Perfection is hating on sparking zero as a form of cope, something he will never get away from. Since his real full time "occupation" is making porn, this man dont got no dollars. More on this later. Sparking zero was a game i was super hyped for, but when it was revealed to be for PS5 only i started to tweak. Me and my bro dont have a ps5, so we started nitpicking and judging and critiquing everything they showed to convince ourselves that we were not missing out. At a point, we realized we were lying to ourselves. Even though we can't play it, we still think its cool. Perfection however, never got out of that coping phase. Since he releases a vid nearly everyday about how sparking zero sucks, it means he still hasnt convinced himself that the game sucks. He still believes that its cool, so he is ACTIVELY trying to convince himself it sucks. Specifically when new trailers come out, he denies everything thats said. So its technically not his actual opinion. Its what he wants it to be.
Respect the self reflection and honesty. Those are good points and also, I don't have a PS5, would if I could but I have a PC with only a 3060ti. I am quite nervous it may not run as well as I'd like it but there's nothing wrong with not being able to upgrade. I do feel bad for those who might miss out due to that though.
I think it is a form of cope, but not in the way you think it is with him. He has tied so much of his identity around Xenoverse (a game that isn't all that respected) and Sparking Zero really feels like it will overshadow it in a lot of ways. He thinks that if Sparking Zero ends up being bad, that will somehow raise Xenoverse up.

He was the one guy defending the SHIT out of Ultimate Tenkaichi, and hey, I feel that game gets a lot of unneeded shit sometimes, but he covered that game hard. You'd swear it pulled him out of a ravine as a child. Like he had some Josuke level flashback to Ultimate Tenkaichi pulling his car out of the snow.
Only bad thing ultimate tenkaichi had was gameplay. Everything thing else was pretty good for the time. But that being said, the game was objectively shitty.

Worst of all, I personally believe the gameplay was the way it was, due to the best thing in the game, the destruction. The amount of shit you can destroy is amazing. Its to date the only DBZ game where you can make a crater that stays for the entire fight, and also fight INSIDE the crater. But all of it was heavily scripted. It had to be, or else the PS3/360 would have likely caught fire.

I mean you need skill for xeno 2 as well, atleast in the upper limits of pvp. And let's be honest, 75% of people who play sparking zero will beat the story, do a few pvp games and spam moves against a guy and then get off and never play pvp again.

The funny thing is, if you can track down his posts on Gamefaqs, he was being this hater to Xenoverse when it was the new game on the block and hyping up Ultimate Tenkaichi of all games. This is what he does. He shits on the newest game and hypes up an older one he perceives to be less popular, just so when he inevitably buts the game, he acts like he’s some undefeatable god of gaming. If there is a thing that always got me fuming about Perfection is his assumption when talking about game developing, now, I am a programmer, a begginer one, but I, at least, know how game developing works, it is a LONG, DIFFICULT and SCARY process, where you have to do your best to make everything with no bugs, an impossible task when the game (Or softare in general) becomes very big. But no, for Perfection they just copied and pasted BT3 but worse, and, yes, programmers do "recicle" other's code, but, ehi, if the wheel works, why change it? He talks like he is an incredible programmer, designer, modeler and much more, yes, you can criticize something by the looks and you can complain, no, you SHOULD complain about bugs and glitches, especially those which are gamebreaking, but you can't say the programmers know nothing and that they are just lazy pieces of crap because you do not know the backstages of programming, after all, the player doesn't have to know what language is used, how the code interacts with more code and what little pro tip the developer used to improve the game So yeah, I don't like when Perfection puts his gooner nose in something where he hs 0 knowledge, especially on something so difficult s programming a mastodontical game Nice video tho, congrats
I'm not saying I'm on perfections side at all because I'm liking sparking zero alot overall but don't you think that a company this big could've put more unique animations and done better with the beams and beam clashes and made the game a lil more fluid like the older tenkaichis. It doesn't flow as smoothly as it should. There is something about it but I'm just not able to put my finger on it but it just feels cheaply designed for some reason. Just being honest but like I said.. I'm liking it overall
animator here, problem is with high definition models, not all animations will flow smoothely. the reason old tenkaichi looks smoother is due to the lower framerate and the way the models are made, and on old ps2s you couldnt make out a lot of the issues. i will say tho. i think they are slightly off the mark with art direction. just a tiny bit imo. because the explosions and beams and blasts look a bit too defined when compared to the characters and the environments too. so you have 3 pieces of visual stylization that just dont blend well, the cell shaded character, the semi realistic but still stylized environment, and the heavily fx using blasts
@@Chiefland7 the thing is it's not impossible to make it flow smoothely. just not worth the time. because in it's current state it's not bad. it's still fairly functional. and smoothing it for the entire roster's very different combat animations is a heavy task which is arguably time better invested in other aspects.

