I purchased the CZ firearm after a glowing review from the Honest Outlaw. If you closely examine a CZ Shadow 2 pistol it has secret indications that the pistol has been rigorously tested. I thought that the barrel had a wear mark where it interfaced with the slide. I also noticed some pin marks within the underside of the slide. What I thought were defects turned out to be part of their robust QC process. The pistol is put on a mechanism that repeatedly cycles the slide for an extensive period of time to ensure a smooth operation. The pin marks are part of the Rockwell hardening test. Both of these tests are what you would see in a Class 1 Quality classification. Class 1 is any safety related class Item or any item whose failure/malfunction could result in extensive machine downtime. Sorry for the long comment but the Shadow 2 is in a class of its own just like the Honest Outlaw.
Quality Guru CZ dry fires every double single action gun 1000 times in factory 🏭
Quality Guru I’d take the cz all day over other options
good reply!
My dream handguns= cz dwx & Hayes custom ría 10mm double stack...let's get it!
Disclaimer, idk much about the dwx but if it isn't .45 then I'll go with the cz 97 cajunized
Got to go with CZ.

Watching your reviews has lead me to more then one purchase. Love the channel and all the work you put into these reviews. Proud new owner of a CZ Shadow 2 as of today! Best of luck with your future videos keep up the great reviews!
Thanks for a decent comparative review from a very competent shooter! Everything you've said makes sense. I was contemplating a P320 Legion but in the end went with a Shadow 2 Optics Ready, because I like the idea of choosing my own grips for my big mitts. That said seeing this review reaffirms that I would have been very happy with the Sig too!
Keep up the good work Sir.
You can always get them both LOL! It’s always too hard to deicide with so many great choices.
Picking up an X5 Legion tomorrow. Can't wait to compare it to my TSO. 6 CZ's in the collection, this will be the 1st Sig.
I'm the exact opposite, 8 Sigs, first CZ. Not disappointed with any of them
Oh and BTW, I'm always impressed by your shooting skills.
CZ by a mile ! Hammer fired guns triggers are superior period. Lower bore axis , steel frame and just looks cooler too.
So I watched this video and struggled trying to figure out which one of these would be best for me. I couldn’t make up my mind… so I bought both. This weekend is gonna be fun.
Which one did you like better? I'm trying to pick one out for my dad for Father's Day.
@@JacksonWalter735 700 rds through each so far. Price aside, the Sig is more fun and more accessible. The CZ is an absolute laser; I shoot strings I didn’t know I was capable of with it. I’ve had zero failures in either.
If you get him the Sig, don’t ever tell him the CZ was an option.
@@DeltaVTX will do. Thank you so much for the advice. I appreciate it.
Absolutely love my Cz Shadow 2, the X5 is my safe queen. I shoot my 941 Jericho as good as my S2.
The Jericho is criminally underrated and ignored by the aftermarket. It is an excellent cz pattern gun and a sweet shooter. Only drawback is you must love it out of the box cause you ain't changing it.
Love my 941 Jericho. Just wish it had a better trigger. Is the CZ trigger better?
Yes my IMI Jericho 941F is a close 2nd to my new Shadow 2. Love them both!
I have two 941's, great guns!

