As a YG stan, I have noticed that YG really pays attention to detail (just like matching the beats with the phrasing)... Even with their choreography (especially the ones choreographed by Lee Jung just like here in Pink Venom), the moves match the beat and phrasing that's why the choreography looks clean, sharp, and on point. And this is something that I like with YG because it creates harmony between the visual and audio outputs. I find it funny how people are complaining about the chorus, because it's my favorite part. I didn't really like the rest of the song, but the chorus is just so catchy so I still listen to it.
The way your sights and hearing skills pick up those transitioning visual details and beats at the same time is madness. I can only see the girls singing and flashing lights 🤣
I learned so much in all of Blackpink MV! They always create good styles on music video.. from editing, styles and so on! Best part is no green screen at all and is budgeted mv that I ever watch!
I love the way the story is told here also. In one of blackpinks songs they showed us that Lisa, rose and Jennie died, and in pink venom we so our lovely Jason bringing them back in the same way they did, love the story

The “b roll” footage is actually setting up that final dance break scene. It’s the four girls walking onto the set. Same leaves on the floor, the car tires, four pairs of boots. Absolutely genius.
This is definitely LISA'S ERA.... I mean how this girl slayyed with mv with her Rap, Vocals, Dance and Visuals...... Literally Ate the concept.... And proved why she's the only one holding 3 official positions in blackpink!!
Lisa owned this era, along with Jennie. Their chorus, raps and Lisa's first verse made the song a *masterpiece* Rosé's 'I bring the pain like' is yet another iconic line down in BP's history. As for Jisoo, her screen time says much.
This is the second time Lisa without bangs and we finally have jennie raps back their visuals, vocals, raps at killing me its been 2 years since a blackpink comeback
im not even a Kpop fan but Kpop is so dope honestly, and ive learnt a lot about it recently. like one thing about Kpop compared to American singers is that nowadays, like Nicki Minaj also said, people don't get popular for their voices like they used to, but because of their popularity or their looks, but Kpop idols. they got thru millions of auditions and practice so hard every single day while being on hard diets, dancing and singing hours a day. that's why they're so good even if they JUST debuted. ANNDDD each Kpop group is so well balanced, even if its like 12 people, some are good at English, some amazing dancers, some mazing rapper and some good singers.
The MV is really spectacular, i love the beginning with the korean instrument and chant, i wished that they kept this concept but then it changed to "desert warrior ?" idk. The jenlisa duo comeback love it. But i didn't like the end with just ratatatata "sounds empty" :( but sometimes the title track of an album is not the best songs ! So i am hopeful for the rest of the album !!! Edit : i made a mistake by saying it was the title track when it's not !
This was really insightful. I didn’t even stop to think about all this until you explained it. Good job! This will definitely make me think of how I edit my videos in the future!
Never ever did I think I would be looking forward to learning about MV editing and how it is imperative to telling a story. Watched Pink Venom premier last night. Your channel was first I searched for this morning. Thank you for being an engaging teacher!
i just realised this track reminds me a lot of crazy over love and i have heard no one say something about that, which surprises me. in both intros you hear the geomungo, lisa sings about venom in the first couplet and the chorusses have similar vibes. i am honestly grateful for the memories of those days with crazy over love!!!!
I like all of BLACKPINK's songs, but this song and MV were really impressive. Because I love Korean traditional culture. Look at the scene where Ji-Soo appears first playing the geomungo. And many of Jisoo's ornaments are also traditional. I really love the way K-pop singers reinterpret Korean traditions. Because of their behavior, Korean traditions can still live in the present. I really appreciate BLACKPINK, especially Jisoo.😍
They are so talented and the visuals are amazing and stunning... too bad I couldn't appreciate them without pausing frame by frame because of all the unnecessary cuts (editing). The song was intense, the girls have an absurd amount of charisma and strength, so this crazy edit was not necessary to bring that on the screen, they are enough. Honestly, the video made me kind of nauseous and upset because I couldn't appreciate the details put into the sets and everything. The song is a bop though, and the art direction is incredible, this is just my opinion about the editing chosen for this video, it's not good or bad, it's just VERY jarring for me. Ps: Rosé's guitar deserved better! So iconic, I wished for more screen time for that. It was like an tribute to Stranger Things though.
Exactly, i'm on the same opinion. Ineed to pause in every scene to appreciate every moment. The cuts are too much. I want to consume every moment, they're very beautiful, but it's getting overwhelming with the editing
I was pretty chill with the cuts until that second chorus hit, and then I felt very disoriented. I’m glad I’m not alone. I also agree with the guitar playing. I wanted to see her properly in a full shot playing the notes.
I agree that the MV did not do justice to the set, outfits and the choreography. The cuts and editing in the MV were really excessive and too much. Jordan said there isn't any zoom transition in the MV which I disagree, there are a lot of zoom shots/transitions in the MV. You just dont notice it cause of the erratic cuts made every 1 second that you dont notice it. As a professional editor myself, while I do agree that cuts on beats/phrases work well. It was done too much in the MV and you start losing focus halfway through. As if the excessive cuts weren't enough, they added camera movements which makes it really disorientating to watch. In this MV... Contrast =/= Focus. while there is contrast... there is too many cuts that you cant focus. I think it wasn't an issue for Jordan because he was pausing and giving his input throughout instead of doing a 1 time through watch of the MV.
I really really love this video. I loved that you enjoyed watching as much as teaching us stuff. For someone who knows little about editing, I feel like I've been entertained and learned something!!
I'm from London and was passing out at 4:30 am watching the pre show & MV but worth it! Also appreciate that you did make sure she was okay with it! Love ya Jordan! 2:43🌼
LISA did everything A+ she's insane in this comeback. She showed everything and she nailed each. JENNIE's on fire in this comeback too, love to see her rap and to show she's the main rapper. ROSÉ's voice is so angelic and sooo goood to hear. JISOO's ethereal beauty and great voice need I say more. This is their best comeback for me. Everything's on point. I am so proud of them. So excited for their second album coming this September. It's gonna be insane. 🔥💎

