She even picks one up early in the Sonic Boom cartoon. Sally’s red hair fits for Ariel, oddly. Not as proactive as others, but definitely not someone to overlook. Bunnie being the more proactive Rapunzel works. Tikal’s not exactly a tech gal, so that makes sense, not to mention her relation to Chao and Chaos. Blaze and Elsa have elemental abilities. Rouge makes the least sense, but being a secret agent means she needs to be skilled at something; for example, being a thief/stealth expert? Wave mid logical too, but only if you understand Sonic Riders lore.
The truth is I don't know how I really love Espio, but today I loved how Charmy and Espio disguised Vector, and as their song says "muscle is vector, the karma collector"
