By watching this, I became REALLY REALLY realize that Kpop Industry isn't just about the idols. We CANNOT forget the freakin TALENTED PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCREEN, mainly the video editors and producer.
JYP Entertainment Editors is such a chef's kiss! I love how they played (edit) the music video of Straykids, Itzy and Twice. I literally love them.😌🤧😭💙
Case 143 by Stray kids is also a very impressive one with all the foreground inserts (or whatever they are called), you know, how the members dive from a corner of the screen to the other and unveil a different scene in the background. Insane job.
K-pop M/Vs as a whole are insanely good but Stray Kids God's Menu was literally THE music video that blew my mind after such a long time. It's impressively unique and incredibly matched the song like I couldn't think of any better concept for it had it be recreated. It's one of K-pop's masterpieces and until today, I honestly still hasn't seen any MVs that is as shocking as THAT on a first play - not even SKZ's music videos after that.
He is the kind of person who can teach you the hardest things in a fun way and you won't get bored I appreciate your work I have learnt a lot about editing He doesn't just react but explains about every single thing and appreciates the hard work of producer the editor the director and of all the people behind the camera.💙✨
We had to stop with Gods Menu. That mv was INSANE. Another one for perfect match cuts with the face of walking members is DOUBLE KNOT by stray kids. The video is normal quality, but there’s a part where there faces are literally matchcutted to perfection❤️❤️
Since Bigbang isn't active anymore, i only listen to Skz in terms of kr boy group, idk they're kinda share the same vibes, not exact same but my ears goes to em
god's menu changed SO much for kpop music videos in terms of camera usage and editing. there's a clear difference in kpop mvs before and after god's menu

And Monsta X Rush Hour 🤠🏎️🏁 The transitions match the song really well. Starship editors need a raise for their clean editing skills! They indeed ate this and destroyed their haters. 😆 Jordan will probably miss a lot of things since the MV goes fast due to the cuts lol so I put this here, just in case: - at the beginning + the country/western-like whistle: the transition of the cowboy hat covering the screen and then Changkyun/I.M (with black hair and expensive outfit) saying "Eat this!" (0:22-0:25) ✨*ICONIC*✨ - Joohoney's rap part (with red buns/mullet) + pre-chorus: the transition effect of Joohoney making the scene switch to the right and cut to another scene for Kihyun's part (the one with orange hair in the center) (0:52-0:53) - the transition of the car appearing on the screen behind Minhyuk (the one in white outfit with blue hair) and Hyungwon (the one in black outfit with black and blue hair) + the camera angles, then a cut to them being in the center of the decor + a very long shot (1:04) and then a cut zooming out for Minhyuk's part (1:06) and another cut zooming out (1:07) - chorus: the perfect matching cuts, camera movements/angles and zooms in and out for Kihyun's vocal part (1:16) - double matching cuts + camera movements/angles, one with Hyungwon (1:24-1:25) and one with Minhyuk (1:27-1:29) which zooms in twice and then, when does this hand move to the right, it cut-switches to the other scene of Joohoney rapping with the cameras moving around while zooming in and out and the cuts in rhythm with the beat and Joohoney's lines (this will make Jordan feel a bit dizzy lol) - 1st beat drop: the cuts for every "Get down!" and the zooms in and out for every "Hoo! Hoo !" Joohoney says (1:39-1:45) and a smooth cut to a close-up shot of Minhyuk saying "Come on~!" (1:46) while the backup dancers are slowly walking backwards (in the BST, they filmed it normally and edited it so that it looks much cooler ✨*SWAGGIN' SWAGGIN'*✨) - Changkyun/I.M's rap part: again, so many cuts everytime I.M changes a line in his rap part with different outfits and hairstyles like Joohoney (and also cutting the sexy part of the scene 2:01 👀) + the boomerang disappearing and reappearing in the scene and being blurry but not I.M + the camera moving around with zooms in and out - the matching cuts of Kihyun punching the screen (or hitting the gear lever or the accelerator idk) - after Hyungwon and Minhyuk's vocal parts with slow effects and zooms in and out (2:14-2:19) + pre-chorus: the transition of the same scene changing from Minhyuk (who appeared at 1:46) to Kihyun so that he can do his vocal part (2:20-2:21) + there's two cuts between Minhyuk's scene and Kihyun's scene when the backup dancers are walking normally and covering the screen - Kihyun and Hyungwon's vocal part + chorus: the matching cuts of Kihyun with a zoom in to get a closeup shot of him (2:27) + camera angles and zooms in and out - Jookyun's rap part + 2nd beat drop or bridge: the scene that zooms ou twice and then it cuts on Joohoney doing the same hand gesture (aggressively throwing us away of the "heated red zone" lol) + a cut on his "Hoo!" - Joohoney saying "Eat this! (🤐) + chorus: three cuts and zooms out in rythm with the bang sound effects (spot the reference to their song Shoot Out" in Kihyun's line hehe) (2:57-2:58) + a perfect matching cut (2:58) - Minhyuk's vocal part + final chorus + bridge: two other perfect matching cuts with short zooms out (one here 3:03-3:04 and a double one here 3:12-3:14) + a switch to the next scene when Kihyun pushes the scene he was in down and Jookyun ends the song. Monbebe when the MV ended: ⚰️💀👻 There were SOOO MANY transitions in this MV, man the editing effects it had were crazyly on point! 😱👌 A Monbebe just passing by to remind Jordan to react to Rush Hour, because it's a banger, and/or other MVs of MX7 (I highly recommend him to watch Trespass, All In, Hero, Rush, Dramarama, Jealousy, Shoot Out, Alligator, Who Do U Love, Follow, Fantasia, Love Killa, Gambler & One Day + all of Wonho's MVs, these MVs will surely turn Jordan into an Monbebe and a Wenee 😂)
Xtra by AleXa is such a good yet underrated mv, for one of the transitions they literally took the last frame of a close up scene and made a giant print of it that she breaks trough at the start of the next scene and it's so seamless it looks like cg. 10/10 would recommend!