I know this is just a tiny point that's probably not all that important, but I wanna point out how Perfection is blatantly leaving out examples that would go against his point about character variety in Xenoverse. "Ss4 Goku doesn't play like base Goku etc", okay, but Base Goku plays the same as God Goku, Blue Goku, and even Base Goku Black. There are other character examples that go against his point, but that's the long and short of it

I’m gonna be honest. After watching a lot of stuff on how to properly debate and how to convey an idea or concept. I can’t stand this guy. I’ve never watched, heard or cared about his content or XV PvP to be honest. But MAN, his voice and his terrible ways of presenting an argument and then presenting his justifications is so stupid. He’s talking about a non complete build of a game. I’ll be honest here, DB games are a MIXED bag. Emphasis on MIXED. They can be stellar like FighterZ (and that still had issues throughout its lifespan) and can be awful like the Kinect game or ultimate tenkaichi. But when it comes to online connections they’re consistently sub par. XV 1 and 2 are terrible and online connections and make a Janky fighting system. It wasn’t until 2023/2024 that fighters got ROLLBACK netcode and it’s still janky to an extent. Its one example but I think expecting a perfect DBZ game is asking a lot when the evidence shows that there’s always consistently something whack but it doesn’t mean the product isn’t enjoyable
They really are a mixed bag. I don't expect it to be perfect either and I'm actually worried about the online connections, that could make or break the ranked mode. I'll be going in on more of my concerns or worries in my next video!
@@leonlethal I think it’ll be decent on secure connections friend to friend, which honestly I think this is how it’ll be best enjoyed, like most DB games are. But I think overall it will be iffy. Who knows maybe they finally learned and this one will have a good connection (I’m coping)
Honestly, I think people sometimes forget these games are licensed games. The equivalent of Spiderman games or Aliens Colonial Marines. On average, these games will suck. For every Spiderman (2018), there is a Spiderman Toxic City. And yes, they are cashgrabs. The devs may sometimes be capable of putting in their love and hard work and with enough time even better, but at the core of it, they're just games trying to exploit whatever success their source material has.

Mate, that Zarbon super in Sparking is FAR more powerful mentally than anything. Bro can’t sit there and claim the target of that move can walk off that open-handed, bitchmaker SLAP. It’s similar to the point of the Saibaman Ultimate in BT3 being devastating because it places the enemy in Yamcha’s death pose. It’s absolutely crippling to morale and it’s great that way.
This guy acts like slot numbers are decided and character names are drawn out of a hat to decide who's in the game or not. Anyone who's paid attention to fighting games can tell you that's not how it works. Developers decide on what characters make it in first, and then build the game around them, not the other way around.
The brief GT point he made alongside the roster points in general doesn't even make sense, in Xenoverse 1 GT was literally DLC, and then there was more GT DLC in the second game. He made it sound like the Xenoverse roster is some godsend. Not to mention Xenoverse 2 has like 200$ worth of DLC in general that most of the really cool characters and moves alre locked behind. If I can get a good portion of that for 70 in sparking zero I'll be happy.
Like I get it, we definitely shouldn't hold Sparking on too high of a pedestal until everyone gets their hands on it(except me, it looks peak), but holy shit I have never seen someone with so much hate in their hearts for a goddamn video game.

