In this vehicle, cruise control is called "idle".... just change gears and idle... on level track that thing, being also a diesel and geared for carrying stuff, could idle in fourth and fifth without problems and that track is not meant for more than 40km/h from what I know...

In America, the railroads use trucks the same way, but have wheels which can be lowered on the front/back of the vehicle and then used on the tracks. When no longer needed for riding the rails, the wheels are raised with truck being driven normally on the road.
I love the addition of the little cattle plow, although i eould mount it further forward, and just so it actually deflects more thungs away from the vab rather than just the wheels

Reminds me of the railbuses British Rail made as an inexpensive stopgap measure to replace 1st generation DMUs called `Pacers' They were (and are since they are still in operation) basically a bus body (Leyland National) on a freight vehicle underframe (only 4 wheels per car - no bogies). They could operate in both directions though!
