This is such a beautiful song. My granddaughter sings this song beautifully! She has a love for Broadway 🎭. She is in process to aim for her dream. She introduced me to so many outstanding plays, and these gorgeous songs.💗
There is a quality to this song that they managed to capture through studio recording that retains the live emotion Sara typically can only emote in her, well, live performances. The credit goes to Sara B... of course, but this was incredibly produced and wow, what a powerful song. It's one of those songs that as a musician I'm used to tuning out lyrics by default as my ear was trained over years of playing in bands -- but in this case, for me, the lyrics are what my brain/ear focuses on. All of that may seem weird to many of you, but maybe some musicians can understand what I mean. Anyhow, incredible song. This and Hold My Heart are my two favorite Bareilles songs.
After listening to this song many times in the last month or so...for me, it's a masterpiece. I can't find a flaw. Congratulations Sara, you really did something lasting here. Brava!

I am basically a classic rock fan (my era) but my young cousin (with the voice of a goddess) sang some Sara Bareilles songs for me a few months ago, and I am now a fan of her. She sang this song to me a few days ago and just blew me away. Now I can't stop playing it over and over. What a beautiful song.
