Great summary of Note’s potential! I like to organize my notes into four categories: 1. Projects - I file notes related to personal, professional and academic projects that I’m working on under this category. 2. Areas - Within this category I create folders for different topics such as, finances, health care, kids’ school, etc, and file the notes under the respective topic. 3. Resources - For notes related to all kinds of researches, including web articles, academic papers, etc. 4. Archive - Once I finish any project or research and I no longer need the respective notes/folders, I move it to archive for future reference. Disclaimer: I found this method online and can’t remember the source - thanks to the author and apologies for not referencing you!
Since Apple will still not make the Journal app available in iPad and the iPhone mirrorring is only available on macOS, I am not looking into a way to really fully utilize the native Notes app of Apple. I have been an owner of an iPad for 2 years now and I just learned about linking pages/notes through the “Link” option because of your video. Thank you very much for a very informative video! I really appreciate this - I learned new tricks in my ipad.
Appreciate if you could to share a apple note template with link to main note and clicking on the topic takes to topic notes That will be great to share as template that we can import
Hiya. Just found your vids - really helpful, thank you. I have one question: I play guitar and when I write the lyrics to songs, I use the old fashioned method ie using a pen and paper! I then write the name of the chord in a different colour and smaller text just above the particular word I play that chord. How can I achieve this using Apple Notes?
Although I got my first Apple devices (iPhone and iPad) the past couple of years and still consider myself an Android user at heart, I would say that the iPhone Notes app is quite good but Apple generally lacks in supporting the Greek language… all those magic tricks with the Apple pencil, recognising text, etc, don’t work. But for the (few) languages they support… WOW. I once photographed a table with rows and columns and it was 99% perfect. It saved me lots of time. But for handwritten recognition and all the rest of the magic… it is Noteshelf 3 for me. They support Greek.
I take screenshots of youtube videos from left corner and add them to notes through the option on the top left, it takes less than 6 seconds and icanstudy any topic easily.
Really liked your video and learned a lot. I will be taking advantage of all the tips you shared. I like the app but will probably use it a lot more often now. Thanks for making this video.
Hello. Great tips and content. Thank you. I am thinking of switching from an A5 paper notebook to using a device for all my day-to-day personal notes. Currently I am thinking of buying a 2022 10.9inch 256GB iPad for use with Apple Notes. Do you think that this would be a good choice of device? I am not a heavy user; largely browsing, communication and note taking. Is there a choice of pencil with this iPad? I would definitely be getting one of your screen protectors. Thanks in advance for your advice.
Hi there, happy you enjoyed the video 🙃 If your needs revolve around browsing, entertainment and notetaking, the 2022 10.9inch 256GB iPad is definitely a good choice for you. As for the Pencil, there are a few 3rd party ones you can try (I haven't really tried any of them long term), but the Apple Pencil is the one true safe choice 💡
Bro, Please do answer below questions of apple notes in a ipad. 1. How to resize/zoom handwritten notes in apple notes in ipad ? . When i select the handwritten notes using lasso tool, there is no option to resize. 2. How to zoom typed notes in apple notes in ipad ? . CMD + SHIFT + . is the one in mac, but this dosent work in a ipad. Please share the info.
Hi there, unfortunately, both are not possible in Notes on your iPad. However, you can zoom into anything on the iPad. For that you need to activate the Zoom feature in your settings. Go to: Settings > Accessibility > Zoom on your iPad. When this is switched on, double-tap the screen with three fingers to turn on Zoom, and play around with the window to zoom the part of your Notes you need :)
@@Paperlike Bro, i tried it :). It is zooming with tap of 3 fingers but not much like we have in goodnotes apps . I wish apple provide resize and zoom for these apple notes apps in future soon .
I know it's not the same. But this workaround is the only way to almost get there. At least until Apple releases an update allowing for it in the future 🙃
Thank you iso18 offers notes to record. But I’m told by apple that it is not availability for the new iPad Pro 2024. Have do you have any input. Thank uou
That's one of Apple Notes' limitation. While it's possible to save your notes on third party storage services, auto sync is not an option. You'd have to export your notes as PDFs and send them one at the time to OneDrive.
Hi! Unfortunately, we are no longer able to ship to India, but you can purchase our products via Amazon instead: www.amazon.in/PaperLike-Pieces-iPad-2020-10-9/dp/B0BJKQ4T6B/ 🙂
Since iPad OS 16 the iPad heats up when using apple notes or freeform with apple pencil. I have noticed it on my iPad 8th gen , 9th gen with apple pencil (1) and iPad Air (M2) and apple pencil pro. The screen on the right side of my iPad air gets heated and the battery drops a lot and it even lags to the point where the words appear after i finish writing the word with pencil. I hope apple fixes this soon.
Oh maybe you don't have youtube installed yet. Please make sure to get it on your Apple Store. I know you can access it on Safari, BUT the RUclips's app is definitely more intuitive to use 🤗
Okay, but can we talk about how nostalgic text replacements are? 🤣 I feel like I’m back in my early Twitter days! Who else misses those abbreviated texts?
@LiliBcreation It's funny you mention this because yesterday I came across the same problem, but I discovered that it is possible. Sharing the note gives you two options, collaborate or send a copy. Choosing to send a copy if it is just a note it will be sent as text, if it is a document scanning it will be sent a pdf file
@@netocabral thanks for your help but you must have an app on your iPad that allows you to do so. When I try , it opens Documents and asks me to pay to use the app. :( and when I copy it doesn’t t copy the image 😭😭
Hello Hello, the first line of your Note is the actual title of the Note, so if you change that line into something else, your Note title will be changed as well 🤗
Unfortunately, zoom is not possible in-app... But there's a workaround! You can actually zoom into anything on the iPad. For that you need to activate the Zoom feature in your settings. BAD ADVICE. You use APPLE NOTES, you are "S T U C K" with it. Try to export multiple notes from APPLE NOTES, try to work with the documents, like merging documents, or anything like that. Not possible to access the files, like md-files. You can ONLY do, what APPLE allows you to do. It is "ROTTON". Good for simple notes. Very bad to use as a longterm vault. I stay with OBSIDIAN. Just because it's "open" to anything, I want to do with my information later.
wow, a concise video with less than 10min, filled with useful information. It's a rarity these days! thanks for the tips
Glad it was helpful 🤗

When Apple notes let’s me use the pen to highlight/handwrite over the top of typed notes I’ll be much happier! Until then it’s GoodNotes for me!
iPadOs 18 will bring that, i cant wait for it. so for now… GoodNotes it is.

I'd need to screen record when I'm annotating a web site. Is that possible with iPad and Apple Pen?
