@@Jennifer.4 Thanks a lot Jennifer! Yeah it was rather a ‘mountain’ trek than ‘hiking trail’ in places 😎. I mean it doesn’t come out in the video at all but there were parts when Andy and me thought that this is boarder line for an official trek - maybe because of all the damage due to late snow, walking multiple days or just I don’t even know…. Happy that we did it - out of question - great experience and definitely bonding our friendship but I do not want to walk it again 😂😂😂
That looked really hard going Stripey..You guys did so well to get through that..The beautiful views would get you through it..The terrain looked a lot rougher when you were trying to get back onto the route..Superb 😍👏🏻..Those beers looked good 🤣🍺👌🏻 Cheers Robert
@@murchiesmountains2820 yeah was quite a mental game the whole trip imo. This day in particular was hard, obviously didn’t film everything but we explain it in the last series 😂. Aye the beers were fantastic….we were both pretty much done after that 😂😂😂
Fantastic Andy and Stripey! Would love to see more content like that! Had a look at your lighterpack Stripey…just amazing that you are actually doing what you talk about - respect! I would need many more things 😂. Thanks so much for sharing your adventure 🙌👍
@@MaliceGLA thank you very much MaliceGLA! I think that going light or ultralight is rather a mindset…minimalism!? Obviously I am not as good with it in my family life but in general I do believe that real happiness is easier with less material things 😎 Sorry for drifting a little bit here 😂😂😂 Would love to make more long distance hikes but I do not have the time at my hands/ don’t want to sacrifice my family life….good news traditionally I do one adventure with my friends per year and we are already planing the next one 🤞👍
I've just walked the John Buchan way from Broughton to Peebles the day with ma wee Shih Tzu dog - tame in comparison to the GR 54 but still a nice one if you are ever in Scottish borders.
Hi Stripey, another great day on the trial warm and sunny but better than it hosing it down and missing out on all those magnificent views All the best mate
@@camperp195 100% mate! Walking every day for 12-14 hours just drains when you are not used to it. We would love to have had a rest day in the trip but initially we started with 3 people and we couldn’t find more time where we were all possible to get some time off 🥲
Another stunning route, parts of that track looked very precarious.

The sections with the loose rocks looked tough! Good job guys

@Eleanor-fn5vj never heard of the way but will look it up. Thanks a lot for the tip!

Good video
Wow another brilliant video that one area you needed to be like a goat on that one 👏
Thank you very much! Hahaha I wish, could have used two more legs for sure 😂
stunning paths, bit too cary for me
Yeah some bits were quite steep. We had during the trip not only once the feeling that it is rather a ‘mountain trial’ instead of a hiking trail 😂
i thought there were 3 of you doing the walk?
@@albertrussell4224 one of us left, you can see it on day 5 😉
What's the large mammal?
It is a marmot
@@StripeyHatGuy That came to my mind, but wasn't aware of where in the world they are from
Watched it again Stripey, just amazing what both of you did! Respect 🫡
@@MaliceGLA cheers mate, it is rather a trip report as it was for us - long distance hiking is not always glamorous 😂
