An excellent de-greaser for really dirty door jambs especially by the front door hinge area is to use Purple Blaster diluted 50/50 or even full strength. After you have dried off the areas, I recommend using a light special purpose grease to re lubricate the hinge and arms, as the de-greaser will very likely have removed the hinge grease. A White Lithium Spray, Silicone Spray (WD-40 Specialist) or Teflon / PTFE spray or similar products are all excellent for this purpose. Those sprays will really helps prevent squeaking and rusting. The Lithium is especially good for those winter months as it is very durable in sub-zero temperatures as well as very hot temperatures. Some folks may prefer the ease of the WD-40 Specialist line of lubricant sprays that are available in both silicone and lithium. Hope this was helpful.

Great video, Pan. I love when you do instructional videos. I always learn. I normally use ONR detailer dilution with a chemical guys pump sprayer and a microfiber towel to wipe off. Works for me. I do it every wash so they never get all that dirty.
Ditto mate, works perfectly for me! ONR is like the WD40 of auto detailing, imo. Shit I made a surface clear to use on my black glass coffee table and it works better than any other products my GF has tried.

Hi Pan, Thank you for the video. I always degreased them, and pressure cleaned them, in that order lol. Literally since the 1990's. Then, as I got older, I got slightly more timid. I have been using a rinseless wash lately with a microfiber towel sopping wet on them. If it's really jacked up, I'll use a degreaser first, then a rinseless wash in a separate bucket from the main wash, as if doing wheels and tires. One time, I got paid for an exterior only and thought I was doing a favor by cleaning the door jams and of course got overspray on the seats (as you just did around 10-15 of the video) and the client gave me enough grief that I had to do a full interior because he said his seats were uneven. They weren't. I just told him I did the jams for him and wiped down the seats for him. He took the ball and ran with it. It probably appeared I was covering something. In my world, when getting paid, that is an interior aspect of cleaning. I also separate the cleanings. I don't have something where I do both interior and exterior for one price. I just do my best to estimate somethig to get what I need per hour and to recoup chemical costs. At this point in time I have literally a handful of people I do, but more and more are asking, so I am considering going back into it as a main profession again. I enjoy your videos very much and wanted to see what you did. It was the single only time after just countless cars I had a problem like that. Some people can be just really crappy lol.

The nice thing that I like about my Volvo is that they designed the doors to completely cover the door jams. The doors extend right to the bottom. When entering the car during bad weather your clothes never rub over a dirty door jam. My car is 5 years old and I only pass a damp cloth once in a while to remove dust. That’s it. It looks as new as the day I bought it. However, my wife’s car does need the door jam detailing you are showing us. Thanks for showing us a part of the car that gets missed by a lot of people.

I think cleaning is extremely satisfying. Just in general things look so much better clean. My neighbors probably think I'm crazy because I'm always outside cleaning my car in some way. I even wash my lawn mower everytime I use it, put my favorite Turtle Wax Seal N Shine all over everything.
Pan this is something I never would have thought of, normally I just wash it down instead of using APC. This helps out a bunch!!!! Merci ( I googled it, LOL)
So many people have ongoing to-do lists from work that seeing something actually completed can be of great psychological benefit, IMO. Actually, thinking about this off and on today, I suggest a video solely about the psychological/meditative benefits of car detailing. I'd love to see what you come up with.
Hi Pan. Another thing I've learned over my 35+ years of detailing and cleaning cars is get a very good quality silicone spray and either paint it on or spray it on your rubbers as it will keep them happy as is the case with my 1989 Pontiac sunbird the rubber still look like the day I bought it lol!
Great tutorial! So many people miss this part of the car. I've been on the fence between 303 and Gummi Pflege for rubber protectant and I think this pushed me towards the 303. Thanks Pan!
I actually use some water with some GSF and a shot of green star, i mix it and use my wash mitt or I will scrub with my brush, works great! The reason I do it is so I can get some more foam because who doesn't love foaming action? Thanks for sharing Pan! Can never go wrong with Green Star!

