The saddest thing about Erik is that he doesn't know how to cope with loss or pain. He was basically programmed to use those emotions to fuel his power, so when he's at his lowest emotionally he's at his strongest physically; which ultimately makes him more of a danger to society and himself since he can never find true peace. I've never seen him as a villain, more like a victim of his past. Truly a tragic character and Michael Fassbender does such an amazing job bringing that sorrow on screen. Amazing edit and lovely video!

Actually the directors confirmed by themselves that Magneto is not a villain but an antihero, and now, by Dark Phoenix, a true hero, the only times where he was a villain where in X-Men 1, X-2: United (only at the end), and X-Men: Days of the Future Past (his younger self), for the rest he's usually a good person despite his emotive issues, he may became a villain for a bit but then he understood what he had done and he had a change of heart making himself coming back to be himself again

"I've been at the mercy of men just following orders...never again." That line will always make me respect magneto because you can understand where he's coming from and he has a point. Magneto is a survivor and a relatable character which is fascinating.
Yeah i nevar see him like a vilain, he suffer um his past for his mother was killed and family his own family again, and he try avenger from bad people on his own way, I respect and can understand why he is feeling this pain.
I can relate more with Eric than with Charles. Eric is what happens to you when you get hit by pain again before you get the time to recover from the last hurt. Charles is unearthly noble. He's more an angel than a human or he's humanity at its best. Stellar performance by both James and Michael. Very nice compilation, btw. *Thumbs up*

I'm more like Charles. I'm a human not an angel I do make mistake and get angry but only on the insidec it's better to be the better person when the people around you take their pains in a more violent way. Someone has to be with the right mind.

@@rawzareza5578 Yes but i don't fit here, Magneto may have been a villain sometimes, but he's not a villain, he's an antihero, as i say even the bravest person can be evil sometimes, in Days of Future Past (i'm talking about his younger self) he became crazy for being all that time alone in a cell but at the end he found his mental sanity again and retired only to have his family killed years after, i'm happy that he found it again, he deserves to know the truth about Quicksilver (he is his son) and to have his happy ending

Eric's story just makes me depressed, im not even trying to make that sound like a bad thing , he lost his mother when he was a little boy, and then spent most of his adult life trying to make the world a better place for mutants, and the world just wouldnt accept them, it makes you just wanna give the poor man a damn hug

This is such a good god damn character study. Erik Lehnsherr is so broken because of what happened to him, and I believe Michael created such an amazing portrayal of him. But this video! So fucking good. I love it, watched it on repeat, liked it before even watching it because of the music choice and selective scenes. It hooked me in from the very beginning. It's freaking amazing! That's basically all this comment was about.

Magneto had a rough life because his family died his mother, his wife and his daughter. But he has a son and its quicksilver if you watch x men apocalypse quicksilver says " do you know magneto?" And raven says " yes" and quicksilver says " hes my father" so go watch the x men apocalypse so yeah i hope you like that movie!
