Great reviews 😊 Sorry to hear The tainted cup didn't work for you...I actually really enjoyed it but I love a mystery. It was my first RJB and it made me want to pick up his previous works. Planning to start Stormlight this year and hopefully finish it before book 5 comes out. Keen on Heartless Hunter and The 3 body problem. 😊
My favourite reads of April were A darker shade of magic, Funny story and Just for the summer. Read a few others, but they were either average or below.

Awesome video and I couldn't agree more with your take on The Tainted Cup... wtf? RJB has been such a hyped author too? The world was amazing but I think for me, not 1 character was likable, such a shame 😢.

I am currently reading The Curse Of Ophelia, it’s a fantasy romance and so far it’s so good. It’s on Kindle unlimited and has 3 books, I’m excited for this so fingers crossed 🤞 that I stay loving the rest of the series and it’s not a flop like the kindred curse saga series lol

I also love Robert Jackson Bennet's other books (mostly) and currently have SOFT dnfed The Tainted Cup. Sad times for me, as it was one of my most anticipated books of the year.. I like Din and that is basically the only thing driving me. 😂

Authors on kindle unlimited get paid per page read. So technically they get paid more per full read through if the book is longer.

I read Heat of the Everflame on kindle and it was over 1000 pages apparently… wouldn’t surprise me if they get paid per page count!

Yea the Tainted Cup is really for people who love detective stories based on Holmes and I am just not that person either, although I did have a better time than you
I wanted to love it!
I’m not a Sanderson hater per se but as more and more stuff comes out i definitely don’t think he’s the GOAT. Some of his stuff is top of the top tier and some of his stuff is definitely not. And when it comes to the character he does (Wayne, Lift etc) I can’t stand when that characterization comes out.

I want to be really honest... Everyone who does book reviews has the worst taste... Most of those reviews I've watched and not one book I liked where I like 85% of what you mention
