Hello Daniel, is it possible to extend the normal/original G3 with a additional extension to have more loops? And control the extension via the normal G3? That would open more possibilities and you could bring 12 stomp boxes and additional 6 stereo effects.
Extension kit was the thing I was looking for for years. I havent bought a g2 because I kept on looking for midi controlled pedal switchers to use with it to put it in my rack. Now it has everything! Perfect unit
Hi there. The EXT kit is bought to use with G3. It separates the audio from the floor controller. The audio stays in the rack and the floor controller on the floor. Cheers mate 🤓🙏
Can I connect two G3s together and have one controlling the other, while all the pedals are link to the extension kit? I’m wondering if you can control 24 pedals that are in a rack by doing that? Could you please do a video an explain how to do it?
How many Extension kits can you connect? Each extension kit is only 12 loops so to add more loops you have to buy more extension kits but how many can you link up?
@@TheGigRigDaniel chiming in here - it would be really helpful to extend one G3 with an Extension to double the possible loops! Stereo is a welcome and long sought after addition, but it brings it down to only 6 loops. With G3 + extension loops it would be possible to have up o 12 stereo loops, ie. 6 before and 6 after the preamp(s). I know that this basically could be hacked together using two G3s and programming presets according, but with such a new modular platform it should be easy to get one G3 to control two units. Or a separate controller meant for 12 loops.
I see the floor controller has no jacks for volume/expression pedals?? That doesn´t make sense! Or is it just a demo unit and the "real" one comes with them?
Hi. The EXT kit and HUB use the separated backboard from the floor controller. If you want to add more parallel loops you can add an Atom or another G3. Hope that helps 🤓🙏
This is absolutely crazy. You have to take apart the guts of the device to get it to work? You can't just purchase the extension kit and connect it via 7 pin din cable and have the G3 controller the loop switcher. You can purchase for instance, a boss loop switcher and can control it from any midi controller without taking the thing apart.
Think you’ve got the wrong end of the stick here beekers. You can of course control G3 from any external MIDI device. The EXT kit is totally different. It takes the audio out of G3 and puts it in a rack unit. There’s no extra MIDI to program, you still have the G3 floor unit at your feet but with the audio section and your pedals in a rack. You can buy it Pre assembled from us or you can buy the EXT kit separately and do it yourself.
When using the G3 Extension Kit is it possible to have some pedals in the G3 Controller's loops and some pedals in the G3 Extension Kit's loops? In other words, I want some pedals to be in front of the amp and controlled with the G3 Controller, and some pedals in the amp's effects loop controlled with the G3 Extension Kit. That way I don't need long audio runs from my amp's effect loop out to the G3 Controller and back to my amp's effects loop in. Or,... is it an all or nothing deal? In other words, all pedals must be in the G3 Controller or all pedals must be in the G3 Extension Kit? Thanks! Congratulations on your product roll out! That must be huge load off your mind!
I think it's all or nothing as you said. As the Extensions Loop are numbered the same, I think the floor controller connected with the 7 pin DIN cable is sending the same change message it would do by itself, same twelve loops, just audio taken from a different source, so to speak.
Was just looking on your website and I didn’t see it. You make a variation of the G3/G3 Atom that only has a MIDI jack and maybe a couple exp ins? Like the Voodoo Ground Control or RJM Mastermind?
Would be the Extension kit compatible with the G2? I'm waiting for the extension kit for G2 a few years now after they discontinued the old extension kit
@@TheGigRigDaniel Hi Daniel, is it planned to re-launch the extension kit for the G2? I think many G2 owners are out there who would spend the money for this
Hello (Again), do you know when the G3 extension kit will be available (Actually marked as coming soon on TheGigRig website) ? Also, will the G3 MIDI controller be part of the same package, or do we need to buy it separately (I ask you that because I don't find the G3 MIDI controller on the website) ? Thank you, Cheers !
Hi Daniel, when it comes to the hub, am I able to use my preexisting midi controllers (currently have controllers from RJM) with it? Or is this only compatible with the new G3 floor controller?
Hello Dan, it’s probably been asked a million times already but can the extension kit be controlled by any midi device like the morning star midi controller ....? If so it would mean one could have a very small board set up and leave pedals back in a rack !
Hi Billy, no, the ext kit is the G3 split in half with all the audio in the rack and the programming in the floor controller. The connector is a 7 pin din but it’s not midi
Daniel TheGigRig Defo going to have to just bite the bullet and do some bobs saving and just buy one ! Not that there will be any gigs any time soon but hey it would finish off a fine home use pedal board 😜 In the mean time il have to struggle on with my quartermaster/gigrig power supply/ sis cables and various pedals/amps oh first world problems eh !
Hello, I have a challenging question for you 😉 Is it possible to connect the G3 Extension Kit to an Amp input , but also to the FX loop of the same amp, in such way that we can decide what pedals go before and after the pre-amp section of the Amp ? I am ready to invest some money on your good stuff but I need some feedback first ^^ Thanks a lot ! 😊
What is that drawer case that you’ve got everything in? I want something like that
Hi Daniel, will it be able to use the G3 Atom to controll rhe extension rack?
The first batch we’re going to do are the full size G3, then we’ll do some Atoms 👍

The system seems very cool, I like EXT Kit + Floor Controller !
But where I can find the floor controller?
I only find the full G3

@Daniel TheGigRig can the G3 have more loops with an extension? How it could be done?

I'm wondering the same thing
How useful would this be for switching different rack preamps? Asking for a friend
Totally useful. G3 had a huge amount of headroom 16.5v peak to peak so will handle your rack pre’s no problem 🤓👍

Hi Wayne, only one at the moment, the ext kit basically extends the audio out of G3, but you could add more loops back at the rack/board
@@TheGigRigDaniel how many LOOPS can you add? because 12 loops is not enough

hello! is it possible to connect the Hub to the G3 and set up the Hub’s loops in parallel, via the G3?
or do i need a separate mixer for that?

Show us how did you mount the pedals. That would be cool.
When will the Hub be finally available?
Like everyone else, we’ve been hit by component shortages. The EXT kit will be shipping in Jan and hopefully be able to get the hub out after that 👍

Are you guys making a G3 floorboard that doesn’t have analog IO? So it’s just a controller for the hub?
That’s exactly what the floor controller is 🤓👍
