Hey Jeff, I’m a central FL autocrosser. I ended up making a custom mount for go pro’s to help show how fast we are actually going, Check er’ out on PP2 mustang: ruclips.net/video/YsA_z09y0yY/видео.html
I think I can speak for a lot of people when I say its awesome to finally see the car out there. I remember watching all the vids when you were going through the process of getting the car, so its great to see it come full circle. Keep up the awesome job man.
This is awesome to see you having fun tracking your GT350. GT350 looks at home on this track. It's fast and sounds amazing. I hope to see much more track day videos like this from you.
Thanks Lourenco! The GT350 definitely feels at home out there. I'm working on some new camera angles (helmet cam) and will have an insane audio setup too to capture the exhaust sound better.
Love the gt350. Revs so high! Because of this I know thats why there was not a whole lot of shifting going on. Makes things easier for you on this track but debating if it would have been more fun with some more shifting.
An experienced instructor is what everybody needs their first time at any track. As an instructor I will always ask for a check out ride my first time at a new track. Don't be discouraged when an experienced driver in a low powered car blows your doors off eventually you will be one of the fast guys all it takes is seat time, Start accumulating seat time now and enjoy your GT350. A lot more fun than sitting in a lawn chair next to you car at a show. One tip, bleed your brakes before your next track day event.
100% agree with you, I'm all about getting instruction and hope to get paired up with somebody good at Sebring. Definitely a lot more fun than that lawn chair haha! I've got Castrol SRF ready to go in too so I'll be bleeding them soon.
Looks like you had fun Jeff! I drove on the MSR Houston track about a year and a half ago with my 16 GT PP and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to more of your track adventures until I can go back again!
Great video Jeff!!! Looks like it was a fun day!!! So did you say you got rid of the MGW shifter? What's your plan with the shifter moving forward, keeping the stock or going with another aftermarket?
Stock is literally perfect in my opinion, so glad to have it back in. Downshifting the car with the MGW made things much more difficult versus stock. If MGW had interchangeable springs with lower tension I would’ve given that a try.
@@JeffAshton Thanks for the reply!!! I currently have a Barton, so far so good so good. Just so you know, ever since I got my GT350 I've been following you; your videos have been a lot of help!!! Keep up the good work please!!!
Was that thee Scott Schubel? If so I need to go with you guys soon I just got a 2017 GT350 and I want to road course it. Looks like fun can’t wait to do it.
I'm glad for two reasons, #1 you are finally getting her out on the track, and #2 I am so glad that I live ~1.5 hr drive from Virginia International Raceway (VIR). Puts that little track to shame! Come on up sometime, you will not regret it!
Thanks Matt, I've got Sebring about 2 hours away, which I'm hitting up next month! The FIRM was still a massively fun little track. :) VIR is an awesome place to have near by, maybe one day I'll make it there!
Nice video and good driving. Can’t wait to get my 2018 GT350 out on the track. I live in the Orlando area and I think you do too based on some of your content I have seen in the past. What track were you driving at?
Great experience to ride with ya, love the sound of that Voodoo. Going to an Autocross this weekend with my nephew in his modded *5 RX7 GSLSE. He runs in SSM and a MR2 Turbo and a Very modded vette C4 are the only ones that beat him regularly. And he always beats the CP Camaros.
Kevin Hausman track attack was huge, I learned a lot there. It’s definitely intimidating getting out the track for the first time. A lot of things to take in at once, but the most important thing at the beginning is getting instruction and being safe.
@@JeffAshton Yea exactly. I've done the NASCAR experience but that's left turns but still fun. Been looking into doing a little track event, let me know if there is one near Central FL man. Thanks for that love!
I was a bit worried my first time too, but our local Mustang club reserved a track for $100 a person and we got 3 instructors too. A half hour classroom on the track and instructions on flags and etiquette, and then we went on a ride along with the instructors in the Mercedes they use in their performance driving classes. He showed us all the markings for braking, turning, etc on each turn, and the gave us a couple of full speed laps. It was wild, and I almost got sick riding in the back seat! LOL! I'm trying some Dramamine next time, but it was a great experience. They told us to take our time, get used to the track, and work up on our speeds as the day goes on. The instructors would even ride with us to help with our skills. I hate that I missed our last track day due to work, but I will be at the next one! Hope you can find a good place to go for your first track day.
That's Great, Finally the Promised Track Video :) Congratulations Man. Side Question; What's the name or make of your Side Mirrors Glass with the embedded Blind Spot glass?
Khaled AlHazeem thanks man, can’t wait to get some more track vids up! It’s just the OEM mirrors that came with my car. My GT350 is a 2017, maybe they didn’t have it 2016?
Awesome trackday video! How does it feel on track in terms of its tendency to oversteer? I didnit enjoy my BMW M4 a few years ago as it tended to oversteer a lot on corner exit and twitchy on hard braking which I think was due to its size. I’m really looking forward on how this compares with your M2 Comp as I’m torn between the two. 👍
Oversteer wasn’t bad out of the corners, the only time it would is if I really mashed the pedal. After some feedback, I started rolling into the throttle more instead of just slamming the gas pedal down like a complete novice. The car feels so stable and balanced, I can’t wait to get back out and keep improving. I’ll eventually have some M2C videos at the track too. I really enjoy both cars!
Let us all know if you do the Ford Performance lowering springs and notice improvement. I cannot find any information or videos on them. I might be you to it though!
Matt Neumann hey Matt! I actually have had them sitting for about 6 months, but have decided not to install them for now. That may change in a few months though!
You know, I have a love hate relationship with this car. Part of me wants to step up from my 17 5.0 PP to a 350 simply because of that rhythmic and beautiful sound, but another part of me says the hell with that because I’ve been streaming the forums and have seen what these engines can be plagued with. Great content either way man, I really need to get into posting more content on my channel lol
Jeff Ashton That’s very true, I’d personally beat the brakes off of it while it’s under warranty. But maybe that’s just me. I always live by the saying “if it’s going to break, it’ll let you know” lol
I can't understand how anyone can wait 1 year to track their car after doing all these track-based modifications? Glad to see the 350 where it belongs :D
You finally busted your track cherry. If you really got bit by the bug you'll soon be a licensed racing driver and competing in real races....ask me how I know.
Thanks for commenting John, your Type R is sweet! Racing looks insanely fun, who knows, I wouldn't say never. I've got a ways to go in my journey, but that's part of the fun! :)

