As a Steelers fan, the only emotion I felt after losing to the Ravens was relief. Thank goodness the pain is over. Going forward, I am emotionally numb when it comes to this team. So I have no idea what we would be running back. At this point it's hard to believe in the Steelers and even harder to trust them.

At some point the Steelers need to figure out what their priorities are. Win 10 games and get bounced first round, or draft the future franchise QB. Running it back is just going to delay that another year. Steelers need to become sellers and acquire draft picks to get the future QB and build around him. Their current business model is outdated. What used to be one of the flagship teams in the NFL is out of touch with how to build a team in 2025.

The problem is the veteran players aren't buying what Tomlin is selling anymore. And they damn sure aren't buying what Wilson is selling. We have a mediocre OC with a less than mediocre O'line. We have a D that was Swiss Cheese latter half of the season. Is that on the players or the DC? There were a few 'white flags' but, the one that rang out like the liberty bell is when Tomlin didn't go for it on 4th and inches in the 2nd quarter of the playoff game when his D was clearly on it's heels. If I'm a player, I throw my hands in the air and want to duck into the locker room quick.

When the defense adjusted in the second half, the Ravens only scored once. There were so many 3-and-outs on offense that Russ didn't score enough to keep up. 14 points in a playoff game from an offense led by Russ on the field. Drafted Quarterbacks:
2008: Dennis Dixon (5th Round, 156th overall) - A dual-threat QB from Oregon, he spent time as a backup and started a few games.
2013: Landry Jones (4th Round, 115th overall) - Played as a reliable backup for several years.
2017: Joshua Dobbs (4th Round, 135th overall) - Known for his intelligence and mobility, Dobbs was a solid depth option.
2018: Mason Rudolph (3rd Round, 76th overall) - Expected to be a potential successor to Big Ben.
      Signed Quarterbacks:
      2010: Charlie Batch (Re-signed) - A long-time veteran and fan favorite.
2012: Byron Leftwich (Re-signed) - Another experienced veteran who backed up Big Ben.
2015: Michael Vick - Signed to bring veteran presence and versatility to the QB room.
2019: Devlin “Duck” Hodges - Undrafted free agent from Samford who became a cult hero for his unexpected success.
2021: Dwayne Haskins - Former first-round pick signed to rebuild his career and provide depth.

Tomlin is now staring down 8 years without a playoff win. I can't even credit him for the SB win in 2008. That team was built by Cowher, and still retained many of the Cowher tenured coaches and staff. So Mediocre Mike inherited a winning team and formula. And if it weren't for some breakdowns in defensive coverage on the last drive, and some spectacular plays by Santonio Holmes and Big Ben, they would have lost that game too. Tomlin ain't the guy. Steelers ownership doesn't spend a lot of money on their players. Now occasionally ownership will spend money on lesser players to make sure they have a winning product on the field. So the Steelers are not the cheapest owners in the NFL. That title goes to Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. That why Bookie's in Las Vegas where telling me Dallas last year and year before that they had no chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Spend that money on offense and let Tomlin prove he’s actually good on his side of the ball. Otherwise he’s just a good public speaker

Tomlin's problem has always been he's too good of a coach to ever land you an elite QB talent. You're stuck with low-end rookie prospects at the tail end of the first round EVERY year or some castaway chump who's either washed or soon-to-be washed. CRAZY how good Pitt was considering Tomlin was working with an old, rigid, slow Russ and a RB who moonlights as a QB at backup.
He should leave and let the Steelers crumble into irrelevancy. Hope he gets an elite talent QB cause he's got a few more Super Bowls in him.

Can Fields stop 95,90 and 85 yard TD drives? Remember when Russ fumbled on the 4? The defense then gave up a 96 yard TD drive. Fans didn’t blame the defense they blamed Russell Wilson? Get ready for that Justin. Your team could give up 299 yards rushing, they’ll want YOU gone.

The issue is the quarterback situation. I would had stayed with Fields mainly to see if he could be either the answer or short term solution at quarterback. Wilson is a nice guy, but his speed was the difference maker when he was younger, but he has lost a step. Another issue is holds the ball too long trying to find the big play. Russ still can throw a great deep ball, but it leads sacks which kills drives.

The QB situation is such a no-brainer. Fields got to watch Russ manage an offense for the majority of the season. When there's no way they get a franchise guy in this coming draft, why not roll the dice with fields next year? Draft a serious RB, fix the offensive line and consider bringing in a better OC. If he's bad, great. Better chance of drafting the right guy next time around. But if he's improved you can have a dynamic and athletic QB and be ahead of it.

Over and over and over again, someone is congratulating Tomlin on his winning seasons. Except every year we're sitting on the couch with the Browns watching other teams go forward.
In his 18-year carrier with the Steelers, his record is dismal to say the least. And it isn't like he hasn't had the talent. How many of our players have gone to the pro-bowl year after year?
Every year coaches come and coaches go and nothing changes. So what's the common thread in this mediocrity, Tomlin.
Thus guy should have been fired years ago.
So what does he have on Rooney,? It has to be something good because no owner is this stupid to keep a guy like Tomlin. Especially after a failure like this year was.

From what I recall....Steelers wanted Bill Cower out before he final won a super bowl. Tomlin has not had a losing season since when ? I recall people saying even earlier this year that " this might be his year to have a losing record ". That did not happen lol. In a division that has Lamar and Joe. Also...in a division that ...you could say....all of them are good/decent head coachs. Tomlin still finds a way to win.
Phil said the same things about Reid....that I hear about Tomlin. He" sucks,he is no good, and stop making excuses for him" ....How is Reid doing now ? He didn’t play bad except for when he’s trying to be a hero because nobody’s open. Fields’ athleticism has a higher probability of hiding the flaws in the offense because he’s better at avoiding sacks. His leadership and overall football IQ needs to improve. Russ has that right now.