wow I didn't realise people pay attention to little details like this. But t hey play such a big part in the MV to. For example I didn't know that rose was holding a heart neither did I know they repeat shots! so cool
i think the “continuity errors” you’re noticing are probably due to the team wanting to highlight the “pink venom dance challenge” that’s going on in social media right now. each member has a part in the dance challenge individually & they may have wanted to highlight that. also, if you notice in the video there is a chapter mark right about the part you are describing. that leads me to believe the continuity changes were intentional.

Am I the only one who noticed Lisa's eyes turned pink when she was holding the black apple on the pyramid scene at 5:41??? The details tho!!!!
The more you listen to the song especially the chorus part where a lot of people are complaining about the drop, you'll realize how good it is. It makes me feel like a sexy bad ass though hahaha.
The drop is my favorite part of the soonngg 🤤🤤
G DRAGON KING ,,,,

I find it funny how people are complaining about the chorus, because it's my favorite part. I didn't really like the rest of the song, but the chorus is just so catchy so I still listen to it.
@@penelopeemery6253 same it verry addictive
The way your sights and hearing skills pick up those transitioning visual details and beats at the same time is madness. I can only see the girls singing and flashing lights 🤣
I learned so much in all of Blackpink MV! They always create good styles on music video.. from editing, styles and so on! Best part is no green screen at all and is budgeted mv that I ever watch!
I love the way the story is told here also. In one of blackpinks songs they showed us that Lisa, rose and Jennie died, and in pink venom we so our lovely Jason bringing them back in the same way they did, love the story
this is their most expensive mv ever created. and it lived up to all the expectations. its their best mv!!! I cant stop watching for real.
I KNEW YOU WOULD REACT TO THIS MV I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT ON OTHER VIDEO SAYING REACT TO PINK VENOM BY BLACKPINK, I'M SO PROUD THAT BEFORE I GET TO ASK IT YOU DID IT BY YOURSELF YOU'RE SUCH A BLESSING😔👍🏻
i feel like im sitting at a video editing class in a prestigous university..i literally listen to all your explanation and i swear to god i almost want to take down notes as if im going to sit for an upcoming exam. ... lol
Their chorus, raps and Lisa's first verse made the song a *masterpiece*
Rosé's 'I bring the pain like' is yet another iconic line down in BP's history.
As for Jisoo, her screen time says much.
This is the second time Lisa without bangs and we finally have jennie raps back their visuals, vocals, raps at killing me its been 2 years since a blackpink comeback
That one "ooh" that comes in the song ( 8:09 ) reminded me of Jordan when I heard it first time
im not even a Kpop fan but Kpop is so dope honestly, and ive learnt a lot about it recently. like one thing about Kpop compared to American singers is that nowadays, like Nicki Minaj also said, people don't get popular for their voices like they used to, but because of their popularity or their looks, but Kpop idols. they got thru millions of auditions and practice so hard every single day while being on hard diets, dancing and singing hours a day. that's why they're so good even if they JUST debuted. ANNDDD each Kpop group is so well balanced, even if its like 12 people, some are good at English, some amazing dancers, some mazing rapper and some good singers.
5:31 LMAO JORDAN HAHAHA
Solo puedo decir que este video es hermoso auditivamente y visualmente.
Que hermoso regreso de BLACKPINK
The MV is really spectacular, i love the beginning with the korean instrument and chant, i wished that they kept this concept but then it changed to "desert warrior ?" idk. The jenlisa duo comeback love it. But i didn't like the end with just ratatatata "sounds empty" :( but sometimes the title track of an album is not the best songs ! So i am hopeful for the rest of the album !!!
Edit : i made a mistake by saying it was the title track when it's not !
This is not the title track, the title track will be out in September
pink venom is a bside thats chosen to be the pre release song
i think this is the b-side track... personally, I love the song and everything in the MV though 💗🖤
agreeeeed
@@username_19388 oh my bad i didn't understood that ! So it's born Pink the title track ?
from debut until now my bias in blackpink is rosé, i really like her beautiful voice, she is like an angel, love you rosé, love you blackpink
This was really insightful. I didn’t even stop to think about all this until you explained it. Good job! This will definitely make me think of how I edit my videos in the future!
The way you explain it makes it so much easier to understand. Thanks for sharing your insight on the whole thing
your videos seriously improved so much i learned so much from just one video. keep it going ❤️
Never ever did I think I would be looking forward to learning about MV editing and how it is imperative to telling a story. Watched Pink Venom premier last night. Your channel was first I searched for this morning. Thank you for being an engaging teacher!
Watching this in slo-mo trying to understand the techniques used! So on point! The cuts really do impact the MV! Thank u!
Absolutely LOVED this, thank you so much for analyzing this video!
i just realised this track reminds me a lot of crazy over love and i have heard no one say something about that, which surprises me. in both intros you hear the geomungo, lisa sings about venom in the first couplet and the chorusses have similar vibes. i am honestly grateful for the memories of those days with crazy over love!!!!
49M IN 9 HOURS WOW THIS IS INSANE !!! 🤯💗
Already 50
But we need more!! Let's get 115M in 24hrs 100M atleast
@@blinkpop16 the girls said they didn't set goals for this song so lets just enjoy the song and wait until their album to set goals
@@strawberry_latte562 its okay, we can make another record for another song 😌😍
@@strawberry_latte562 still doesn't hurt to break a record or two😅😂
I like all of BLACKPINK's songs, but this song and MV were really impressive.

