it with our kinematic equations to find the range for specific angles!
+Zablock Awesomeguy Not necessarily. If they made a simulation based on a realistic model of physics, and with reasonable starting conditions, then yes, it would show that the idea won't work. But if they were to use a bad model or unrealistic starting conditions, then the simulation could lead to either totally random conclusions, or it's even possible to make a simulation that will "prove your hypothesis", no matter how ridiculous the hypothesis is.
His videos are like a throwback of everything that was good with old RUclips. Ps. I absolutely love your videos, wealth of info, structure and style etc. informative and entertaining. Thank you :)

+evan448 Bad example. They've already been proven to work. I'm not talking about the weirdo American product though, I'm talking about the Dutch version by Imtech and Ooms Engineering. Yields are roughly around 51% using traditional convertors, and at least 62% using a DC localised smartgrid. Why else do you think Thunderfoot keps silent on that despite several people sending him the documents with the numbers?
He didn't silence on it. He linked EEVblog's video because that guys is an actual electrical engineer and he already did 2 videos crunching numbers on that solar side walk already. He compared the solar side walk with the rooftop solar panel a few street away from it and the number never lies. Solar road/sidewalk work, but not efficiently he said it again and again many times do you even watch his videos?
That's one of the things that I hate about Shad's videos, the constant jumpcuts, it seems like there's a jumpcut every other word. Another bad one is Kristin Joy Weiss, love her videos but they're full of annoying jumpcuts, but I think they've gotten better.
No, those really don't bother me that much, it's his general goofiness and (for lack of a better term) nerdgasms that bother me more. When he keeps his videos a little more serious with delving into the goofy or nerdiness that he tends to get in into I really enjoy his videos, that's except for the constant jumpcuts.
It may not function at all, it might be impossible even just in theory to have a monorail made of rice. But if you CAN have one, then THIS one is organic! So I'll throw 50 in, just in case. Better than one of those awful pesticided fertilisered rice monorails they might possibly want to have, those Monsanto bastards.
Thunderfoot has an excellent video where he debunked the hell out of the "Water Seer". That thing would never in a million years function in the way that they claim.
I feel like he may have seen it. He must have done some research, and it's hard to miss tf00ts video in doing so. That said, not all YTube viewers may have seen it.
Mshojat Yeah, well, as you see in his (thunder) follow-up video, the claimants responded to his video, saying a load of nothing (at least as far as the thermodynamics and actual science goes).
Thing is, Thunderf00t made major errors in both the math and science behind it. Water vapor and steam are vastly different animals and the thermodynamics actually work once you understand that. The problem is (like Lindy mentions) you eventually start to remove the moisture from the base of the bulb because warm air with a low humidity tends to evaporate water. The bulb would need time to cool after each run otherwise you would lose the cooling effect quite quickly.
The real problem is this: The thing is designed to get water from the air, but they want it to work as a condenser. But they want to stick it in regions that are arid. These regions have very little water in the air TO condense. That would be the main failure of the device on top of the evaporation problem. I don't believe that the thing would even be able to condense enough moisture OUT of the air to even get a drop into it. Unless they ran it during the rainy season, and in that case, there's water pouring down anyway. You can't condense moisture out of dry air.
Actually it is possible to condense water out of air with as little as 25% humidity if the temperature is high (100F reduced to 60F) but as you get colder the humidity needs to be higher. At 70F you need 50% humidity to condense water out of the atmosphere at a 50F. Again, the real issue is running warm dry air over cool moist air. The warm air is going to absorb the moisture and lose some temperature while the cold moist air is going to gain some temperature and lose moisture. If you captured an amount of air and condensed it without releasing it or adding warm air to it then you would have a working idea (think along the lines of ice buildup in a freezer). As it sits, without cooler than atmosphere airflow, you have no hope of condensing air at any temperature.
Fund my new project, the UberBucket! It produces water out of the air's moisture, and teleports it directly to areas that have a water crisis! It's an amazing invention. My current prototype is just a bucket, I'm still working on the teleporting part. I managed to gather 2 teaspoons of water by putting cellophane over the bucket and leaving it out overnight.