Someone may have mentioned this in a previous comment but the Accu shadow has the CZC upgraded trigger so it's definitely going to outshoot the stock X5 trigger all day every day. However, the X5 has some pretty amazing and absolutely necessary trigger upgrades that make it WAY nicer. Also, the X5 has a competition-legal gas pedal that really helps with the recoil management. That being said, LOVE your reviews, LOVE your channel, and LOVE both these guns!!!
CZ trigger definitely better, but I have more rounds down range with the X5. It's still a toss up. Need more time with the CZ
What upgrades for the x5 trigger
Another great vs. review! Been a CZ fanboy for years. Agree! But just picked up the X5 and Romeo1 Pro and really love it as well. Keep up the great content. 💯🔫👊🏼
My favorite pistols by far are full size target pistols too.
Just bought the CZ shadow today. Already own the Orange and a CZ compact 9mm. These are some fine shooting pistols. If you love the CZ's check out the CZ compact. It's a great carry pistol.
This is actually one of my biggest pet peeves about gun reviews, it is never an out of the box comparison. 1 is always their preferred, 10k rounds through, 7 or 8 mods, Gucci gun vs a stock pistol.
Give me stock vs stock, then modded vs modded.
That all being said the stock CZ is smoother than the X5. I personally hate the safety and double action and love Sigs flat striker trigger more. Adding the dot and compensater to the sig changes also makes for a much better firing gun, though the X5 was very very good to begin with.
For a 800 dollar gun vs a 1900 dollar gun I think per dollar the X5 wins. If money is of no consequence then the CZ wins. If you install the compensater and with the red dot I prefer the Sig at any price.
My 2 cents.
Agreed on basically all accounts, though when one appreciates the inate qualities of a particular firearm, they tend to invest in it and cherish it moreso than others..so that in and of itself is telling.
x5 legions are 1000 and shadow 2's are 1200-1300...where are you gettin your numbers man
@@dsxz that's what I paid for each when they came out.
He compared his accushadow witch are $1,800 to a stock $1000 x5
I'll hang with my S2. To me, it's just that good.
Definitely not knocking the CZ but I got the X5 and it is the best pistol I've ever had. And my 226 tacops was hard to beat. The x5 was just perfect for me.
Cz for the money all the way!! I prefer da/sa too the striker fired pistols . Personal preference; the cz is a much better looking pistol to me also in my opinion, and the grip just feels better to me on the cz Shadow than the sig.
I have an X5 Legion and I love it. After watching a bunch of Honest Outlaw’s videos, I just had to order a Shadow 2. Cant wait to get my hands on it!
Which one you like better?
I’m a better shoot with the X5 but the CZ is just sooooo sweet. The S2 is by far my more preferred pistol over the X5.
So we saw the big boys, now do a fallow up with the little brothers.
Sig p365 axg legion vs shadow 2 compact!!!
Shot both and I agree, the Sig is a great pistol, but the Shadow 2 is just better.
That said, I would pay for either one, they are both worth the price, and I am cheap.
accu shadow 2 is $2000+
p320 legion is $850
not exactly a fair comparison.
@@killervztwogaming5796, I don't know where you are shopping, but at my snooty gun club it is not $2000.