G DRAGON KING G DRAGON
Omg, these girls need to just make a movie already!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
At first listen i was not the biggest fan, after listening to it several times I’m utterly obsessed
Congratulations for being on the trending page!! I’ve been watching you for a while now and couldn’t be more happier for you. You deserve it. TO MANY MORE OF YOUR VIDOES ON THE TRENDING PAGE ❤️
Is that good or bad? Ending up on the Trending page because of someone else's content he is reacting to.
@@CosmicGoku529 it's because of his knowledge about editing and all that stuff, not every reactor is gonna hit the trending page.
@@roses_are_rosies-g4h I seriously doubt people give that much of a crap about his knowledge on editing to put him on the trending page.
They slayyyyyy this comeback outfit to original sets to vocal to rapping and visual everything is 100% perfect
i think hooded figures started when exo - mama mv back then(?)
Am I the only one who noticed that when Lisa rapped the part "I am Celine", she pointed out her hat which is a Celine? I mean, she moved her fingers to the name of the brand to highlight the Celine.
I think everybody saw that
Hi Jordan, in college, I took a broadcast major in 2003, and the post-production subject was the only subject I feared the most because of the attention to detail to create one good video. Watching your videos and explaining all the elements reminds me of the said subject in college 😅 It's like watching my lecturer explain it and it brings all nostalgic feelings (I hate the subject but the lecturer was cool af). I remember I have to watch 3 Mini DV tapes to find shots to create 3 minutes video. So thank you for your channel and your enthusiast reaction while not missing on educating us for element in the video
I love this story. Thanks so much for watching!

i just love the reaction community like we got video editors , dancers, vocal coaches, musicians, producers, stylist, kpoper oldies and newbies and many more so we can see how they watch and give comment on their own perspective and taste And it's actually knowledgable if you actually think about. i don't know bout you but i watch reactions everytime a new kpop mv came out. keep up guys... ♥♥♥
1:57 Sorry but I just have to say this. BTS didn't start that. Many have done it. The most iconic hooded clip in kpop (mostly used in memes and video edits) is the one from EXO's MAMA. You should react to that MV
Yeah I was about to say that too MAMA was iconic
At 5:36 you can see Lisa's eye turn pink after she bite the apple
Hey Jordan! I really love how you explained each cut. There’s sooo much to learn! Please keep on doing these kind of reaction video *whispers* (especially Blackpink videos) 😂
You are professional bro, how you're catching all this edition moments and explaining it so easily was very impressive and informative. That's some interesting nd fun reaction, I really enjoyed, thank you!

I like the way someone explain about the editing and others for their video, cause their video is about an art.
Thats why I love YG Ent, cause they always making an artistic things.
OMG i love this series so much !!!!! love your reactions and insights. for all my looking out on the cuts being on time to the beat, i never realized how they cut the rap parts by the phrase/s !!!!!!! absolutely love it. also the slo-mo from the near end of the rap, that’s my favorite too haha. all the emphasis of the transition on the lyrics on this one (particularly the rap part cuts) gave me a new perspective on video editing. great video as always !!!!
at 2:24 literally all I could think of was "you're gonna look at me tell me that im wrong?! she came down in a bubble DOUG"

I love everything. Jenlisa Raps, Rosè Deep Vocals and Jisoo Visuals.
THEY SLAYED I LOVE WATCHING YOUR REACTION!!
Thank you!! I was waiting your take on the video! Great insights!!! When I watched the video the first time I lost my focus with all the cuts - it's felt overwhelming & clashing but now I understand that this is what they wanted us to feel!
wow I didn't realise people pay attention to little details like this.