Pan I found that using a pressure washer concentrated through the cracks of the door and trunk openings while closed seems to get enough water on the sills and jambs to allow you to then open the door and trunk and use your soup to wipe down the area. Then, shut the door and trunk lid and hit it with the pressure washer again to remove the soap. It seem to work fairly well and avoids getting too much water into the interior and the trunk.
Thanks for another great video Pan! I will try spraying some clean car shamboo mixture on the door jambs and agitate it with the Detail Factory soft brush. Then I will apply the silicon base protector on the door seal. I hope I will get a good result.
I was originally taking my car in a "premium" carwash shop but after initially seeing videos from Pan and Josh, i became the OC person who washes car twice a week! No regrets though. Now my youtube home is full of car detailing vids, thank you Pan for all the information you shared now and in the past (still on the process of rewatching old vids). One question, whats the minimum CFM required for a blower for it to be an effective dyring tool ? EGO blower is not available in our country but we have some available here but at a lower CFM compared to what youre using.

The most overlooked part of a vehicle and ultimately the most important too, especially in areas where salt is involved. I personally would have used some ONR to emulsify the dirt before rinsing but that is just merely a preference at this point. I've been a huge fan of Green Star for well over a year but Forst has won me over recently for unclogging my Griots ceramic spray coating. Without even using it yet, I'd almost bet that Wet Coat is better than Carpros offering because our buddy in Calgary is also a huge proponent of this fine line. Pan I have to say, thank you for choosing the simplest tools sometimes to show that you can achieve your goals without having the most powerful unit. Case in point, the 1.3 hp air blaster!
Thanks Richard! I hope you are doing well. I’m in Chicago for a super awesome event with 12 other RUclipsrs and we were able to meet our viewers today!

I’ve been trying out KCx WF diluted 1:3 for touching up door jambs and been very pleased. It’s not gonna clean nearly as well as GS of course but it’s handy when you’re in a hurry. Super cheap too!

This 303 Rubber Seal Protectant is what I've been looking for. I hope I can get this at a auto parts store or if they can order for me. This would work well for my 2000 Camry LE. The seals are showing signs of age. There not leaking yet but that doesn't mean they won't in the near future. Thanks again for your video.
I'm amazed at how many detail shops forget this step or don't do a very good job at it. But those details separate the armatures from the professionals in my opinion.
I spray waterless wash n wax and whipe in one direction always with a clean microfiber towel and it looks nice. I will try it your way. Ive learned alot from you. Thanks!
I usually use ONR mixed 1:20 with distilled water and a thick microfibre towel to clean; and then use Soft99 Mirror Shine to protect. Works good so far.
Yeah for regular weekly washes I also use a bit of rinseless and wipe. Because the door jambs are protected like I show in the video, it makes maintenance a breeze.
Passing along a tip I use when spraying along the door sills and trunk channels. Try turning the pressure washer off and use the lower pressure of the water supply to minimize the spray and splash back into the interior
I have been using my rinseless wash in a spray bottle to clean, but in Arizona we really only have dust in the jambs not any of that heavy winter grime.
Yeah once the door jambs are properly cleaned and protected like I showed in the video, regular maintenance is a breeze as I also just use a bit if rinseless wash and I wipe with a microfiber towel.
Amazing video Pan! I do this same method too and when I'm in a pinch I would spray the jambs with a citrus pre cleaner like stjarnagloss forst and just blast it with the pressure washer, it works really well 👍
This is a great video. Now I can clean my door jams with ease. Can you do a video, suggest or share what you use or do to prevent rust. I too live in Canada. Toronto to be exact.

@@PanTheOrganizer and tips on how to clean the door jams without a pressure washer? I typically apply Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Detailer generously to the surface and then carefully wipe with a a couple microfibre cloths as I work around each of the doors. Any pro tips from you though??
Always had some reservations to using the pressure washer on the jambs as I was hesitant on the water overspray/splash into the car, but it didn't seem that bad (obviously depends on the nozzle tip/pressure). I wonder what the splash into the trunk/hatch will look like. I usually just use a quick detailer/MF towel at the end of the exterior wash, but doing a rinsing of the jambs prior seems reasonable enough. So, gonna give this a try next time. As always, thanks Pan.
When doing a polish and coating, I'll do the same for the painted areas inside the doors and trunk lid--although I polish the door jambs by hand since the paint is thinner there. I figure if it's painted, it should be polished and coated.
This method you do perhaps once a month or when you need a deeper clean. Once that’s done, regular washes are simple. A bit of rinseless wash and a quick wipe and you’re done.
@@Ecdetails yes, I have used it for over 2 years. Same with the iron fallout remover(when sprayed doesn't have that rotten eggs smell) and the clay bar which only uses water. 👍👌👍👌