After a lot of RUclips research, I just received my CZ Shadow 2 Black and Blue and put 200 rounds through it the first time out. Simply awesome! Amazing accuracy and reliability out of the box. Not sure I need to do anything to it, but I probably will, because I can't help it.... I'm primarily a Glock guy (since 1990), but I also own a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical and it is amazing to shoot as well. Both are much more fun and accurate than any of my Glocks. Maybe change is good... BTW, Go Hawks!
CZ’s the best!
I own a sp01 as well but not tactical. Curious of your thoughts, I’m tempted to get the shadow2 as well like you did but it seems somewhat similar in size, although it’s clearly a step up from the sp01. I shot one the other day and it was great. As a guy that only owns 5 handguns, it’s tempting to pay up a little more for the TS2, it’s a little bigger and has the 20rd mag just because I worry the sp01 and shadow would be too similar. Have no plans for comp shooting just fun.
@@paulryndak9916 You know it's funny, but I haven't shot either CZ in quite a while. Been back to shooting my Glock 17 and 30 year old Glock 19. Recoil is a bit snappier and the triggers aren't quite as good as the CZ's, but they're still very enjoyable and reliable to me. Don't know what's wrong with me, the CZs are more accurate. Your'e probably fine with the SP01. The Shadow 2 is really expensive, a little more accurate because of the lighter trigger, but I don't think the slightly improved accuracy justifies the cost. It's still a handgun after all, and your not going to be shooting any bad guys past 5-7 yards with either gun.
I own both guns. And I have to give it to CZ. It’s just better. As far as the optic goes, I Purchased mine from CZ custom and had them cut for an RMR. Then I changed all the springs, the firing pin, lightened the recoil spring from stock 16 lbs to 10 lbs ( all from Cajun gun works and done myself) and put on some lok grips.
The gun from CZ Custom was on sale for $1050 plus the cut to $1300. Springs and pin maybe $100 and the look grips $125?
I have an STI DVC 3 and a Staccato XC. The CZ competes with them is amazing for a fraction of the price. The STIs are just a little bit better for me: better safety, 1911 trigger...but splitting hairs.
My humble opinion.
I have to say that you do the best reviews, the best commentary, the best content, and the very best shooting of any RUclipsr I've seen.
I like the CZ. I just think it looks cooler (+ awesome trigger). Also better for appendix carry.
Wait!! Aren't you known for being biased FOR the CZ? I seem to recall videos you made where you said your gun is always a CZ.
i think we all knew what was gonna happen in this vid before we watched it haha
Very well observed, analyzed, and described. Thanks. I never liked my polymer frame pistols because of their light weight, irritating recoil, and difficulty with accuracy, so I sold them. My new 40-45 ounce steel frame pistols and 43.5 ounce Sig P320 X5 Legion pistol are much more comfortable, enjoyable, and accurate. Also, I carry them comfortably.
What holster are you using to carry the sig? I’ve been looking for one
Hey welcome back! saw this pop up in my reccomendations a few minutes ago and i'm glad to see you got your channel recovered
To each it’s own. I love the shadow 2 and competed with it for 2 years. But the grip angle and frame is a bit too wide and a struggle to shoot. Going with the x5 for carry optics, easier to move around a stage and a lot more versatile.
I had a 2011 that I used in 3-gun. My baby sized hands had trouble with that gun. I am looking for a replacement now. May have to take a look at the legion.
I now have both and prefer heavier handguns because I am recoil sensitive and my hands shake. Both pistols help with recoil and reduce my shaking. My final opinion as THO but not all the particulars are the same. I prefer Green fiber sights. That said, I find the Shadow 2 to be a better shooter for me. My Shadow 2 is stock, BTW. That it is a little heavier and the bore axis is lower makes a difference for me. The recoil flip is also probably a factor. Were I buying today with what I know now, I would buy the Shadow 2 and not buy the Sig. THO's review coincides with my experience on these two fine pistols.
I am 76 and the older I get the more "shakes". Had quite a few CZs but I enjoy Handloading my own ammo and I always find they are "short chambered" and they "choke" on the ammo I feed my other 8 or so other various brands of 9s. Like having a child who won't eat what the others in a large family will eat. Others will answer I could send the CZ barrel off to get this problem fixed. BUT at my age "I don't even buy green a banana!!!
owned both. kept the Sig.
I'm going to stick with my CZ 75B. Maybe I'll trick it out with a pair of VZ Grips. Great videos.
#czlife Indeed, I second your findings! Carry on
I agree. The sigs a great entry level competition gun though. Carry on Big Johnson
E.L. Robbins Carry On Brother!👊🏼
I am and will always be a CZ guy only thing I like more is a nice 1911 guess I am just getting old !
Have and love them both, but the Shadow 2 is the better gun. Smoother, better trigger and lower bore axis - easier to shoot well. Still glad I have both.
Comparing apples and oranges?
The Sig P320 is legal in IDPA, as it touches on the max allowed weight, the Shadow 2 is not as it's a boat anchor.
Thx man. Wanted the Shadow. Just realized the Sig existed. Asked google to compare and there you are.
The Shadow 2 (sans accu) may be my sweet spot budget wise.
Bought a CZ Shadow 2, and I love it, little recoil, good site picture!!! What holster do you use for yours?
At the end he said a couple hundred more for the S2. More like almost a couple yards. Still worth it if you can work it. Great review.
I have both of these guns and love them both for different reasons.
I cannot believe the mark up we have here in Canada it’s unreal. I picked up the Legion just before the buying stoppage kicked in and paid just over 1600 Can. The Shadow was upwards of 2400. Im happy with the Legion but ideally I wanted both in my collection. Things just ain’t right up here. Awesome review btw. Huge fan of your content 😬👍
I saw the shadow 2 for $999 at my shop
Been loving my x5 for 2 years. I have slightly shaky hands and the extra weight in the grip helps me account for that
If I ever decide to move to a higher quality of weapon and a competition shooting style (which is really a passion for some)... then I can appreciate this video for the level of hair-splitting you go through. To the degree at which I use and shoot... My standard P320 XCarry is a great upgrade from the first pistol I ever bought (Sig SP2022 .40). And don't get me wrong... I love my SP2022...!
But I did really enjoy your walk-through... VERY informative...!
XFive owner and I agree, both are nice platforms but the Shadow 2 is definitely the front runner. Price point and ease of getting into it the Legion was very forgiving. Then Shadow 2 though is such a smooth shooter.
Thanks making this video it’s really help me out to which one i need to but i save my lots off time thank you 🙏
It's interesting that he failed to mention the problem with CZ Shadow 2 frame cracking.... google it.
And comparing an Accu Shadow that cost a $1000 more than a X5 Legion is sort of silly. But even in his lopsided comparison, he's shown that the Sig is by far the better value.
Agree. I just got the X5 Legion and it’s a helluva gun. Comparing something that’s double the price doesn’t make sense. That CZ has many mods on it. The legion out of the box has serious value.
Well sig markets this as a competition gun. I’m getting one in dec and sending it to the sig armourer for trigger work and a few other things. Then sticking a Romeo 2 on it whenever it comes out. Will be an open carry winter gun and competition gun
I believe all steel/aluminum framed pistols, including all 1911s and even the beretta m9 have cracking issues, it’s just what it is, if you shoot it long enough the metal will eventually give out.
The reset on that shadow is awesome.
You have became my favorite youtuber, I've been watching you for 2 years now, just enjoy your vids and great shooting more than the rest, question: do you still shoot you P09?
I just discovered your channel and I love it. Great reviews. Where do you get your shooting gloves?
Great video and shooting!!! Got to go with the CZ. Any plans to review the new beretta 92x performance?
The CZ wins in every department over the Sig except durability. The slide stop is still the weak link in the traditional CZs. It's basically a consumable part for high volume shooters, but thankfully they're cheap and easily replaceable.
Shadow 2 is the best pistol for the money.

