Grew up Buddhist, became Atheist, got sucked into new age movement and believed I was my own god. I used to make fun of Christians and thought Christians were just a bunch of crazy cultist but as someone who proclaimed to live by every "religion," I felt like a hypocrite for not giving the Bible a shot. But after diving deep into the Bible and something changed within me and I tried to fight it off. I told myself "No way, I will never be Christian, Jesus was just a great teacher like the Buddha." But I was so wrong and long story short, a lot has happened ever since picking up that Bible 2 years ago and I can say that I have changed as a person and I finally understand everything about my life and just life in general. I have never found so much inner peace connecting back to God and I can proudly say that Jesus saved my life and that I love him with the new heart he has given me! Edit: WOW! I love you all, thank you for all the kind words and support. That is why God brought me back to his family! Just to clarify to those people who think this is fake or I am just hopping on the "band wagon," I am 34 years old and I have been on this path since I was 18 years old. I finally gave my life to Jesus when I turned 33! So it was a process to get to where I am! God is great and the Lord is my shepherd!
We are so happy to have you in the family of God. Thank you for sharing your journey. Can you pinpoint a particular passage that spearheaded your conversion? What caused you to forsake all your former teachings and go all in on Jesus Christ? I'm desperately curious, but I hope you don't mind my asking: I, too, went through atheism to come to Christ, so I'm always intrigued to meet a fellow traveler.
Whoever asserts that the Judeo-Christian God is an uncreated being omnipotent and omniscient within the universe he created doesn't understand logic. [EDIT: Many replies to this comment have misunderstood me: the Judeo-Christian God is "omnipotent and omniscient within the universe he created" but not *confined* within that universe. I used those words because, for all we know, there may be many Gods, each creating and maintaining their own universes.]
whoever asserts that the universe is a created entity, and thus we should ask who created the universe, doesn't understand the universe. whoever asserts that the Hindu creator God is a created being, and thus we should ask who created Brahma, doesn't understand Hinduism. whoever asserts that (insert any religion of your choice), and thus we should ask who created (insert god of your choice), doesn't understand that religion. when you're not specializing in molecular biology, do you create mad libs???
The word itself "God" implies that there shouldn't be a higher being. One can't simply assume it could be created, let alone if the lore implies he has been around forever.
I have always been a natural skeptic. I grew up Anglican, rejected it as invalid at a young age, became an atheist, then evolved into a Christian based on evidence. Given enough time and an open mind, one cannot escape ultimately realizing the reality of God. Finally, that journey leads to the shocking fact that God Himself became man in the person of Jesus Christ.
@@friisteching3433 initially, an American Indian teacher opened my mind to spiritual beliefs. I explored religions for awhile, skeptically at first. What’s fascinating is that if you listen to every dialogue with an atheist and a christian, the atheist’s words are so void of life and are extremely shallow when it comes to the human condition. But the christian has something deep and profound to say about life.
I know this from personal experience. It is because they are stuck in love of their intellect. It is the bits of the fruit from the knowledge of good and evil. The mind is not life, the heart is, that is where Jesus resides, so that is why it sounds devoid of life. They have not connected the two. They have both, hence why so many agnositcs and atheists can not bear the suffering in the world. They are not heartless. They know there is a God, they are just angry with Him. or why would they spend so much energy focused on him? They do not beleive they will destroy Christianity with their arguement, they are argueing because they desperately want to be proved wrong. For me science was one of the things that change my mind. The split particle experiment where the action of a particle changes based on whether it is being observed or not. So the mere act of observation changes the action of observable phenomenon. Also consider the placebo effect where beleif can change the state of cells in the human body. It's not rocket science. 😊.
I am currently listening to Christopher Hitchens's memoirs and find them to be deep, profound, and very moving in regard to the human condition. Check that one out.

@@ARRAM57 I was using Harry's logic back at him. Just because God doesn't act the way Harry wants Him to - does it therefore mean that God doesn't exist? No. And when Harry accuses God of not caring for starving children, I ask him what he has done about it himself. - Because God does in fact care very much about children. And He repeatedly tells us to *take special care* of widows and *fatherless* in their need - this is in God's eyes about the most important thing we can do. So why blame God, when *we* are not doing what God told us to do?
@@ingela_injeela The thing is, no one has seen god act .....period. As I wrote, one claim about god or what god has done ,is no different from any other, they all lack evidence. Hemmorrhoids are an (inflammation) signal by the body that you're damaging it by eating the wrong food. I've had hemmorrhoids my whole life and so has my dad and they went away completely when we stopped eating seed oils, sugar and processed carbs following a carnivore, aka, proper human diet.