and now it’s donzo
No sweat for the GT350 to take those corners at it's limit. Awesome car.

GREAT VIDEO. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. AND GET BACK TO THE TRACK AS SOON AS YOU CAN. LOVE THAT SOUND .HAVE A BLESS DAY. 😎🇺🇸🙏

Prochargedbeast48 legend has it, it was, but there’s still speculation that it was an imposter named Scott Scootles. 😁

Great job. Takes nerve to do it - lot of risk involved with such a beautiful car. Smart to progress slowly - nobody is born an expert.

Yep, I'm just north of Orlando. This was at the FIRM, it's an awesome little track!
Jeff Ashton Thanks, I will have to check it out.
Whispers in your sleep... "Sebring in 1 month.... Sebring in 1 month... pssst... Sebring only 1 month away" :D
Whispers back to the whispers in my sleep... “Papa don’t forget the butter biscuits... Don’t forget the butter biscuits... yummmy.... yummy...” 😝
Jeff, you need to get yourself a smartycam. It gives a much wider view from the roll bar mount and has overlays to help you improve. I love mine.
Will have to look into it, been checking out different options!

Good to see her out on the track. Is Scott tracking his Porsche?
real talk he’s got an s2000 now as a dedicated track car, check it out on Instagram @thatscooter - he still had the Porsche too! 👍

Blind spot monitoring deletes the blind spot mirrors.

Would love to see more track days! Any chance of POV camera?
I’m 100% doing a helmet cam next time. It’s so much more immersive versus the roll bar that is stationary in the car.