I had started trying to describe the videos and reading her some of the comments, but it has led to occasional bladder leakage -- I shant say for whom. So she has started watching them with me. Today I came home from the shop and she was watching one by herself; she looked at me, said, "This fellow is a riot! I love his voice and delivery. He's really smart, too." She looked back at the screen, and then asked casually, "Dear, where are our passports? Ya' know, we've never been to the U.K." Lloyd, if you suddenly open your front door one day to a pretty blonde whom you don't know, but who introduces herself as Teri, please let me know.

Two things that don't mix together: the internet and critical thinking. Actually the device is an allegory of the scam in question, it's so poetic: 1. contributors loaded with money are siphoned into the tubes through you tube. 2. They enter a dark and cold hole in the ground where their money is concentrated to the scammers bank accounts "vanishing into a black hole". 3. then they are ejected and discarded by the other people rushing in since "it's too good not to be real" - "all that matters is that I'm happy & cool".
Oh, they do mix perfectly together. One of the best ways to find all the scams and learn to never trust anything (without good proof) is to google anything. In fact, internet is much better at teaching critical thinking, than it is at providing factual information.
sporegnosis The first bit is a bit harsh. I mean, without the Internet actually having critical thinking, neither Shad, Skall nor Metatron would've made videos saying that MatPat was shit. I mean, we knew that already anyways, but still.
Mike Fluff , though a solar road is now being driven on, in Tourouvre au Perche in Normandy. arstechnica.com/cars/2016/12/worlds-first-solar-road-opens-in-france/
At an insane cost. Solar roads have got to be the dumbest idea in the history of ... anything. The disparity between the ideal properties of the surface of a road and the surface of solar panels is vast. You could put a roof over the road, loaded with solar panels angled for maximum exposure, and the cost and effectiveness would skyrocket. Or, I heard about people putting solar panels on the roofs of buildings. Do you think that might work?
I remember falling for Solar Roadways. I backed it for $70, then investigated and thought better of it (obviously bunk), but it was too late to retract my bid. I got rid of the T-Shirt as soon as it arrived (donated to a thrift store), and I'm still disgusted with myself for being taken for such a fool.
I'm sick of this cultural virtue signalling times, scams, half truths and outright false narratives are considered legit and good by both opportunists and naive people. It's time to stop.
It will never stop. The sole concept of being human is based on the confidence in the fact that we are more than flesh and bones, a beneficial adaptation in the form of positive self delusion. Besides, even if you menage to avoid self delusion, the way we remember and feel about facts can never be the fact. In short: we cant handle the truth.

EXACTLY. Initial investors are usually rewarded with stock certificates for taking the investment risk so they too may profit if successful. Giving money to ventures without asking for equity is naïve. Most ventures fail. By definition. Your money represents the fruits of your labor. Don't squander it. This is. It the same as donating to an ESTABLISHED charity which is in place and functional giving support to others. Supporting operating costs of charities is important. That's why they're usually tax exempt. Ventures on the other hand, are not. If successful, they may mean huge profits for the founders. Now...if the venture is non-profit then perhaps that may be a good choice since to fund seed money without equity. If it's a for-profit venture, then ask why they're not offing stock instead. Big. Red. Flag.
Lindybiege seems to be a historian, not a scientist, yet he debunked Water Seer. Using secondary school science. The same level of science taught in all Western countries. Lindybiege should not be praised because he merely engaged his brain. Rather, those scammed by Water Seer should be ridiculed for not engaging theirs.
Oh no, we must take affirmative action so people start rattling the gears between the ears. Sadly, that is the state of the matter: Humans are generally lazy in the brain, not to say stupid
We All want to believe in something, it is human nature, sure we are standoffish to some extent, but there is a threshold where we WANT to believe in things even if they sound too good to be true, if for nothing else, but because we cling to the hopes of better world, and to say that if you give a little bit of your money, you can bring rainbows and happiness to to drought stricken places of the world... then so be it. They preyed on people´s good heart, and being gullible does not make a person "stupid" or uneducated, the things in this video are something that a good natured person may not take to heart while eating a pumpkin spiced muffin in the breakroom, they just pledged money "to be a good person"
I have to admit, the first time I read your comment I thought you meant "Rods from God" which was a proposed weapon system during the Cold War using highly dense tungsten rods in-orbit. The kinetic energy from one being launched toward the Earth (with NO EXPLOSIVES onboard) would compare to small, tactical nuclear bombs. So basically, my first thought was "This guy wants to Kickstart a cure for Africa by killing everyone... Alright, you've peaked my interest. Let's hear his justification."
@@happyfase There's a major difference, though. A proper simulation can be used to show that a concept works, while an animation does whatever you want it to do.