Amazing person and was an honor finally meeting you in person thank you Pan we love you❤️🙏
It was a pleasure meeting you too Moe! See you Saturday! 🤜🏻🤛🏻
I think cleaning is extremely satisfying. Just in general things look so much better clean. My neighbors probably think I'm crazy because I'm always outside cleaning my car in some way. I even wash my lawn mower everytime I use it, put my favorite Turtle Wax Seal N Shine all over everything.
😁👍🏻
Pan this is something I never would have thought of, normally I just wash it down instead of using APC. This helps out a bunch!!!! Merci ( I googled it, LOL)
Yet another excellent step by step process with amazing visible results, thank you for sharing Pan!
Thanks Ricky!
So many people have ongoing to-do lists from work that seeing something actually completed can be of great psychological benefit, IMO. Actually, thinking about this off and on today, I suggest a video solely about the psychological/meditative benefits of car detailing. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Nothing like a clean door jamb!
😎👍🏻
Thanks Pan!
Thanks for watching!
You’re the man bro! Once again you’ve read my mind I literally did my door jams recently and was looking into a good product for weather stripping lol
Thanks John!
I actually use some water with some GSF and a shot of green star, i mix it and use my wash mitt or I will scrub with my brush, works great! The reason I do it is so I can get some more foam because who doesn't love foaming action? Thanks for sharing Pan! Can never go wrong with Green Star!
Jedne z lepszych filmów na YT. Thanks ❤

Hi Pan! Thank you soooo much for creating these amazing car detailing videos! I have learned so much from your channel. Can't get enough. Thank you!!!
Thanks for the kind words and feedback Kathryn! 😁👍🏻
Another good one. The tar remover for rust coat over spray is a nice tip. I use CG Nonsence to clean then TW 3 in 1 to coat the cleaned areas.
Thanks Eric!
Thanks for another great video Pan!
I will try spraying some clean car shamboo mixture on the door jambs and agitate it with the Detail Factory soft brush. Then I will apply the silicon base protector on the door seal. I hope I will get a good result.
Thanks for watching!
Sir, I'm totally in love with your pov detail videos.
I would love it if you do an interior deep detail in pov style
Thanks Ibaad!

For blowers it’s not only about CFM but more about the quality of the blower.

@@PanTheOrganizer thank you! Wow not even 10 minutes and i got a reply! Really really appreciate it.
Thanks Damon!
Another awesome episode of Paaannn the Organizer good friend
Thanks Richard! I hope you are doing well. I’m in Chicago for a super awesome event with 12 other RUclipsrs and we were able to meet our viewers today!
Great tips as always Pan, thanks again for teaching me tricks I never knew, I never knew! So enjoyable to watch and learn from you 🙂
My pleasure!
It's always so satisfying to clean the door and trunk shuts after the winter months👍🏻. Great work Pan!
Thanks Konsta!

Hi Pan, another fantastic video! I use a sponge with a scotchbrite pad on the back, the brush even better idea! Love that you ceramic coat with gyeon wet coat 😍 in the jam! And 303 the jam seals this is a whole new level of cleaning door jams! Thanks Pan! #Get well hope you are feeling better!
Another great straight forward video. Thanks
Thanks Derek!
I’ve been trying out KCx WF diluted 1:3 for touching up door jambs and been very pleased. It’s not gonna clean nearly as well as GS of course but it’s handy when you’re in a hurry. Super cheap too!
Very good information pan. I will be using this especially the G on wet coat application for my detailing. Thank you.
Thanks Jimmy
Great video! I was actually planning to clean the door jambs and there you go. Your video is out! 😁
I read your mind! 😂👍🏻
Amazing tips! Thank you, Pan!
You bet!