It's funny that he's going on about the combos on xenoverse 2 when he doesn't even use them. If you've ever matched with super itatchi in xenoverse 2 or watched him play it, he just spams step vanish, ki blasts, and grab, with the occasional super or light/heavy attack
I think I fought him once I was wrecking his character with an infinite combo of straight up hands dude couldn’t handle the fact that I was just using my basic attack only transformed once just for the boost

Now, maybe I am seeing it wrong, but...maybe its a bit of a double-standard to not permit Sparking Zero to get updates and get better over time as a valid argument...yet comparing it to Xenoverse 2 which is a game which is constantly seeing updates post release, even today, he himself admits to it getting DLC still.

it's been pointed out in other places in the comment section, but he's been doing this for over a decade now, back when xenoverse was the newest game he was all over the gamefaqs boards whining about how it's going to be a trash game while praising games like ultimate tenkaichi and playing up his "skills" in other anime games like naruto ultimate ninja storm as (from his own perspective) being the greatest gamer on the planet, now he is a massive XV2 fan that's been playing since the game came out, basically having a red name since the beginning because of his ragequitting, and he's repeating the process for sparking zero none of his arguments are ever actually valid outside of what he's copied from other people's statements, and he goes to every length to not only discredit every argument made of his target game of the year, but also anyone that tries to argue against him (that he doesn't just end up blocking, at least)
I commented on one of Perfections vids and people replied to me trying to agree with him. Shut them down real quick because all the stuff they said was just stupid. Just like Perfection is. Also, the dude forgets that Xenoverse 2 PvP is surrounded by Cheap moves, Broken characters, buggy gameplay, bad connection. And the biggest thing of them all, Modders.
I'm at 21:47 in the video, and as a casual Xenoverse 2 player I kind of agree with him. Specifically when it comes to the Gokus, while they do share some attack animations, certain differences in their combos make even the most basic gameplay with them somewhat different between each one. Not only that, but Z-souls can sometimes define a character's entire approach, and obviously each character's supers and ultimates define most of their gameplan and usage. Specifically talking about Ultra Instinct Goku, he has a Z-soul that makes him automatically dodge any attack that hits him (if he isn't doing anything), and his combo strings involve lots of moving around, just these two elements make him play massively differently from, say, SSG Goku. One of his ultimates requires his entire ki bar to execute fully, but it does downright massive damage, so at least my (nooby) gameplan with him is to gather as much ki as possible so that I combo into his really powerful ultimate. That's completely different from God Goku who's much more well rounded in comparison to UI Goku's status as a glass cannon. Not to defend this guy's shit takes, but Xenoverse 2 has a lot more obvious gameplay differences between characters, especially when compared to the BT series. I won't deny that there are subtle differences between characters, but most of the time this won't change how you play the game too much. Playing as Super Saiyan 2 Goku probably won't be that different from playing Super Saiyan 4 Goku in terms of sheer gameplay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The BT games are (casually) button mashers that are meant to serve fanservice first over any complex fighting systems, and that's okay, but there's no point trying to deflect from something that they clearly are. Again, not defending that guy's other shit takes, this is just the one point he makes that's generally pretty agreeable.
I am legit suprised that this is person still going with this whole schtick. I remember him back in the Naruto Storm days. Just less random hating and more rage quitting constantly. The absolute glazing he is giving xenoverse 2 is so goofy considering what an anomaly of a game that actually is. The game launched a buggy, broken mess and as something that was barely a xenoverse 1.5, only really staying relevant at all due to how much DLC it pumps out that seems to only matter to most for the CaC parts and moves than any of the actual characters included. It's not some bastion of combo variety or mechanical value, it's essentially just the OC power hour with the game continually adding more pieces to make the only characters who matter even more borked. I think I see the problem with him, he's upset that this game is going to draw players away from Xenoverse 2 which based off the last time I played, is having trouble finding players in Versus mode and Raids so with this new game that issue is going to be made worse as more and more players flock to the new game leaving him with less players to match up with and whoever he does match up with is most likely going to be a Xenoverse Sweat Lord that'll clap him hard thus ruining his game since he no longer has any more noobs and kids to bully and trash on. He’s right to say that Tenkaichi 3 is basic/button mashy but to compare it to Xenoverse 2 when Dragon Ball has actual skill-based games (the Budokai series, Super DBZ & FighterZ) is absurd. Plus I mean a basic combo system can be fun as shit anyway which is why Tenkaichi has been so successful.
Would like to point out as an og Xenoverse 2 player there's actually only one combo per character given the fact that most combos in online don't connect properly which im unsure if it was fixed or not given i just play modded now but rendered most heavy ends of combos unusable

