The last time I made rice it was a bit gummy & I tried to blame the rice because it was a less expensive, no-name store brand. Used the same rice tonight to make Albert's recipe, & followed the directions. It was perfect. You're never to old to learn! ☺️

Ooh can't wait to store this wonderful recipe in my playlist. This is probably the greatest side dish of all time that goes with any protein ! I'm going to make some baked chicken wings , serve it with this rice & a salad & a white wine . For the ambiance I'll download some classical spanish guitar instrumental music ! I really like this recipe for the fact is has onions, garlic, carrots and peas with it. This is a good way to upgrade rice - which is most of the time boring if prepared or served without anything else. Like a cooked potato with nothing on its side 🙂

the crocus in my garden are starting to bloom.. unfortunately spring crocus don't have saffron like the fall crocus do.. bummer .. stay safe over there
A couple of extracurricular activities on the front and the back but pretty concise and some good ideas! "Remove from the heat", on a gas stove made me laugh, but I recently found my saffron so it's going to be on the menu tonight... less the shallots. Deal breaker for my partner. One question…I know you are a vegetarian/pescatarian. We are not so often I like to add some chicken breasts to round out the meal. I’m wondering how to season the meat. I use the sea salt and cracked pepper but I am unsure if I should duplicate the seasoning in the dish I’m making or use something else. thank you very much for taking time to consider my question.

I have a question. Does anyone know how long can you leave steamed cooked rice in the fridge before eating it ?
@ Asimina I know that people like to prep food ahead, but starchy foods can grow bacteria which can make you ill. Unfortunately I speak from experience )-:\ That's why it's important to cool down the rice first, then keep in the fridge for only a day or two, or else freeze it.
