When I first heard Toast was making a team I thought he was crazy and he completely exceeded my expectations with all that he has done and now DSG is my favorite Esports team of all time. I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Well played to all of DSG. Having that many players making it out and this is their first Tekken game is crazy good. Phi really did a great job on coaching them. Here is to hoping that you keep trying guys, Fighting games are tough and brutal. But you guys showed that you have what it takes to compete. Keep going!
It was cool getting to see you guys play at EVO! Scarra's Victor can be beastly at times, I was cheering him and Lily on a bunch in day 1. (I placed higher than Lily, if y'all want a Zafina main on the team.) 🤭
There are esports teams in fgc, they just don't compete against each other through matches with some exceptions. There are crew/team battles where 2 teams face off to eliminate the other in 1v1s; and there are special brackets where players try to win as many games for their regions for points. These 2 are usually done in exhibition events and special/high tournaments. Competition between is mostly about which which esports team has the most high placements or wins amongst its players and supporting them. But 2xko and Diesel Legacy are games that'll support 2v2, but I doubt the latter will ever be in Evo beyond a side event. If 2xko makes it to Evo, it'll be interesting to see how many will choose duos, since even people signed under the same org would likely decline teaming together if they wanted to try it.