@@djnel5145 there is a large group of people and the producer is even aware of.. it's literally one of the only Arena battlers that can be considered a fighting game in a technical sense.. it doesn't take you long to look up Paige or Grand Master or Ponzu all 3 are from EU. NA and JPN the game is played competitively across the world and documented and even done tournaments but hey. You didn't even know Sparking was Tenkaichi until now so what am I saying.
23:44 It does change Super's but to things that make since, like for example if you pick Goku's outfit from the Raditz fight we won't have the Spirit Bomb or Kaioken. But what they do not change is stuff like Animations, Dialog, or Transformations like the era splits do
I want to preface this by saying I am both a Sparking and Xenoverse fan. Sparking's simple combos are brilliant. There is an elegance in simplicity. Every character having a good amount of similar buttons is great because it makes switching between any of the *161 characters (in BT3)* a much smoother experience. It also keeps the game approachable for new players. It's much easier to pick up a controller and start having fun in a Sparking game because of its simplicity. You can choose to not like that direction and that's fine. Everyone has preferences. Just don't go around claiming it's terrible as a result. Just say you don't like it and move on! But that doesn't generate clicks.

Sparking zero was a game i was super hyped for, but when it was revealed to be for PS5 only i started to tweak.
Me and my bro dont have a ps5, so we started nitpicking and judging and critiquing everything they showed to convince ourselves that we were not missing out.
At a point, we realized we were lying to ourselves. Even though we can't play it, we still think its cool.
Perfection however, never got out of that coping phase. Since he releases a vid nearly everyday about how sparking zero sucks, it means he still hasnt convinced himself that the game sucks. He still believes that its cool, so he is ACTIVELY trying to convince himself it sucks.
Specifically when new trailers come out, he denies everything thats said.
So its technically not his actual opinion. Its what he wants it to be.

Those are good points and also, I don't have a PS5, would if I could but I have a PC with only a 3060ti. I am quite nervous it may not run as well as I'd like it but there's nothing wrong with not being able to upgrade. I do feel bad for those who might miss out due to that though.

Worst of all, I personally believe the gameplay was the way it was, due to the best thing in the game, the destruction. The amount of shit you can destroy is amazing. Its to date the only DBZ game where you can make a crater that stays for the entire fight, and also fight INSIDE the crater.
But all of it was heavily scripted. It had to be, or else the PS3/360 would have likely caught fire.

If there is a thing that always got me fuming about Perfection is his assumption when talking about game developing, now, I am a programmer, a begginer one, but I, at least, know how game developing works, it is a LONG, DIFFICULT and SCARY process, where you have to do your best to make everything with no bugs, an impossible task when the game (Or softare in general) becomes very big.
But no, for Perfection they just copied and pasted BT3 but worse, and, yes, programmers do "recicle" other's code, but, ehi, if the wheel works, why change it?
He talks like he is an incredible programmer, designer, modeler and much more, yes, you can criticize something by the looks and you can complain, no, you SHOULD complain about bugs and glitches, especially those which are gamebreaking, but you can't say the programmers know nothing and that they are just lazy pieces of crap because you do not know the backstages of programming, after all, the player doesn't have to know what language is used, how the code interacts with more code and what little pro tip the developer used to improve the game
So yeah, I don't like when Perfection puts his gooner nose in something where he hs 0 knowledge, especially on something so difficult s programming a mastodontical game

