    This is an overview of how to set up a cabinet in Polyboard. See for yourself how quick and easy it is, not at all like working in CAD which is essentially a drawing operation.
    Polyboard is a parametric design and manufacturing solution specifically for the woodwork industry. Add your basic carcass, size it, and drop in assembly details like you would in the real world: doors; drawers; shelves and so on.
    Immediate access to your cut list and plans, or CNC files if you work that way. And if you need to adjust your project, simply resize your model and all details including your output are updated automatically.
    Even more powerful is when you add in manufacturing methods. These are style sheets that define exactly how you want your hardware, materials, edging and other details set up. Instead of setting these up each time you’ve got a new project, do it once and apply with the click of a button.
    This video runs through an example project from design through to output of the cut list and plans.

      Hi Khalil, thanks for your comment! The toolbars seen on the left side in this video come with the Quick Design libraries, which you can download for free on our website. Please, visit this page: wooddesigner.org/polyboard-download-software/

      same - not too smart starting an instructional video from the middle - I just spent an hour (after using auto cad and sketchup for years) and I cant even figure out how to draw a box of certain dementions - seems more like a fancy version of paint

    Good video, How you add those "Quickdesign Methods" to your floating bars?

    • @wooddesigner
      @wooddesigner  4 года назад

      Thanks for your comment. Polyboard comes with a large range of customisable manufacturing sub-methods (style sheets describing how you want to build your projects). These are included within the Quick Design libraries download on the Polyboard download page. We've also got a video on that page with install instructions. Here's the link: wooddesigner.org/polyboard-download-software/ Regarding adding your own toolbars with other commands, you can do this from the View menu > Toolbars and Docking Windows > Customize.

      Hi Roopa!
      You need to download our Quick Design libraries via this link: wooddesigner.org/polyboard-download-software/.
      This will provide the software of many elements, such as hardware, materials, and manufacturing methods. The ones using TITUS are the minifix versions.

      Hi Thibela!
      Polyboard does not have a Mac version but you still can install it with a Windows Emulator.
      You can find more details here: wooddesigner.org/help-centre/software-system-requirements/

    Hello, how can I remove the installed "quickdesign methods" and turn my Polyboard to default without reinstall it?Thanks

    • @wooddesigner
      @wooddesigner  3 года назад

      Hello and thanks for your message, I would be happy to help you. To restore the default version of Polyboard, please close the program and delete the folder Polyboard-lib from your desktop. When you launch Polyboard the next time, a pop-up message will show up to say that it cannot find the folders, and gives you the option to restore the default. Crystal

    can i use this program to integrate vectors for cnc router machine

    • @wooddesigner
      @wooddesigner  2 года назад

      Hi Belal
      For most of the known machines such as SCM, Biesse ,and Homag: you can directly send the files in their native format piece by piece.
      As for some other machines or Nestings, you would need to export in DXF and use Vcarve to generate the G-Code (vectorial language specific to each Machine).
      We will be happy to discuss this further, feel free to reach out to our team at support@wooddesigner.org
      Cheers,

    Why do you add only fron plynth? And why I can't add left and right?

    • @wooddesigner
      @wooddesigner  2 года назад +1

      Hi, thanks for your comment. The possibility depends on the priority with the sides, but it is also possible in this case to use uprights for the sides, wooddesigner.org/help-centre/polyboard-adding-plinths/, a lot of videos are available on our website www.wooddesigner.org. All the best, The Wood Designer Technical Team

    Does it do pocket holes?

    • @wooddesigner
      @wooddesigner  4 года назад

      Hi John, you could show pocket hole positions if you wanted to, but as you would use a jig to apply these manually, it's not really necessary. Thanks for your message...

    Need licence to buy?

    • @wooddesigner
      @wooddesigner  2 года назад

      Hi, thanks for your question! The free version of Polyboard does everything the paid version does, except output the cutting lists and plans (a sample of these is available on the download page). Feel free to visit our website: wooddesigner.org/ for more information on Polyboard, and to register. You can then download and test the free version of the software, and its quick Design libraries.