I love how Lloyd does it all in one take. So many videos are heavily edited so the track is chopped every few seconds, making for a result which sort of stutters along. But this video does not do that. A true professional.
Thank you, I learned a lot from this video. It's alright to doubt especially "well meaning" campaigns, even if your friends praise it, and always look for proof.
@TomisHoare nope, He stole $200,000 USD off your former fans with that comic book scam. He even gets away with it scot free, taking down Chris' reputation whilst he's at it. The water turbine thingy is just an expensive version of putting a plastic bag on a tripod, putting a rock on the bottom and getting dew to drop down the bag so you get like half a liter a day
When it comes to pure scams (that is, scams that do no direct, physical harm to anyone), the ones that prey on people's will to do good are the most despicable. They cause indirect harm to anyone in need of help by making people less willing to help for fear of being tricked, and punish the very will to do good. It's the most evil thing you can do without directly getting people hurt.
Thank you so much for this Lindybeige. I try hard not to be the knee jerk cynic who just says "It'll never work", even though many of my friends think that is my position. People confuse skepticism with cynicism all the time. But, having a skeptical mind set can make one a party pooper, since for every idea that actually could be useful, there are a near infinite number of ideas that are simply impossible, so you end up saying "Nope, won't work" a lot.
My first reaction when I saw the Waterseer video: they go out of their way to tell you how far these ppl walk to get water. Why don't they live closer to the freaking water?
Back in my unscrupulous days & before easy internet access decades ago, my friend & I used to dress preppy (wearing the local highschool colors) & go door 2 door saying we're raising money for our "highschool orchestra" (even though we had already graduated.) We even found the actual highschool's schedule of performances & made flyers @ Kinkos so we looked even more convincing. We would do this 2x a month hitting a new neighborhood each time. While no individual ever donated more than $40, it added up quickly. Looking back now as a mature law-bidding adult 😇, it shocks me how easy it was to fool the average person. I'd say maybe 1/20 ppl had enough commonsense & critical thinking skills to question us & not "donate." This is just a digital version w/ a similar structure. Believability & pulling @ heart strings will always empty the wallets of suckers.
There's a lot of dumb people out there willing to listen to anything. I'm convinced now that at least 50% of all people in the US are not self-aware. They just do what they were programmed to do by their parents, their religion, n social media etc. As long as they're approached within the confines of their borrowed values, say for example under the pretense of god or a valued media icon, people will donate/whatever in droves. Televangelists and many others have proven this.
Another great video - for some reason I’ve been watching a lot of your videos recently. These types of scams seem so prevalent, and you hit on something that scientists and medical professionals also have a huge issue with. Good scientists are usually cagey when talking about a subject such as medical treatments and will often talk using words like “likely”, “probably”, “possible”; and rarely use words that infer certainty. Someone who is dealing pseudoscience, most often seem to completely lack that compunction. Patient: “what are my chances?” Medical staff “well, this drug is our best shot, it has a lot of good research behind it and we have recorded data showing the efficacy in people, but the likelihood of success is only about 30% in your disease, and will depend on the extent of your disease. We will try it first and then use another one if you don’t respond, but we can’t make any guarantees.” Charlatan: “I have this amazing oil that will cure your disease 100%. It will also cure AIDS, Malaria, Ebola, and in-growing toenails. I discovered it through a dream. It’s 100% guaranteed to work!”
The ironical part is that first he warns us about the dangers of crowd funding and after that he recommends us to fund him on Patreon. Edit: People already pointed out that there was no real irony. Pardon me for being an idiot.
Wy Vern Of course not, I just pointed out the humour in that connection. I understood completely his point and I don't have anything against his Patreon.
Wohvelivoro That's not ironic. His thing is educational aka no prototypes, no false promises, nothing similar except the fact that they want money. Check your definition of ironic
My first observation of the water seer is, won’t dust be blown down the tube into the water? Thats another problem I noticed other than the difficulty in condensing hot dry air into cold air such that it generates water
Yea, but the message is different. Thunderf00t had his message themed as "This shit will never work and here is why", where the point of this video is more aching towards "For Christs sake people dont fund stupid shit that wont work"