I'm not saying I'm on perfections side at all because I'm liking sparking zero alot overall but don't you think that a company this big could've put more unique animations and done better with the beams and beam clashes and made the game a lil more fluid like the older tenkaichis. It doesn't flow as smoothly as it should. There is something about it but I'm just not able to put my finger on it but it just feels cheaply designed for some reason. Just being honest but like I said.. I'm liking it overall
animator here, problem is with high definition models, not all animations will flow smoothely. the reason old tenkaichi looks smoother is due to the lower framerate and the way the models are made, and on old ps2s you couldnt make out a lot of the issues.
i will say tho. i think they are slightly off the mark with art direction. just a tiny bit imo. because the explosions and beams and blasts look a bit too defined when compared to the characters and the environments too. so you have 3 pieces of visual stylization that just dont blend well, the cell shaded character, the semi realistic but still stylized environment, and the heavily fx using blasts

"Ss4 Goku doesn't play like base Goku etc", okay, but Base Goku plays the same as God Goku, Blue Goku, and even Base Goku Black. There are other character examples that go against his point, but that's the long and short of it

I’m gonna be honest. After watching a lot of stuff on how to properly debate and how to convey an idea or concept. I can’t stand this guy. I’ve never watched, heard or cared about his content or XV PvP to be honest. But MAN, his voice and his terrible ways of presenting an argument and then presenting his justifications is so stupid. He’s talking about a non complete build of a game. I’ll be honest here, DB games are a MIXED bag. Emphasis on MIXED. They can be stellar like FighterZ (and that still had issues throughout its lifespan) and can be awful like the Kinect game or ultimate tenkaichi. But when it comes to online connections they’re consistently sub par. XV 1 and 2 are terrible and online connections and make a Janky fighting system. It wasn’t until 2023/2024 that fighters got ROLLBACK netcode and it’s still janky to an extent. Its one example but I think expecting a perfect DBZ game is asking a lot when the evidence shows that there’s always consistently something whack but it doesn’t mean the product isn’t enjoyable
They really are a mixed bag. I don't expect it to be perfect either and I'm actually worried about the online connections, that could make or break the ranked mode. I'll be going in on more of my concerns or worries in my next video!

Honestly, I think people sometimes forget these games are licensed games. The equivalent of Spiderman games or Aliens Colonial Marines. On average, these games will suck. For every Spiderman (2018), there is a Spiderman Toxic City. And yes, they are cashgrabs. The devs may sometimes be capable of putting in their love and hard work and with enough time even better, but at the core of it, they're just games trying to exploit whatever success their source material has.

It’s similar to the point of the Saibaman Ultimate in BT3 being devastating because it places the enemy in Yamcha’s death pose. It’s absolutely crippling to morale and it’s great that way.

Anyone who's paid attention to fighting games can tell you that's not how it works. Developers decide on what characters make it in first, and then build the game around them, not the other way around.
The brief GT point he made alongside the roster points in general doesn't even make sense, in Xenoverse 1 GT was literally DLC, and then there was more GT DLC in the second game. He made it sound like the Xenoverse roster is some godsend. Not to mention Xenoverse 2 has like 200$ worth of DLC in general that most of the really cool characters and moves alre locked behind. If I can get a good portion of that for 70 in sparking zero I'll be happy.

I'm at 21:47 in the video, and as a casual Xenoverse 2 player I kind of agree with him. Specifically when it comes to the Gokus, while they do share some attack animations, certain differences in their combos make even the most basic gameplay with them somewhat different between each one. Not only that, but Z-souls can sometimes define a character's entire approach, and obviously each character's supers and ultimates define most of their gameplan and usage.
Specifically talking about Ultra Instinct Goku, he has a Z-soul that makes him automatically dodge any attack that hits him (if he isn't doing anything), and his combo strings involve lots of moving around, just these two elements make him play massively differently from, say, SSG Goku. One of his ultimates requires his entire ki bar to execute fully, but it does downright massive damage, so at least my (nooby) gameplan with him is to gather as much ki as possible so that I combo into his really powerful ultimate. That's completely different from God Goku who's much more well rounded in comparison to UI Goku's status as a glass cannon.
Not to defend this guy's shit takes, but Xenoverse 2 has a lot more obvious gameplay differences between characters, especially when compared to the BT series. I won't deny that there are subtle differences between characters, but most of the time this won't change how you play the game too much. Playing as Super Saiyan 2 Goku probably won't be that different from playing Super Saiyan 4 Goku in terms of sheer gameplay. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The BT games are (casually) button mashers that are meant to serve fanservice first over any complex fighting systems, and that's okay, but there's no point trying to deflect from something that they clearly are.
Again, not defending that guy's other shit takes, this is just the one point he makes that's generally pretty agreeable.

