Not that they need each other to make fantastic music, but man i sure hope the future has more collaboration between josh and mark, some of my favorite QOTSA has mark and some of my favorite lanegan band records have homme and a heavier showing of qotsa crew, but again, not that they necessarily need to, as some of favorites aren't them collaborating as well, but they sure do get something going

That's how you correctly play in an odd time signature, it shouldn't be obvious. Lots of Soundgarden time switches sound natural as well as Animals by Muse! There are few bands that can actually play in odd time without making it sound forced or as I like to say non musical.