You are a CZ fanboy & that's OK! I can't justify spending $1,300 on a Shadow 2 yet so I bought a P10F OR (thanks to you & other Tubers reviews). Made more sense buying a P10F because I want a MRD, and I'm used to striker fired triggers (thanks Glock).

@@afrosheenix My favorite local gun shop owner only charges customers a 10% markup from his cost to purchase items. Yes, I could find a CZ Shadow 2 cheaper than what he charges but I'd rather support his/my local shop vs. some out of state shop. I've known him for a long time, he repaired a shotgun for me once at no charge and let me use his shop/tools to complete my AR build (I only purchased the lower from him for 55 bucks). Real life interactions and friendships are more important to me than saving a few bucks even though I'm broke as a joke most of the time. Back to my original point: I'm not a competition shooter, I can't justify spending $1,100+ on a handgun even if it's well worth the price tag. Instead I purchased a "sensible" P10F optics ready pistol (I'm dot curious) and 1,000rnds of ammo to have a blast with.

Wow, really hard choice. I love Sig and that X5 Legion is friggin beautiful. CZ shadow is a great gun.

CZ all the way, not that the Sig isn't Good but the CZ is Better.
@Rabbi Jesus That was the perception when they first were coming into America, because they were foreign made. Actually the CZ 75 was a top of line pistol back in the early 90's. There was a Big resistance to them because where they were made. Even today until recently people have ignored CZ.
well $2000+ vs $850...
so it better be a hell of a lot better
@Rabbi Jesus he is comparing an Accu Shadow 2.
MSRP: $2138
@@killervztwogaming5796 The standard Shadow 2 is superior to the Sig X-5 Legion. Standard model sells for $1199.00
@Rabbi Jesus To be fair there is a difference between the Shadow 2 (production pistol) and the Shadow 2 Accu (CZ Custom pistol) The Accu Shadow 2 is a Shadow 2 with a 1911 style barrel bushing. Retail is $1988 from CZ Custom. Truth being the Accu Shadow 2 is taken down like a 1911 using the barrel bushing rather than just the take down pin of the Shadow 2 which does not use a 1911 style barrel bushing.
I'd really like to get the CZ Shadow 2 Optics Ready (OR) but I have not seen one in the US
I love pistols that can be carried in double action. Safe to carry, without having to engage a safety. I actually carry my PT-111 G2 in a decocked condition. I break it down, insert a round into the chamber, and behind the extractor, then barely let the breakdown tabs lock, when placing the slide back on. If you go too far, it will cock the striker. Because it has double strike capability, my first shot is now double-action. A little trick I figured out, on my own. Nice feature!
Never go off half cocked!
Shadow 2 ALL DAY long and twice on Sundays.
I sold my 320 legion yesterday and used the money to buy the shadow 2. Love the shadow 2.
Love your videos and reviews man but I really would have preferred it if you had compared a CZ Shadow 2 Blue Grip to the X5 Legion instead of an Accushadow which is literally more than double the price of a Shadow 2. It makes me wonder how much of what you like is the Accushadow vs the Shadow 2.
as a cz guy obviously i prefer the CZ, it is in his configuration almost 700 dollars more expensive than the sig I believe?