The absolute glazing he is giving xenoverse 2 is so goofy considering what an anomaly of a game that actually is. The game launched a buggy, broken mess and as something that was barely a xenoverse 1.5, only really staying relevant at all due to how much DLC it pumps out that seems to only matter to most for the CaC parts and moves than any of the actual characters included. It's not some bastion of combo variety or mechanical value, it's essentially just the OC power hour with the game continually adding more pieces to make the only characters who matter even more borked. I don't remember this guy's name, but he was on every Xenoverse video, just taking the absolute fucking piss out of it, no matter how minor the issue was. I think I see the problem with him, he's upset that this game is going to draw players away from Xenoverse 2 which based off the last time I played, is having trouble finding players in Versus mode and Raids so with this new game that issue is going to be made worse as more and more players flock to the new game leaving him with less players to match up with and whoever he does match up with is most likely going to be a Xenoverse Sweat Lord that'll clap him hard thus ruining his game since he no longer has any more noobs and kids to bully and trash on. This guy is on the biggest amount of Copium I've seen so far.

And to answer you if you think he's trolling or is being real, he's 100% being real. For instance, he debated President Rose on Discord and said that FighterZ was claymation. CLAY. MATION. And he went as far as to say, and I'm not kidding: "Why is Mortal Kombat so bloody and not Sparking Zero ? This is clearly censorship". He has 70+ videos just about hating on a game (that he originally was hyped about btw, check his first Sparking Zero video).
He really is mad because Sparking Zero is not on the PS4 (as he not only glazes Xenoverse 2 but also Bleach Rebirth of Souls, which does come out on PS4).
As for the lore section, many Xenoverse 2 RUclipsrs had to deal with TheSuperItachi's antics like Burcol, SuperSaiyanCabby, Seereax, etc... *You talked about the Cabby situation so I don't need to mention it here again.

He’s right to say that Tenkaichi 3 is basic/button mashy but to compare it to Xenoverse 2 when Dragon Ball has actual skill-based games (the Budokai series, Super DBZ & FighterZ) is absurd. Plus I mean a basic combo system can be fun as shit anyway which is why Tenkaichi has been so successful.

Would like to point out as an og Xenoverse 2 player there's actually only one combo per character given the fact that most combos in online don't connect properly which im unsure if it was fixed or not given i just play modded now but rendered most heavy ends of combos unusable

@@djnel5145 there is a large group of people and the producer is even aware of.. it's literally one of the only Arena battlers that can be considered a fighting game in a technical sense.. it doesn't take you long to look up Paige or Grand Master or Ponzu all 3 are from EU. NA and JPN the game is played competitively across the world and documented and even done tournaments but hey. You didn't even know Sparking was Tenkaichi until now so what am I saying.

I want to preface this by saying I am both a Sparking and Xenoverse fan.
Sparking's simple combos are brilliant. There is an elegance in simplicity. Every character having a good amount of similar buttons is great because it makes switching between any of the *161 characters (in BT3)* a much smoother experience.
It also keeps the game approachable for new players. It's much easier to pick up a controller and start having fun in a Sparking game because of its simplicity.
You can choose to not like that direction and that's fine. Everyone has preferences. Just don't go around claiming it's terrible as a result. Just say you don't like it and move on! But that doesn't generate clicks.
Yeah that makes sense. I didn't even consider that a simpler combat system aids in a game with such a large roster. Ty ty 🙏
There is elegance in simplicity, I very much agree. Especially in the Sparking series. Simple on the surface yet finds it's complexities in the techs underneath.
