It's a common practice for Indians or Pakistanis to purchase smaller motels like that, run them into the ground, then leave them in disrepair. The same fate happened to a larger motel here in my town where my mother worked when it was brand new. Indians bought it, did no repairs to it, allowed vagrants to stay in one portion of the motel. Eventually it was condemned and torn down. The last owners owed thousands of dollars in taxes, they left the country never to be heard from again.
The Google Streetview of the "Lakeside Motor Lodge" is from 2016, so it shows cars parked at the motel, and apparently still open. Wild. Those little cottages up top might be what they are trying to salvage for condos, that and the next set of buildings down. I doubt that motel is destined for anything but razing though.
Great explore!!! I'm glad Dude was courteous enough to give you (false) info and move on. You didn't believe that and neither did we! 😂😂😂. Thanks for letting us explore with you. Really enjoyed it!!! Take care, be safe and see you in the next one, my brave friend 😊🙋🏽♀️💙💙💙

This is in Eufala, AL. I've passed it many times, the last being a couple of weeks ago. It still looks like it did when you filmed it in May. Condo's indeed! The building behind it up on the hill, was also a motel.
I live in Eufaula and this is less than a mile from my house. They are slowly but surely fixing it up. Well, at least it appears that way from the outside. They’ve started on the places in the back and are working their up
I am amazed that the plumbing is still there and that the hot water heater was still standing. Wire wasn’t stripped off the heater amazing and quite pleasant to see! You can tell this was a nice looking place at one time but with the mold in the building I doubt it will be renovated . Thanks for sharing another great interesting video 😁👍💕
You mentioned in the video that there are no POSTED signs about no trespassing. In Alabama it is not to be posted. If you are not the property owner you can still be arrested or ticketed for trespassing if you can provide proof that you are authorized to be on the property. You must have proof of permission to be on the property, period. Even if you were verbally given permission, it is your responsibility to provide this proof when questioned by the law. Just a warning. I live here and would explore WAY more if that law wasn't in place. It's because of so many hunting properties and people claiming to have permission to hunt land, etc.