Hey Pan long time but back now, great video as always. Cheers Brenton from Down Under 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Cheers from Montreal mate!
Hopefully they’re not too far gone.
I'm amazed at how many detail shops forget this step or don't do a very good job at it. But those details separate the armatures from the professionals in my opinion.
Thanks for watching Allen!
I've never seen a product like the 303 rubber seal protector. I need to get that. Thanks Pan.
😁👍🏻
I spray waterless wash n wax and whipe in one direction always with a clean microfiber towel and it looks nice. I will try it your way. Ive learned alot from you. Thanks!
Thanks Ricio! Glad to know my viewers learn new things when watching my videos.
Great info. I’ve used the 303 product for years it’s easy and lasts.
Thanks Butch!
Pan would like to see a video on what products to clean and protect car accessories like Thule roof cargo boxes, bike racks, etc. Thanks
Passing along a tip I use when spraying along the door sills and trunk channels. Try turning the pressure washer off and use the lower pressure of the water supply to minimize the spray and splash back into the interior
Thanks for providing such very useful explanations
Thanks Alamin!
Great topic, my OCD makes me clean these areas, even under the hood and trunk lid.
Hell yeah! 😁👍🏻
Thank you Pan! love your videos!
Thanks Alon!
Really enjoyed this one Pan!! Have never tried Wet Coat on the jams. Usually just a QD. Looking forward to trying this.
Thanks John!
Hi pan, I always do this when I clean my car great video ❤️
Thanks Raymond!
Pan, Thanks for the tip about 303 rubber treatment. I have been looking for a simple way to apply door gasket conditioner. I've never liked sprays.
😁👍🏻
Midweek update from Pan 💥 The Legend. See you at Chicago 😂🎉
Thanks Glenn! See you Saturday!
I went to eat my first Chicago deep dish style pizza at Lou Maknati’s yesterday!! 😱😁👍🏻
I should have waited till the end of the video. I should've known you would've applied silicone spray to the rubber seals lol great video as always!!!
Hehe thanks! It’s all about the details am I right Stephen?
Pour rincer j’utilise un IK avec juste de l’eau dedans, pour éviter trop d’éclaboussures mais les deux fonctionnent très bien 👍🏻
I have been using my rinseless wash in a spray bottle to clean, but in Arizona we really only have dust in the jambs not any of that heavy winter grime.
I'm in AZ also and just washed my car. I also use a rinseless to clean my jams! It works well.
Yeah once the door jambs are properly cleaned and protected like I showed in the video, regular maintenance is a breeze as I also just use a bit if rinseless wash and I wipe with a microfiber towel.
Amazing video Pan! I do this same method too and when I'm in a pinch I would spray the jambs with a citrus pre cleaner like stjarnagloss forst and just blast it with the pressure washer, it works really well 👍
Thanks man!
Nice one more POV cleaning.
Can u do next time a video about odor removing? (Like the old car smell, pet smell, Parfum smell).
Or exhaust tips.
Thanks! Good idea for a future video.
Great video Pan!
Thank you!
This is a great video. Now I can clean my door jams with ease. Can you do a video, suggest or share what you use or do to prevent rust. I too live in Canada. Toronto to be exact.

I typically use a pH neutral car wash for the door sills. A high pH shampoo like that Koch Chemie can degrade the rubber gaskets and seals.
8:02 I usually use air in those rubber seals before I start. So much sand and junk in that crevice.
Uma lavagem simples e eficaz !👏🏼
Mais vídeos assim amigo. Much love from Brasil 🇧🇷
Thanks!
Never thought of cleaning that, but it's good weekend project now. Thanks for sharing. .👍😁
Enjoy! It’s so satisfying.
I used to use a pressure washer but I now use a Tornador. I find it much better
Yes that works great too as I said in the video.
thank you so much for this video, Its just what we were talking about
Thanks Mike!
That’s really really helpful
Pan you’re always best❤
Thanks!
Been wanting a video on this for too long!!
I hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks Peter
When doing a polish and coating, I'll do the same for the painted areas inside the doors and trunk lid--although I polish the door jambs by hand since the paint is thinner there. I figure if it's painted, it should be polished and coated.
quite detailed as for me I just use a dedicated microfiber clothe for the door jambs and wipe
This method you do perhaps once a month or when you need a deeper clean. Once that’s done, regular washes are simple. A bit of rinseless wash and a quick wipe and you’re done.
Pan ceramic detailer from am details is how I use to protect , unless I’m ceramic coating the car I add it the jams. Thanks for the videos
Hola papi, I also like AM Details Ceramic detailer
