I have medium curly hair and I found this to straighten my hair and keep my volume. One thing I hated about my hot tools one styler is that it flattened my roots. Another plus is the health benefits. It’s possibly the most expensive thing I own but it is definitely worth every penny!
This is the review I was waiting for (although I already purchased one). Re: roots. The instructions say to dry roots first with the side of the Airstrait, so you figured it out right. Impressive results! Can't wait to receive mine.
Can’t wait until Elodie gets older and you can do things together, like makeup and new hair dryers!!!! You two are going to have sooo much fun together!!! I just purchased it and I am pleased with the results. You are correct when you say that it is just to make your hair straight and sleek. It was as if I used a flat iron without the damage. I have fine curly chin length hair and I was able to glide it on my hair with no issues. Dyson does say to hold the bottom of your hair and move the tool back and forth over your roots to dry them. It gives me peace of mind knowing I can straighten my hair without the damage of extreme heat.
How long did it take to do your hair from wet? From dry?
@@MatildaOnRUclips It depends on the length and thickness of your hair. It took me 15 minutes but my hair is fine and chin length. As you keep using it you will develop a routine and it will lessen the style time. Also the results get better as well.
@@Sara-yw9lz I color my hair as well and this is gentler than if you were to use a flat iron. Of course with any heat appliance you have to give your hair a “rest”. If it is very humid outside or raining myself personally would just try to use a spray that protects against frizz. Or just forget heat styling let it dry natural with a styling product in it. It all depends if you have hair that tends to frizz like mine. Without humidity your style will last to the next wash. Check out other videos on the Dyson Airstrait see what others think
I'd love to know how it works for 'touch ups' Because I can't figure that one out 😂
I understand how air works on wet/damp hair - but air on dry hair is usually pointless.
I'd also love to see a wear-test comparison between a regular flat iron & this product - especially if it involves a humid environment.
If you did one side of the head with a straighter & one side with this product, went to a somewhat humid environment & then check at the end of the day which side looks best - that would be a great test to see 🥰👏👏👏

For touch ups you will switch to dry mode. And if you want volume boost mode
I'm impressed by the intelligent systems in this tool. Gets off when you put it down, it's not that loud when you open it. That's great.

Got it on friday I have thick curly hair and was impressed. But i will keep my newly bought GHD max because I need it for my waves! Run to get it because once people find out how magic this tool is everyone will want to run for it! I have the airwrap and the airstraight saves so much time! Is not heavy at all! Before I used to blow dry the hair and then style it and after that style it with an iron because my hair felt puffy so this is hands down! GREAT

Perfect timing as I just received one! My hair is similar to yours - love it straight but also love it with some additional styling - not just stick straight. I have the airwrap which I never use...but always use the Corrale which I think I will still need to bend and curl the hair. Would love to see another video with what to do after! @@saadetbadalzade8005 one uses heated plates and one uses warm air flow. The strait is better for your hair health.
I used it last night, it was easy to use, my hair came out gorgeous! I did use the Corrale after to bend the ends. Bonus my hair looks amazing this morning! Yay :)

I think I've watched every video I could find on this unit. The price point is very expensive. More so because I'm in Canada. Did I purchase it? Yes. Because I know this is the perfect hair tool for me. The only thing I'm worried about is blowing the breaker. I'm expecting it to arrive on Tuesday so I'm very excited to try it. Love the way it came out! Would love to try it on my long (almost to my hips) and frizzy hair. I also live in FL, so will be curious if my hair will get frizzy afterwards from humidity. Unfortunately, it's way out of my price range, but happy to see the results on you!

The shine on your hair at the end is incredible! Top tip for those static hairs is to get a tumble dryer sheet and rub it over the top of your head which instantly removes static. It's a weird tip but it works.
A metal comb has fewer chemicals. I liked her tip. I know some companies like kerestase have even marketed hair scented dryer sheets for just the purpose you suggest.

