Exe is scarier. There is multiple games where he kills characters and turn them into exes. Simular ti what Zombots do, but one exe could definitly defeat one zombot, and they both spread like viruses.
Also the sonic cd us boss theme is perfect for the zombots because it just sounds so cold creppy and robotic like no melody is in that song its all just robots and eggman laughing at sonic and alot of pretty much just unidentifiable factory sound effects i think like the only organic instruments is the chime samples and even thats so disorted it barley even sounds orgainc