The problem is, thunderf00t's video made major errors in his math and science behind water vapor. Steam does not equal water vapor and the amount of energy diffused is well within the ability of the ground to absorb (this is basically how geothermal heating/cooling works.) The problem is basically what lindybeige said, warm dry air causes water to evaporate.
Steam is not water vapor, no. Steam is actually closer to liquid water than vapor is, which makes it much easier to condense. Your implication that water vapor would be easier to condense than steam is idiotic.
I've been sharing this video so much recently, a bunch of my very well meaning buddies have been sharing the water seer video, so I'm sharing your video to add some perspective! thank you
I am an engineer. It is possible that this could work. The soil temperature will be much cooler so the air being circulated won't be hot when it reaches the bottom, assuming they bury it deep enough. I would guess they need to go between 3-7m deep. The soil temperature is constant at about 10m, but they won't have to go that deep to make it work. As far as the turbine goes, that is most likely a maintenance problem, but some small turbines can be quite robust. A few solar panels, and a small battery would probably be more reliable and provide more consistent power. The battery needed to run it through the night, which is probably when it would collect most of the water. They may do even better by also collecting soil moist in the sides of the hole. The amount of power needed is tiny becuase the air needs to be changed out very slowly to allow time for heat transfer and condensation. While I generally think these things are half baked as well, the physics check out for being possible. The ground temperature is cooler than the air. The question I would have, is how much could it really provide consistently? It may be very temperature and dew point dependent, and there may be times when conditions don't allow it to operate. Is there sufficient water in the amount of air it can process to support the 11gal claim (it can only handle as much as it can transfer the heat to the ground, which is limited by its size mostly and the hole depth)? I would assume they came up with 11gal based on some initial calculations. They could post some initial calculations to show feasibility, they are not complicated problems and the soil temperature is known. The air data can be found from weather data. Some other problems to address. How do you install them? Ideally you would drill the hole, but without such equipment you would need to dig by hand. If the soil is loose it may be nearly impossible to get a deep hole. A change to a wide shallow bottomed device might work better in those conditions. Cost and longevity. The fan will suck dust into the hole, so it has to be filtered, and even then cleaning is likely to be required at some interval. All but cost should be overcomable.
Soil temperature isn't constant when you're blowing hot desert air onto it all day. That's the flaw. There's an ancient structure called an "air well" that uses the day / night temperature cycle to produce water from air. They're fairly sizeable, but do work, cos they're based on non-bullshit principles. They're "crowd-funded" by everyone chipping in to help out the builders. I think if it were me, trying to wring water from desert air, I'd use some kind of compressor refrigeration. All mechanical and simple as possible. That would be Plan B, Plan A being the more sensible alternative of not bothering.
"Waterseer" uses no technology that wasn't available 1,000 years ago. How many 1,000-year-old water orchards are there in hot countries? Actually there's such a thing as an "air well" that uses the night / day cycle to condense water and those can be pretty good. They're not based on nonsense though like this is. The original Waterseer proposal was based around a statement something like "the temperature 2 metres below ground is always stable and cooler than the air above, through day and night". That is more or less true. Less so, when you're blowing kilowatts of heat into it all day. Then it stops being stable. Maybe some sort of windmill-powered compressor thing to cool air and condense water would work. The problem would be getting it done on a level of technology that's maintainable. And also having it be more efficient than just running some pipes from somewhere. Generally the middle of the scorching desert, you tend not to find people. Because it sucks there. People can only live near a supply of water. Bringing pots full of it into a hypothetical village built in the middle of a skin-roasting sandstorm, I can't think what even the point of that is. Like it's to "help some Africans" like a well-intentioned 3 year old might want to do. Engineers need to solve real problems, and throwing money at unicorn farms doesn't help anybody. There are many many ways to help poor people in the world. Stupid pipe dreams not being among the best. Might be good if people in rich countries understood poverty better.
If you're talking about the primitive tribes then sure but they are extremely extremely few. Everyone have electricity and lights in all the villages I ever visited.

