- I Tried Restoring 50 Old Coins for 10 Days. 50 Old Coins Restoration. In this video I showed the restoration and preservation of old coins. I found these coins with a metal detector. Coins of the 18th-19th and early 20th centuries. There was a lot of dirt and oxide on the coins. I decided to restore and preserve old coins. I removed the dirt and did not damage the original patina of the coins. I hope you enjoyed my restoration video.

I got very excited when my new metal detector picked up a coin in my backyard. It turned out to be a token for a pay toilet 😅
It’s probably worth more than a dollar!
Well, you have to start somewhere 😉
Oh, lol

Many have already said that an old coin should never be cleaned. Only the loose dirt should be removed with a mild bath in water and soap. A drop of oil for protection ant that's all. Patina is all the value of an ancient coin. That said, none of those coins have a real value, so no real harm is done: they look good and if you're happy with them, that's ok!
I quite like coin cleaning/restoration videos, very relaxing. Just wish for longer videos. 🫣✌️😎
I saw you working hard cleaning these coins and i would rate 9/10.
The 17th century silver coins are from Prussia, minted under Georg-Wilhelm. They are common and not very valuable. Among the rest of the coins I see a lot of Austrian copper coins, mostly in poor condition. However, they did turn out much nicer than expected.
Good job!
Wow! Beautiful! Rio de Janeiro - 🇧🇷
Amazing Craftsmanship and Restoration 👍🏻👍🏽👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I have NO idea where you get your patience from! The picking out rust with a toothpick! I hope you can sell these coins and make a lot of money for your efforts…. Ten as always.
In the 60s back then in trinidad we use to clean coins a very different way, we use to put the coin in the ground then put some moist dirt on top it and placed our heel on top and spin around a few times with our weight on it and the results was very clean and shining, viewer from trinidad
I don’t know if you do this or not, but I would love to watch footage of finding all these cool artifacts!
Thanks for he video. Interesting to watch
10.Great presentation.

in terms of stupidity. the tarnish and oxidation is what gives antique coins its value now the tarnish is stripped off how is ANYONE to know that these are not modern day fakes?? Mr. dum here just took something that is worth potentially hundreds and made it worthless
Im amazed how he did this
nice restoration
Дуже круте відео. 10/10. Візьму Ваші методи собі на озброєння :)
I like how you restored the coins so it's a 10/10

Very good job 👍👍👍
This was very interesting! Archaeologists love finding coins in dig sites as it gives a good deal of historical context to the site itself. That being said, these are interesting as these "kreuzer" all seem to date before the unification of Germany under Minister-President of Prussia Otto von Bismark. This makes them very historically unique since most people are not aware that Germany was a large collection of different kingdoms, duchies, and principalities until that time. The final exception being Bavaria, which still has a unique position in German politics. Similar to maybe Texas in the US today, since itself was an independent country for a time.
These Kreuzers are from Austrian (Austro& Hungarian) Empire, not from German principalities
Вітаю! Дякую за цікаве відео, Слава ЗСУ !!! Як завжди вподобайка , побажання гарних знахідок.
I would rate the restoration 9/10
10!!!
I don't mind if a coin is dirty; if it's old, I actually find it more interesting that way.
I sincerely hope that you checked for value in their condition before you did this. Some coins lose value by restoring them. I love your work. No doubt about it, but there's always hindsight. Just food for thought.
You did a fantastic job.
I'll give you 9 to 10. Would Like to know what Products you used to restore, also and what the composition of the coins were, Silver copper brass whatever.
9/10
Great result! What stories these coins might tell?
👍
Ngl the coins with dirt look better because even 17th century dirt is worth something
Dirt can also be the 22nd century)
10 +
Great work! I'm just wondering what countries these coins are from though.
10.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
10 - 100%
2:59 The one in the center is three kreuzers from the year 1800. The year could not be identified because you did not turn over the coin of the Frank the Second
Worst thing to be done with old coins. The metal brush is a definite NO.
Good video even though coin restoration is not my favorite.
What's paraloid?
You didn't identify any of them. More information please.
That is prohibited money laundery! Ha ha ha...
Et les tranches ?
As a coin collector, i suggest never clean your coins
True
True but at the same time, you kinda have no choice if you can’t read it. Btw, I am not judging anything you said, I am a coin collector to, and I completely agree
Well that's a new one to me, seeing old coins given new life. Awesome restorations on them bro 👍
spróbuj zamiast paraloidu użyć wosku mikrokrystalicznego
hello sir 9.5/10, is it bad idea to use sand/soda blasting to remove all the dirty part instead of taking a long way just brushing?
You are good in restoring things 10/10 but the coins? Well mission accomplished they are now worthless...
Coins collectors are always super annoying on these kind of videos. "Don't clean your coins, it decrease the value!". Not everything is about money! For some people, the value is about the coin itself and it's historical value. Not just some patina! Like, mind your own business and let people do what they want to their coins, as long as they are not destroying it.

Hoped you checked the value cleaning coins can remove detail and natural patina there by impacting the coins value by a large margin.
Coins should never ever be cleaned. Any value they have is gone

Good job....but boring
don't clean your old coins please
These coins belong to museum
If those coins are as old as you say, you just destroyed all there value. NEVER CLEAR ANTIQUES!

10/10 - these coins are a great testimony of the countrys history