My personal favorite is the key lock transition in Advice by Taemin, it's literally my favorite part of the MV. I also love Stray Kids transitions because they are detailed and very complicated and very pleasing to watch

If you ever make a part two, there is an amazing transition in "Karma" by Kingdom, at 0:31 but also, there are a group of cuts in "Gosebumps" by ONF which are INSANE, they are all throughout the group dances, if you ever have the chance, I really recommend those videos, specially the second one!
Haven't watched this yet (still not sure I should since it'll spoil so many songs for me haha) but I hope the transitions from IVE 'Elven' are there, the one during the 2nd chorus and the one at the end of that bridge, so cool! And yeah that Lalisa transition actually went over my head the first time I watched it!
I saw "HARDEST Kpop Transitions" in the title and instantly thought "it will be a literal crime against editing AND kpop if Stray Kids is not on this list..." 😂 BTW, it's entirely your fault that I'm into kpop/Stray Kids now. I USED to be a normal person. and then I saw your reaction to "God's Menu" and wanted to KISS whoever edited it, and then those 3RACHA producer boys dragged me down the rabbit hole in three days, and now I'm giggling like a schoolgirl over SKZ fan compilations while I wait to pounce on concert tickets. you did this to me, Jordan. when i think of "kpop transitions" i immediately think of wayv's take off that mv IS INSANE its been 2 years and i can't get over it how every single transition is crazy
I don't really know if this would be "CRAZY" but definitely a great transition is in BTS' "Lights" when they zoom into the projection light thing and it has Suga's part next with the same little specks around him.... I can't really explain it, but it's about 3 minutes in and its after the 2nd chorus :) It's truly a great transition.
Really enjoyed watching this video!! Aside from noticing the transitions that I've overlooked when I watched the MVs played in this vlog, it's cool that you also mentioned what editing techniques the editors probably used in making those crazy transitions. You made me more interested in paying more attention to transitions and guessing what editing techniques were used :))
Ateez’s Say My Name have a similar cut as Irene and Seulgi’s Monster. Very fast cutting between Ateez and Halateez (their dark counterparts) during their ending choreo.

i know this is off topic, but I just love how you have a dance therapy every video. you are inspirational🥺❤️
Awww love ya :)
Woah shoot this is awesome. Thanks for sharing and slowing things to show where the cuts are! Super cool
This was my first time watching him and I just hit that button up
Ahhh my subscription list extended
when i think of "kpop transitions" i immediately think of wayv's take off that mv IS INSANE its been 2 years and i can't get over it how every single transition is crazy
👀
"ITZY LOCO THIS PROBABLY THE MOST REQUESTED VIDEO
IT'S THE BEST MATCH CUT OF ALLTIME"
nice to hear it man... Factsss
Oooo I’ll check it out!
I see Lisa I click. I'm a simple BLINK
Lol, same 😂

Ateez’s Say My Name have a similar cut as Irene and Seulgi’s Monster. Very fast cutting between Ateez and Halateez (their dark counterparts) during their ending choreo.
Woaaahhhh
5:40 oh yeah THIS one really made me go wowwww
Let me know if you liked this new format!
i love it!
Superb
If u still don't do anything and react on kpop we literally love it
Can we talk about how, in God’s Menu, Felix and Hyunjin didn’t disappear, they appeared from behind Han dancing… 7:13
The way how he reacted is more fascinating than the transitios. Love you dude. 👍👍👍
Chungha also has some beautifully simple transitions 👌 "Snapping" especially
THUNDEROUSSSSSS BY SKZ

@@Blinx.Editz_27 i knoww i just want to cheering lmao
Not only do I think the Eye Transition in WJSN’S Save Me, Save you will blow you away, the editing in the music video it top notch too!!