Water Seer can collect up to 11 gallons of water if placed under Niagara Falls.
you can collect up to 11 gallons of water if placed under a runnning water tap!
Up to 11 gallons of water if submerged in a lake, river or any other dihydromonoxide container.
Water Seer can collect up to 11 gallons of water if around 60 africans take a leak directly into it 3 times a day.
Vyse Arcadia 60 times 3 is 180... 11 galons divided by 180 is 0.06111 galons, which means each leak is 7.8 fluid ounces... that actually seems pretty accurate!

Cool pfp
Yup. This is exactly the kind of "foreign aid" that gives everything else a bad name. I know a few people in the "bringing clean water to Africa" business, and the problems they struggle with are _a lot_ more elementary. For example:
- Stuff that gets built with modern technology can't be maintained without modern technology.

Hello!
@@mrmoth26 Hello
And please do not fall for the Unicorn-powered baskets. They don't work. It is a scam!
Crows aren't exactly a demographic flush with cash. Maybe buttons, and some string.
I am nothing save a man of logic and I spot no inconstancies at all. My money is yours if you name your two Griffin's David & Goliath.
This needs more likes
I am going to start a crowd-funding campaign to get Bob Barker come and steal your Griffins and set them free, also your dead sheep. After all it worked to get him to steel the Elephants from the Toronto Zoo and move them to a disease ridden compound in the USA where they died of disease.
Just change a single word and it makes sense. It's a money condensator.
Skepticism should be taught in schools. Too bad America's school systems are doing precisely the opposite.
BlackEpyon on the other hand when some kids do it they become utter twats. questioning every word the teacher says and then making massive fusses when they are asked to do anything
JoeRingo the Secondary School Edgemaster
It's very hard to be unbiased, but i'd say in Europe we are slightly better in "nuancing" controversial topics. I can be wrong though.
And now that Devos is in charge, I don't think America will have (public) schools in a few years :)
Hey joeRingo but look at whats happening to america right now WTF is happening over there.
Show me someone who claims he's free of ideology and I'll show you a naive idiot. The main purpose of schools is to indoctrinate kids into "happy, productive members of society". The real question is if the ideology is any good and does what it promises.
They didn't show simulations, what they had were animations.
Spot on! That bit slightly vexed me, too!
They showed a simulation of a scenario which happened to be animated. It was still a simulation..
+Zablock Awesomeguy
Not necessarily.

He didn't silence on it. He linked EEVblog's video because that guys is an actual electrical engineer and he already did 2 videos crunching numbers on that solar side walk already. He compared the solar side walk with the rooftop solar panel a few street away from it and the number never lies.

Two things that don't mix together: the internet and critical thinking.
Actually the device is an allegory of the scam in question, it's so poetic:
1. contributors loaded with money are siphoned into the tubes through you tube.

This reminded me of the Solar Roads, which yes I fell for until it was proven false.
The idea was that the roads would be made by solar cells, and making energy.
Do you think that might work?
originalhgc , I have solar panels on the roofs of three buildings. It does seem to work better than roads.
Just because you build something doesn't mean it works...

