I got one back in March 2021 due to strict workplace regs on blade length. I have been using it almost exclusively because it's usually the knife I end up having in my pocket even after I get home. I have been blown away by how long it stayed sharp after I began carrying it every day. I didn't have to sharpen it for 2 months! I've touched it up a couple times since just cause I was bored. Aside from the voodoo Spyderco was able to perform on 8cr13mov to make it have standout edge retention, the thing that I love the most is how my XXL hands can comfortably fit all 4 fingers on the handle. It was $35 when I bought it, but it's worth every penny. For most people who are using a knife for EDC purposes like package opening or small cutting tasks, this knife is very handy and easy to forget about in the pocket.
I'm very impressed with it. Because of how much this has impressed me, I just ordered the Para 3.
By the way, I have no problems closing this knife with one hand. It's definitely one hand opening and closing capable.

@@danc2651 it's strong but it makes the knife ride in your pocket a bit high. I mean that to say the clip makes the knife stick up out of your pocket higher than I would like. I think I may have lost mine as a consequence. Haven't been able to find it in weeks... :(

You can close it one handed even when its tight. Hard to describe but you push on the lock with your thumb and push down on the spine of the blade with your index finger. I've been doing it for years. Nice video, thanks 👍

Considering this is the same price as the Kershaw Shuffle 2 I just got, this is a superior knife IMO

Best knife ever, super sharp out of the box, great clip just wish it was deep carry, easy to open and close one handed and can spidey flick, great finger choil, great lockup, no blade play, just with I would of bought the frn lightweight version because the stainless steel one if heavy

I love my shuffle 1, but i just gave it away to my father who needed a knife for work. Do i get another or one of these? I enjoyed the multitool function of the shuffle, but a spyderco for this cheap? any advice?

The crow 2 and raven 2 are also amazing knives, in bd1 steel as well... I have the byrd crow 2, Robin 2, raven 2 and the meadowlark 2... only one I don't like is the meadowlark, feels like a gas station knife

I sort of disagree there, but I suppose it's mostly a matter of taste..
I have the Spyderco Native II, which has a similar finger choil and I'm mostly basing my opinion on it. And the Gerber E-Z Out.

My dragonfly doesn't drop free either. I squeeze the lock with my thumb and 3 fingers and flick the blade down with my forefinger. Easy one handed operation.

The equally high quality FRN version is about 10g lighter, at around the same price.

I like the size, but not that sort of lock and it looks like they wasted a lot of edge by making that finger choil. Personally, I'd go for the Spyderco Ambitious instead. Which happens to be the only one size in the Tenacious series that I still lack. ;)

Belt clip...? Pretty sure most people consider it a pocket clip.

The box is actually not ridiculously large and who cares man.
