Underneath the incredible performances and brilliant art it's pretty obvious that Kate had a terrific sense of humour as well. That is what I get when I watch her.

Kate is a genius with her composition... music, lyrics and the way she moves in time to her music, not to mention a wonderful and eccentric actress. What a heroine!
Her body language in this piece with the silhouette cast by her fringe really takes it to a new level with a sprinkle of magical realism. Truly a masterful study. Good song as well, it's crazy how she has that much vocal capacity, there's so much tone. She has such a strong lyric but she really explores the tone and feeling emotion: "I die with him, again and again/And I'll feel good in my revenge" and "You've made a wake of our honeymoon". It really is art and philosophy and storytelling while still being entertainment.
Anybody else notice that Kate's brother Paddy plays both the gunman and the preacher? Interesting.
Well, yeah. He didn't immediately fall on the ground, worship her, and throw his arms around her ankles ... which immediately made me think, "Yeah, he's gotta be her brother or something."
I thought the preacher was Robert Fripp from King Crimson.

She is definitely one of a kind and I miss the originality and passion of performances like hers - way more refined that the cheap, crass, scoptophilia we get nowadays - that are also profoundly erotic, as arousing as they are humorous. This one is one of her finest examples, with a script and delivery reminiscent of Tarantino, she goes all in her performance with an unforgettable tune and lyrics. Some of the poses and frames are so aesthetically engaging that they could become stills or magnificent drawings . Love it

IT will take you a long time, and this is not the darkest of her songs musically. Try Get Out Of My House, Under The Ice, Waking the Witch for darker music. She is multi talented.

This song was recorded in my mind since my early childhood, and I spent years trying to know who was the singer and what was the song !! All what I know was the music and that there was a bride and dead groom, with no lyrics, no song title, and no singer name! Even playing it on a keyboard didn't make anyone knows what was it! I'm SO THANKFUL to finally find it today! It was in my head for more than 30 years, searching for it was so difficult! So beautiful! Thank you! Mercy! You have no idea :)

I love her 'violence' in this song. Even though Kate Bush sound like she is a blood-thirsty criminal, she makes the song funny with her acting and her killing ideas. Any female artist nowadays that make songs like this? No. I wish there was more singers like Kate Bush today.

The number of times as a teenager I stood in a record shop with 'The Kick Inside' in my hands. I'd bought the 'Wuthering Heights' single, but I never bought the album. As a working class lad from Salford, it just didn't seem macho to do so. However, my younger brother did become a very big fan of hers, probably thanks to me.

A great interpretation of an LP track. I love the spectacle of a woman being vengeful, and violent, and full of hate. It's so refreshing. And Kate injects proceedings with enough drama and pathos so that it doesn't look bullish. This is one female artist who didn't find her metaphorical balls inside a pair a sparkly hot pants. Imagine this on prime time TV today. And yet the modern atrocities we are presented with... Oy.
