Hoilett reminding everyone what reliable, quality delivery looks like. Good to see him back in red, indeed. Let's hope when we face off against the big boys in Copa America we take our big boys with us and not use some 'cultural reset' nonsense as an excuse to bring young, inexperienced players to the big show.
“If in the referee’s opinion” is found in the rule book. So the ref could tell the crowd “in my opinion, that was a foul”
Yeah ALL YEAR i've been opining about dropping Hoilett from the CANMNT, and pinheads who want the team to consist of 22 yr olds have been mocking me. This video shows the class of Hoilett's delivery service, WHICH I will reiterate is what Canada is desperately lacking. We have great forwards who are not being serviced 😞
Junior should definitely be picked even if he won’t be starter. He still has quality to come off the bench and make a difference
The T&T match couldn't have made it any more obvious. There were 10 or 11 corner kicks for Canada in the first half alone and not a single one of them could reach a Canadian player. And this was after 5 training sessions before the match!! I mean.....it was embarrassing.
@@greglawrence9230 Absolutely. Had I been at the match I think I would have gone down to their bench to offer my assistance...
@@edbrown4800 If it were me, I'd have Junior starting if/when we deployed a 4-2-3-1 (my attacking formation of choice for this group). Hoilett will only give you about 60 mins or even just 45 in tourney play. I want to see Hoilett sitting in the 10 right behind J. David in the 9. If David was going to play a full 90, I'd bring in Larin for Hoilett and put Larin in the 9, dropping David back to the 10. Or, if David was going to sub out, I'd put Osorio in for Hoilett and Larin in for David (assuming formation and tactics stay the same). But this June I'd want to see Canada form up defensively in a 4-5-1/4-1-4-1 with a CDM (relying on counter). In that case, I wouldn't see room for Hoilett to start, so he'd go back to sub'ing in for Buchanan late in the match. Either way, Hoilett is as reliable a player as they come. Quality each and every outing.
