Sherpa, I have to thank you and K’eyush for helping greatly diminish my little one’s fear of dogs. Through your videos, I was able to show her that a big, loud dog doesn’t always equal a mean dog. My boys legs are going too and a week ago he couldn't walk....I thought it was the beginning of the end. But with a bit of love and care he's walking again although much slower and can't walk as far, so it looks like he needs hydro too. Anyway guys, enjoy your evening. Hugs and belly rubs! 🐾🐾❤️

Hi you guys. I just wanted to mention, when one of my GSDs got old, in the end, he couldn't support his hind end anymore, but he was fit otherwise, I got him a doggie "wheelchair " from one of the bigger companies who make quality chairs here in the USA. He was able to get around with it pretty well, even on rougher terrain. Maybe that would be something that works in Sherpa's future...

It must be so very frustrating on 2 counts, 1) sherpa being weak that he fell off the seat and 2) waiting to get Sherpa into a routine of Hydro therapy. I loved Sherpa's reaction to the chicken balls, the "I want it now and I'll water the garden later please!" and your dinner looked like you are such a grand chef! The shot of the hawk made my day! ❤ So beautiful how it just flew into the air and glided effervescently to another location. Thank you for posting! 😍🥲

Maybe you need to get him a "Help em up" harness. Our vet recommended one for our 15 year old collie malamute cross, as she is very weak in the back, but otherwise has a completely clean bill of health.
It you use your telescope you have to take some pictures of the Stars 😅 please❤
Try acupuncture with Chinese herbs from a vet trained in it. My dog had hip back problems couldnt walk up any stairs the vet told us to put her down and we found accupunture vet she lived to 17yrs 6 more years from when they told us to put her down we were amazed at the turn around she did it really works. Time to contact those, who rebuilt, the Six Million Dollar man(US tv show), for Sherpies back legs. His eye is looking better. Hope it stays that way. Rain where you are, that seems new. lol!! Sherpas look, as if, come on Dad, stop talking. If you left Sherpa, in his garden, I think, he would still be in the same spot, when you got back. Not sure if you saw my last post about using cotton balls, wipe a little vaseline on the cotton ball, to start the fire, instead of buying the wood kindling bundles. How cute, Sherpa playing hide and seek, as if, Dad, will not see me and tell me to come inside. Have a good day.

Do all of you who have older dogs with weak rear ends get yourself a massage or made by Wahl it has several attachments you can use those on the dog's legs up and down back legs inside and out I did this on one of my dogs who had severe neurological damage and a spinal issue and it really improved a lot I think it will help your older dogs

Jamie I was wondering if you should ask the veterinarian about Sherpa kicking his feet so much at night. Maybe he is wearing himself out doing that. I'm not sure what the vet could do. I hope Sherpa is okay after he needed help up because of his back legs. I pray he gets into hydrotherapy really really soon.
You may want to check with your vet about whether beet root supplements might help with Sherpa’s leg strength and stamina. I know it made a big difference in improving my stamina and cured an irregular heartbeat. I gave it to my last dog during his last year and it did help slightly with his walking abilities.
It was so cute, when Sherpa checked out the small dog bed -- "I can't fit in THIS!" then turned away. Next time he will have an answer.
I bet Sherpa has thought when he has looked at you Jamie why did you have a two legged human 😂. Also they have doggy wheel chairs in America if your son ever needs one❤

Hi, through experience, sometimes when a dog's back legs get weak it can be kidney damage. Maybe you need to take to vet to check it out. Cheers
I saw this on the internet, Dog Hip Dysplasia Brace with Handle, there are several models, maybe you can find one that helps with Sherpa legs, as if it were some kind of exoskeleton.

There is a product you must try for Sherpa's legs. I have a 15+ year old Giant dog whose back legs are really weak.
We started on a product called Myos for canine muscle strength...within a week, I had a new dog who behaves 3+ years younger . I have recommended it to friends and they all report similar results. MYOS.
Well we all know Sherpa is staying young at heart with his own home and garden, his favourite humans, and even Sister Sarah. Oh well two out of 3 ain't bad oo' bean. 😂😉 Good job on all that Jamie and I hope the aquacise sees him to ge[ting stronger again in his back end. Well and truly loved the pup. 🐕

If we had as much snow in central Minnesota USA, as you have rain there-- seems to be every time I watch one of your videos-- then we would have a regular winter for our state. We have no snow on the ground! But we've had rain which is rare here in winter. Seems like things are all turned around climate-wise. 😊

I think the hydro is a good idea to keep his back legs strong, especially as they're so important to the way he manoeuvres himself. You may need to give him a little boot up the backside though considering how much he loves sleeping in the back yard. 👍🏻

Lovely video. I do worry that you’re leaving the key on the floor near the door and showing that on camera is a security risk. Anyone who can identify your house would know the contents of your lovely home. Maybe that’s a bit paranoid of me, but thought I’d just mention it.
Also Vitamin B or B12 goes improve all nerve endings in humans and dogs so one day wouldn't hurt either

Sherpa’s eye looks so much better. I love that you can go to the moors! We don’t have that where I live but there is a huge off leash park about 15 miles away. Our cattle dog is only 9 months old & still training as a service dog to my daughter so, no off leash just yet. Soon though, I think.