Can you give us an update after a few more uses? Like does it cause frizzy hair at the end of the day or with more uses or breakage along the way?
I think the ghd duet might be a better option. I love that and get better results. You can even add waves with it
Can you add waves with the drying option or only with the high heat styling option? I wish someone would come up with one that styles at the same time.
Regarding the static/coolshot issue: the instructions say to use the coolshot with the tongs closed and locked. Hope this helps!
Love all your videos! I did buy the Dyson airstait and I do love the tool. Only issue I am experiencing with it though is that the cord does not remain straight and it re-rattles up. It makes it hard to use adding more weights trying to re-stretch it out. not sure if the tool I received is defective or other people are experiencing the same thing.
If you can, or anyone else who has this tool, please let me know if yours is doing what mine is?
I get the same results using the smooth brush of airwrap and that takes way less time too.
I didn’t get the Dyson air wrap because I have wavy hair naturally and so using it for curls which everyone uses it for mostly, seemed useless to me and then that new straightener they released not too long ago just didn’t seem to wow me but THIS might be the product I’ve been waiting for.
I thought I’d use the airwrap mostly for loose curls, but instead I find myself using the volumising brush to get my hair looking straight and shiny (but not flat). works wonders! (though now I’m tempted to get the airstrait haha)

That is so cool!! Dyson products seem so dang loud though, it’s one of the reasons I’m glad I don’t have $500 to “blow” on one of their styling tools. Love to see it though, advancements in hair products make me happy!

Absolutely I'm going to rush out and spend $500 on a hair straightener particularly when I can't even afford a Dyson vacuum which is more of a priority in my busy life 😋😂🤣 Sigh ~~ appreciate all the details Milabu💯 but this Cinderella, will have to keep playing in the cinder box 😉

Some thing else to add to the pro column: it didn’t seem like it had a very high learning curve. Although considering you always make using hair tools look easy, maybe that’s not true;-) But it seems like you just put a section of your hair in there and the Dyson does the work for you.
I just wish Dyson products weren’t so expensive (although I understand why, given all of the tech innovation)!!! Not even maybe-I’ll-splurge-on-this-for-my-birthday kind of expensive (like the Shark, which I consider borderline too expensive); more like do-I-really-need-to-pay-the-rent-AND-buy-groceries-this-month type of expensive? Or should I buy the Dyson instead? 🙂

Mine is coming today. I have the supersonic, corrale, and airwrap long so of course I had to add this baby to the family. I hope it works well because I’m sad they didn’t add hot plates like the GHD. I feel like they should have added them as an optional usage thing. Like the GHD does the straighten/blow dry first then you turn that off and turn on the hot plate option. Not everyone has fine hair so sometimes the hot plates are needed to defrizz and add shine.
I saw a review and it didnt convince me i prefer to have the separate flat iron. The ghd its so noisy! Well that was on the video I watched. But imagine if dyson would have done that. Before i wanted to corrale but i read the battery doesnt last long and that is bulky and heavy. Not sure! Hope you love it with this tool im selling my airwrap!
Just a suggestion to protect your hearing, wear your best in ear noise cancelling earbuds when you use it. I’ve suffered some hearing loss from the dyson air wrap, this things sounds loud too.
Gee that's bad I have the airwrap and I already have a significant hearing loss. I don't want to loose all of my hearing.

I guess a lot of negative ions end up repelling themselves, hence the static effect. Too much blowing I'd say. But the metal comb rocks.

The GHD Duet does give nice results. It is better for long hair. The plates are too wide for short hair.

I think the question on everyone's mind is how it compares to the Corrale, Airwrap, and the Flyaway Supersonic attachment? It feels like in theory all four tools should deliver straight, smooth hair but do they?
This is my question too I use Airwrap with the smoothing brush and works well. I hated the corrale! So hesitant about this compared with my Airwrap. Tempting lol

Apparently the copper plates are removable diffusers? If you take them off it then makes it easier to dry the roots of your hair.
I wonder if immediately putting the hair in rollers would achieve volume after the passes
