It's such a massive shipyard! Building 2 of 3 KDX-2 Batch II aegis destroyer, 1 of 6, and FFX-Batch III frigate for the ROKN, while for export 2 Miguel Malvar-class frigate, 6 unammed 2,400 tons offshore patrol vessel for the Philippine Navy, and soon will assist Peru to built one New 3,400-ton frigate at SEMA shipyard, along with one 2,200-ton OPV, and one Logistics Support Vessel (LSV), along witg follow-on orders!
Plus philippine navy also plan follow up order of 2 more malvar class and 2 more rizal class from 2028 to 2032. Plus 2 to 4 air warfare frigate 2032 to 2036.
I've been also expecting you to present us a glimpse of the Miguel Malvar ang the OPV peojects, but unfortunately it was restricted. HHI's granting you access to their huge facility to report on their own country's destroyer and frigate is already such a priviledge. Thank you for your great effort to present us this valuable information.
Their ship yards are much more modern, they have a lot more qualified workers and they continuously modernize those shipyards. The US has been systematically neglecting their ship yards.
Very impressive ships, looks like the Jeongjo the Great destroyer class is superior to the US Arleigh Burke's, it even has 96 missle tubes like Chinese ships. Maybe the US should be buying Korean ships, I bet there delivered on time, on budget and work correctly.
@@Toxic-pt1qn brp miguel malvar is already sailing home its gonna take around 2 weeks so 1st week of january its gonna arrive in manila. It will continue the sea trial in philippines until commission
This is the part where I think US industrial policy is misfiring. The DoD should leverage Korean and Japanese construction capacity for merchant marine and surface combatants instead of trying to replicate it domestically without the benefit of commercial shipbuilding economies of scale. The Jones act also needs an update to include vessels from strategically aligned nations.
Clients: Wow European/American warships are so modern, sleek. I want to buy that, when I can get it? European/American: uhh, may be 10 year at least or more 😅
Seeing this, I do not ask myself anymore why our totally incompetent German politicians and their staff constantly fail to strengthen and improve our navy. Wish we could afford such powerful vessels to protect our borders/country and fulfil our NATO duties 😢 - yeah, I know, it‘s mimimi, but around here no-one really seems to get that our economy is in serious trouble and the welfare state programs have secretly ruined our formerly wealthy country within the last two decades 🤬. And now a certain Eastern state is testing our defense capabilities, revealing that we‘d be doomed…
This shipyard is currently working on the submarines for the navy. I am surprised this guy was allowed to get so close to one of those class submarines.
This is one of the very best channels on the internet... full stop.
Thank you so much!

@@NavalNewsLooking forward to that.
Amazing that Korea can build a better and cheaper destroyer than the original designers of the US of A!

Nice to see this arsenal of democracy.

This is how you do it.
14:16 pretty sure its HDS-400 for Korea Defense Intelligence Command for infiltration mission purpose.
I feel like US ship builders can learn a lot from Korea ship builders. Especially since the debauchery that takes place at design and build phase.

It is classified top secret because of Chines Navy and her best friend NK.
The US will have to have them make some war ships.
