Myal…. Branch usually associated with with Revivalism… heaven bound entities. Pocomania and Kumina and revivalism have similar beginnings/branches. My father Kapo was an artist and a leader in the Revival religion. The ‘thread’ is the Maroon culture.

For a celebration they would sing songs like

I was asking to Kikongo speakers but there is a concensus to define, even un another video about kumina a group is playing and several times the chorus say Mapalé, what does mean Mapalé in Kumina? Because in my country is a african descendants dance.
