Great video. I’m a Bear user and learned a few things.

I was an original user of Bear way back when they were originally in beta in 2016. I used Bear faithfully up until about 2020 when I got tired of waiting for them to release an updated version. At the time, I was scared that the app had become abandonware. I ultimately ended up using Obsidian and have used that for a couple of years. I like Obsidian; it's powerful and FULL of features. BUT it is slow and clunky and is especially challenging to use on iOS and iPad OS. While I am using Apple Notes more and more these days, I still need a good note taking app that uses Markdown, does true backlinks, and can export notes in a variety of formats. So I came back to Bear and I love it. They have added just enough features to make it a bit more powerful, but it still has the original beautiful aesthetic and is lightening fast. I am still testing out this change, but it's possible that Bear will once again be my main writing/long-form note taking app.

You had an interesting experience with it. It is indeed one of the most fluid apps on the market and has all the features you mentioned for now. For me personally once they released the web app it solves my note taking gap on a windows machine. Then it will be flawless

@@benscyberlife Yes, it has consistently been a beautiful app over the years. The devs did a really good job adding in the new features while maintaining the app's aesthetics. My issue 4ish years ago, however, was that bugs were not getting fixed and promised features never seemed to come to fruition. I am really hoping that the developers are able to move a bit faster now. The web app has been discussed since WAY back in the day when Bear first hit the App Store. I don't really hold out much hope for it, but would definitely be amazing if they could make it happen. It would potentially bring over a lot of users.