The top comments are all asking for collabs.. How disappointing.
ColbOnTheCob I agree but i figure most people just didnt comment but understood
but ears of corn are also deaf
i was just thinking about how i could stand to watch another of your videos. keep them coming, top-notch!!!!!
I've never heard the reverse of that phrase, done well.
notch-top !!!
The video description is priceless! "Beware of crowd funding... support me on Patreon!" Love Lloyd.
But he provides a product - his videos
Crowd Funding is a scam. Please support my Patreon.
(I know he was only talking about certain specific crowd-funded projects)
Thank you so much for this Lindybeige. I try hard not to be the knee jerk cynic who just says "It'll never work", even though many of my friends think that is my position. People confuse skepticism with cynicism all the time. But, having a skeptical mind set can make one a party pooper, since for every idea that actually could be useful, there are a near infinite number of ideas that are simply impossible, so you end up saying "Nope, won't work" a lot.
You are so right Lloyd! I almost got scammed by a charming fellow pitching me a Hannibal Book.
I trust him to deliver
Oh, the irony of this video. 🤨
Remember what P.T. Barnum said? "There's a sucker born every minute".
My first reaction when I saw the Waterseer video: they go out of their way to tell you how far these ppl walk to get water. Why don't they live closer to the freaking water?
My question was why they didn't make canals, ditches, or pipes to carry the water.
''Up to is a figure that includes 0'' Well said sir!
DangerMou$e Thumbs down.
@@willnill7946 woah way to bring race into this, you bigot
Another great video - for some reason I’ve been watching a lot of your videos recently.
These types of scams seem so prevalent, and you hit on something that scientists and medical professionals also have a huge issue with. Good scientists are usually cagey when talking about a subject such as medical treatments and will often talk using words like “likely”, “probably”, “possible”; and rarely use words that infer certainty. Someone who is dealing pseudoscience, most often seem to completely lack that compunction.
Patient: “what are my chances?”
Medical staff “well, this drug is our best shot, it has a lot of good research behind it and we have recorded data showing the efficacy in people, but the likelihood of success is only about 30% in your disease, and will depend on the extent of your disease. We will try it first and then use another one if you don’t respond, but we can’t make any guarantees.”
Charlatan: “I have this amazing oil that will cure your disease 100%.
Pardon me for being an idiot.
is he withholding content to those who doth not cough up?
Not really they aren't remotely the same thing.

Clicked expecting ThunderF00t, not disappointed. Good as always Good Ol' Lindy!
kidna late but i think he does a better job than F00t. He doesnt repeat the same talking point 5 times.
My first observation of the water seer is, won’t dust be blown down the tube into the water? Thats another problem I noticed other than the difficulty in condensing hot dry air into cold air such that it generates water
thuderf00t ripped a hole in water seer last year. he was a lot more harsh than lindybeige
Yea, but the message is different. Thunderf00t had his message themed as "This shit will never work and here is why", where the point of this video is more aching towards "For Christs sake people dont fund stupid shit that wont work"
Grega Meglic I'm not saying this video wasn't good. I up voted it. I'm mearly directing people to TFs video if they wanted to see more on water seer.
Jonathan Gibson
Oh i have no doubt in that. Im merely saying that lindy was less harsh because his message was different.
Your implication that water vapor would be easier to condense than steam is idiotic.
love you man, thanks for the incredible videos.
comrade clarence yep
2 years later...
I guess you were right. Shocking
we should crowd fund an advertising campain to stop crowd funding
lol, how is searching for hannibal coming along?!!
Scam
I'm sure he's had a meeting in honour of every backer since it was funded.
I've been sharing this video so much recently, a bunch of my very well meaning buddies have been sharing the water seer video, so I'm sharing your video to add some perspective! thank you
This is literally a classy episode of "Kickstarter crap", love it.
I have zero idea what naught means.
Ralph McMahan zero
naught literally means zero. Other synonyms include: null and nothing. It's a british thing to say.
It's not specifically a British thing to say because it also is said by people who are not in Britain nor British...
...get it?
Are you American? Do you ever use ought? Thinking about it, I never heard an American say it.
You're overthinking it. The operating physical principle is, you pump money to the scammers, and then it condenses in their pockets.
@@greenaum desert air is very dry though
You will video
'the Waterseers in action'.
Or you will video
'the Waterseer's inaction'?
Ooooo, nice!
This video should be on the home page for all of the crowd funding sites.
Lindy, most of us africans don't live in fucking mud huts. wtf man xD
You dont? My worldview is slowly crumbling apart!
But some do and they don't have electricity, or am I wrong?
Bart Bouwman no you aren't. but Africa's rich live in much more developed cities than we normally see in the west
Most.. This is probably for the ones who actually do
If you're talking about the primitive tribes then sure but they are extremely extremely few. Everyone have electricity and lights in all the villages I ever visited.
