Is it that bad? I'm genuinely asking as it's coming from someone who had to "talk down to himself" and use self-deprecating humor as a way to stop getting bullied when I was in school.

I kinda can hear/see it myself tho. It's just like if there was this second me who can see that problem and is aware it is there, but cannot help it. Also my ex and my friends used to get really irritated with my shit so yeah. Some got very cold towards me because I just have been too irritating. Putting everyone's mood down, ya know? I still do put myself down, but to some degree less. So I'm happy that I'm making a progress. I recommend seeing a specialist that You could talk with abt this problem. It can lead to a lot of different problems or be a part of a bigger one, like depression, anxiety, etc. I'm no psychologist but that's how it looks in my case. My low self-esteem and putting myself down unconsciously is a part why I'm depressed. My depression is built of a lot of insecurities and self-doubt. It might be different in Your case. As I said: a specialist is the best option. Take care my friend. Always be yourself and remember: You're valid.
Hope I'm not wallowing in my own pity, but I feel I'm the same way. I talk myself down a LOOOOOT and also get really hung up on really small things, especially if I didn't do them right. Video games, decisions, but only when it's me. I have to often mute my mic in the vc because I flame myself so incredibly hard that my friends have been telling me to stop, but I never do.
Edit: It's just being permanently tilted, but in a disappointed manner, not in an angry manner.

Lol don’t know about you but I think it’s more of a confidence issue from both. One knows he’s not the most attractive person so that’s why he’s unconfident. They’re both opposites to each other and after listening to both I think I’m in the middle of both their perspectives, like being too positive and being too understanding is bad and so is being rude to people who are rude to you. I like how honest toast is about craving validation. Because a lot of people (or like creators) like to hide that want for attention. So it’s refreshingly blunt
It’s crazy because I found him from his among us vids. And knowing that he’s getting exactly what he wanted in terms of attention for what he does is satisfying. I just hope Sykkuno finally understands what he wants and gets that.

I feel like needing validation from others is different from wanting attention tho. He wants to be approved by others to maybe approve of himself. But attention is really something everyone needs and likes to have. Getting attentions means that people care about you, which is why a lot of people who lack getting attention would go to lengths to get it. But yeah, I also appreciate toast’s honesty about himself instead of trying to seem perfect.

They're like the yin yang of each other. It feels like watching two different absolute views on the same topic.
I Respect Toast even more now. He’s honest with his friends and he’s honest about himself. He knows he likes attention and he admits it; to some that can come out as selfish but he really isn’t. I’d say Toast is just hungry for success. I also respect the way he sees things about people allowing themselves be used as doormats. It’s frustrating to see that specially when it’s a friend or family.
As for Sykunno he’s very humble but his lack of confidence makes him an easy push over target. He needs someone like Toast to help him build his confidence and find his inner “manly” self. I enjoy both streamers and will continue to watch them grow.

Sykkunno used to be super confident back in his old RUclips days.
I think he said it on a stream but while he was taking a break from RUclips, he tried talking to girls and socializing but the girls that he talked to kind of broke his confidence and him down by making fun of him and trolling him.
An example is when Sykkunno gave a girl his number and she put wrote it on a bathroom stall and he got a ton of threats from different dudes.

Yh i like seeing it with youtubers especially cuz alot of the time they act different for videos. Like for example, i saw this vid with tommyinnit talking abt compilation channels and it was eye opening as he is usually super loud in videos but they just had a chill srs conversation.

I understand where sykkuno is coming from. From my experience growing up, guys would bluntly tell me im ugly. Then friends of those guys would yell Wow you're so pretty?!?! N everyone would laugh cause they knew it was a joke. I remember a random guy came up to me and started talking to me and i had my wall up (cause obvi i thought everyone had bad intentions to use me as a joke) and tried my best to avoid him but not try to be mean about it either. Well eventually i started opening up, he would publically do kind things for me at school and kept asking me out, and i thought he was different. After almost 6 months of being together he walked up to me with some other juniors and he was crying (i was a freshman, he was a junior) and his friends looked at me n told him to tell me or they were going to. Then they told me they dared him to ask me out cause when i had walked by them he called me a ugly ass dike so they thought itd be funny to dare him but that he felt too bad to break up with me. N he started begging me to forgive him and to still be his friend and that i really am sweet n how i changed how he sees things etc and i just remember smiling trying not to cry telling them that it was a good joke and that i should've known cause not a lotta people like me-so yea its funny.... n i walked away. Ever since then ive changed a lot physically and people pressure compliments onto me and think im conceited or a bitch when i tell them it makes me uncomfortable. "you think im not good enough to compliment you??" "You know you're pretty, why do you keep acting like you're not" etc. Even when people openly flirt with me and others laugh cause they're being over the top my anxiety spikes cause i immediately think theres hidden intentions. A lotta people get annoyed with me after awhile cause they think im being fake nice or fake awkward and it pisses people off i have a hard time accepting compliments and not letting my walls down fast