Excellent video detailing all on both guns..Shadow 2 has no option for a optic at all. real killer for some including myself. Sig X 5 legion is the way to go for me
There is an optic ready version
the cz shadow highlights the strengths of the DA/SA pistols where at the higher shooting levels goes beyond the simpler striker fire pistols.
Not apples to apples review. CZ is custom with mods, Sig is stock.
Not apples to apple such a wonderfully simple expression that everyone gets.
I do have to agree but he does have trigger time on the CZ Shadow 1, 2 and the custom. Which he has said over and over again that all are amazing guns that shoot with small differences but what is said about the custom can also pretty much be said about the Shadow 2.
Price compare should be more like: Sig P320 X5 $800, CZ Accushadow 2 $1900 (as of May 2021)?
I have a Shadow Sp-01 Target II and Sig Legion X5. I love the feel of the Sig grip in the hand compared to my CZ although I think thicker grips on the CZ would make it fit my hand better. Any recommendations for CZ grips?
Lok palm swell bogies. End of story unless you want aluminum, then it's Henning.
Also LOK another option I like is the LOK Ridgeback
LOK Grips are now just as expensive as VZ and in my opinion the VZ grips are the better option. I do own several of both.
Try some armonov aluminum grips , you can choose how much palm swell you want .

Owning both, I'm with you Honest, The Shadow 2 is just a slicker better gun.
I love my x5 legion, it is my go to. i have a Baretta PX 4 storm and a Baby Eagle and my go to choice is my legion. LOVE IT>>>>
I seem to always gravitate to the larger backstrap, with guns that have that option. I have long hands, and fingers, too. I'm gonna look, and see if you've done a review on the Canik TP9 SFx. I love mine!!!!
I'd like to see that too. Bought one couple months ago, and the best word I can use to describe it is "fun".
I got convinced: I’ll definitivelly go for a CZ Shadow II
Goddamn I love my Sig tho. Just got back from shooting the crap out of this morning
@Honest Outlaw Do you like the tungsten frame? I prefer metal guns, but own a p320. Thinking maybe getting the frame will help me like it more.
In reference to the Legion’s grip, couldn’t you both increase the grip size and retention level by installing on of the grip wraps that Sig sells? (Or any other manufacturer’s).
Striker fire+polymer Sig 🤢🤮..... I'll take the CZ shadow 2 all day!
So I just bought the Sig the other day after watching your vids and talking with you on the comparison between your G34. So far I couldn’t be happier. I want to work more and more on getting comfy with how it handles and the reloads and then hopefully get out and do some amateur events to see what I’ve got. I just wanted to say thanks for commenting back to my questions before. Really appreciated it. And I’m still voting on the gundies for you. Hope you win!
I feel like they aren’t comparable… just depends on intention…. After reading a lot of comment the sport shooters are all saying cz and are installing upgrades… but for a duty gun I know a lot of people who side with the x5
I have both. Both are great but I also prefer the CZ.
why
I'd take the CZ Shadow. No question about it. My dad, and one of my buddies have reliability problems, with their Sigs.
Kind of like comparing Corvettes to a Ferrari. The Sig is a better value and has a world record to it's credit, but you get what you pay for with the CZ. The Target Sport Orange has a bolt on frame mount for a Red Dot sight, but it is only useable in higher classes, not Oest IDPA classes that requires on slide mounts. As much as I like my P226 RX Legion, I am looking forward to shooting the Shadow.
Cheers
I would like to mention that the x5 legion is one of the most popular carry optics choices in Uspsa right now....which is why I dont understand why Sig is putting Legions out the door with a loaded chamber indicator barrel hood cut that blows so much crap on your optic that its a nightmare. So me and everyone I know send them back to Sig and Sig will rebarrel the gun. They do it for free...and they are nice about it....but still.I have heard some of the new legions do not have the LCI but look for it and be aware of it before you buy one with the intention of mounting an optic...
So, something I've been wondering. You've put thousands of rounds downrange through probably hundreds (?) Of guns on your property. Have you done anything to mitigate the potential toxic levels of lead leeching into your soil/ ground water?

Can't really afford to be a patreon but I did Just spam like your videos. Thanks to you I was able to make an educated decision the purchase of my optics ready P10C and I love it. I really wanted to go for the f model but since it's for everyday carry the c was more then good enough. I did buy three f size magazines though . It comes in handy on the range and it's my spare mag I use on concealed carry. I rather inherit +3 than inherit minus 1 during the concealed situation if it ever arose.
I've shot both, and own the CZ. It's not even close. I just can't stand the trigger on the 320 X5. The ergos on the CZ are great also and the SIG is a fail by comparison. . It's also a lot easier to improve the CZ as well with SAO trigger and Cajun parts.
Can't wait for the DWX review
Would you say the CZ is more accurate than the Sig without the bushing mod?