Rosaline Holt it’s clear to see that they literally (everybody in OfflineTV) describe Toast as somebody with a hard exterior, but who cares. In the Egg video (I think) they said that he does a LOT of stressing behind the scenes and he tries to make sure everybody’s having fun.
BoneThugsRTheBest no. At least not to our knowledge. Pokimane keeps her relationships private. Toast moved out to live with his girlfriend but things didn’t work out and he moved back in OTV after quarantining.
So, basically, Toast already knows he's smart and funny etc and that makes him feel good, but he wants people to see him for who he really is and make more meaningful comments, like, "I noticed you've been working on so and so project and it came out great. You've really improved and I can tell you've been working hard." Comments like these tend to be more impactful than "You're funny" or "You're smart." I'm sure this is what he's seeking when he says he loves and wants attention. The everyday, usual comments are nice but they tend to lose meaning.

Nah, what he said is something that is probably some of the most common emotions amongst us humans, he is just a little more in it. It stems from anything to neglect to jealousy, validation is what we people live off of and when we are not validated we dont feel wanted.
I agree ! Not because there’s anything objectively wrong about validation, but once you are not feeling you’re getting what you need, you can either reframe or use that drive for better.

I've been saying it for a while, Toast is the best person in OfflineTV. He's hard on himself but everything he does is taking care of the people around him, like being there for Poki during the Fed thing, and trying to get Sykkuno to be more confident.
I can honestly feel Toast's frustration when sykkuno kept trying to dodge the questions. It feels like sykkuno is afraid to let his guard down and show the real him which is understandable to a point. His confidence definitely needs work but toast definitely needs some too. It's great to listen to a bro talk about real stuff and not about games all the time.
One of the things that i love most in this world is brotalk. The dynamic between 2 bro is magnificent cause men generally don't talk about this and its so sweet when they open up, encouraging each other. As a bro myself having deep thoughts with my bro is one of the most calming time i have ever experienced. it feels like you can share the weight of your problem

I just want to add onto this that this is something that people should do. My friend and his girlfriend ended their relationship. They were a nice looking couple who seemed perfect for eachother ... but they split up because they never talked about their problems and tried to talk about it with each other. They kept everything bottled up until that very moment when they were splitting up but it was too late. Its better to confront the problem than have it fester and blow up later on.

I actually agree with Sykkuno more on this. Sure you can tell someone off for being a jerk but is adding to the negativity really going to do anything? Isn’t it better to try to help with with whatever why’re going through/get them to see that taking their anger out on streamers hurts them as well instead of piling onto their pain and making it worse? People do stuff like that because they are hurt themselves. It’s not your job to be their therapist but it would be better if you tried to lessen their burden instead of add to it. It would overall make the world a better place instead satisfying a petty frustration that will last seconds.

I understand what you mean but at the end of the day, thats not his problem. Like if you aren't a therapist or whatnot why burden yourself with someone else's problems? especially someone who wronged you in some way. Just point them in the right direction if they need help because its not your job. This is something I had to learn from personal experiences.

When I’m being an arrogant asshole, I tend to respond to reason only when it’s being spat in my face with such speed and aggression that I can’t bullshit up an argument to defend myself.
People who are highly empathetic aren’t assholes because they feel intense guilt and will avoid that feeling at all costs. We’re talking about people who are more inclined to be logical, yet very egotistical. They respond to logic only when their ego is utterly destroyed. At least, that’s my past experiences. Even if I’m having a bad day, there is no reason to make someone else have a bad day. That’s just immoral and illogical.
Deal with people like me by being the smarter version of my assholery. It’s the only way. I’d convince myself you’re wrong about my bad day influencing my behaviour - because I’m so egotistical and believe I have total control over my emotions - so there’s no point in wasting both of our time, just roast the hell out of me.
That’s my perspective. I think most trolls are very similar to me lol.
I believe they both have good points. Certain people definitely need to be called out, but they also need to know that they can better themselves. You have to communicate and let people know they’re wrong as well as trying to emphasize with them. Someone else is not your responsibility though (unless you’re a guardian)
Yeah your definitely right how we should react to petty jerkiness or negativity. Maybe in the grander scheme of things people gotta have a balance of both sykk and toasts "mindsets", and be able to choose the way to act depending situation. If you're constantly helping other people that are "hurt" and are always absorbing the hurt of other people it could come to the point where you cant take it anymore, their burdens becoming yours and thats where that mindset becomes hurtful. once that person at their tipping point of hurt, they either have to take that hurt out on someone else or even themselves , and yeah it just creates a cycle. I guess i relate more to sykkuno though, im terrified of confrontation and confronting other people. sometimes i think its because im dishonest with myself, because i dont fully trust anyone with my thoughts and opinions and agree on even things i have different views of. Not only that, im a doormat and a "sheep" and i wanna change that, and i think listening to their conversation, was like i was living vicariously through sykkuno talking to toast, i guess it just felt therapeutic. Not saying sykkuno are all those things, but in the way he talks and stuff like that i relate. sorry for the vent , take care ;p