My condensed answer to "Bad stuff; therefore, no God": First, From the "Tree of the knowledge of good and evil" {Genesis) we are to experience both so that we, of our free will, seek our good God. To be honest though Jesus through Peter the rock he found his one true church, entrusting him with the keys to heaven and a special title still held in succession since Jesus to this day. The Catholic Church is that one true church founded by Jesus.
@@katekam8600 As I recall, Jesus said "Upon this rock, I will build my church". The rock is not Peter, but the faith in Christ being the son of God. Jesus said he will build his church, which is a possessive statement. The church belongs to Jesus because it is his work that brings it to existence: "I will build". If you want further background whether the rock was a foundation, it can be given. Jesus gave the parable of the man who built his house upon the rock, who was like a wise man. That Jesus is the builder only means the house will be better. It is not given to n=man to be God, but man can become like God once again through the work of the Perfect One. Was born a Catholic. Stayed that way for 16 years, then with the introduction of modern science and propaganda, I became an atheist and transitioned to an agnostic for another 16 years. At 33 years, I found the evidence for Christianity irrefutable. The engineer in me couldn't deny it with all the science at my disposal. And so I accepted Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I saw an exBuddhist in this comment section who also coincidentally converted at age 33 and felt I'd share my similar experience.
As a teacher of Religious and Moral Education in a Scottish Secondary School, I was often asked this question: "Who created God?" My response was simple: "A man in a yellow submarine." This led to the question "Who created the man in the yellow submarine." The ensuing question was answered by "A pink purple-eater." The answer to the next question was "A giant cricket bat" (which is were the "atheist" must start - with life coming from non-life). The answer to the next question was "God. Now where did this conversation start?" The point is that, by definition, the Creator is uncreated. People who fail to understand that are totally confused!
Atheists don’t think that life comes from non life, or something. Atheism doesn’t say anything of the sort. Youre just making up excuses for it being able to provide evidence for your absurd claims. More to the point, Dawkins details what evidence wouldn't convince him that God is real. 1. Touching God. 2. Meeting Jesus face to face. 3. Stars spelling it out in multiple languages. 4. Angels leading a procession of Jesus's return. 5. Anything that leads to such conclusions should be ignored, and the science paid lipservice. 6. 7:07 If I understand what he is saying, what I am hearing is: He is arguing that Christians use confirmation bias. Obviously, Christians would disagree. We don’t find evidence to prove a claim we have made up in our minds. The empty tomb, and Jesus appearing to his apostles IS evidence that Jesus is who he displayed himself to be. The apostles, and Mary did not use confirmation bias to seek positive evidence for a claim they were trying to create. The evidence came to them, literally. Please understand that distinction. The apostles, and a couple of woman did not actively search for evidence to prove a claim, the evidence came to them.
I find it hard to believe the source. You don't have "Jesus appearing to his apostles", you have gospels saying Jesus appeared to them. Thier words could be wrong. Romans did not usually give out criminals a proper tomb, but instead discarded in mass graves. Why should the gospel be believed when it goes against what we know of Roman tradition?
@@friisteching3433 you don't know enough about Roman history. They often respected burial rights of other cultures. Especially in the far flung sections of the empire. This event in particular was Quite the Ordeal and considered an 'internal matter' of the Jews.. ie. It was a high profile case just like ours today when such trials happen. It was the jews that wanted him strung up and this the're again.. an internal matter and what they do with the body is no concern of theirs. So much so they even hastened the crucifixion by stabbing the man so that they could start their rites before sunset. This was quite common for other religions to have their burial rites respected in many cases especially outside of lowgrade common-criminals.

That is the reason every man must work out his own salvation. We can't just rely on other experiences. We are to testify of what God has done in our own lives. Then it is up to you what to do with that information. Paul even states that we must test everything and hold fast to that which proves true. There is a reason the scientific method came from biblical concepts. God is not afraid to be put to the test.
13:13 False estate That Jesus supposedly "revived" does not necessarily imply that he "defeated death" (as if he were a supernatural god). But I’ll make a conclusion after I see more conclusive evidence.”? What you guys are doing are just arbitrarily saying “this god is where the buck stops because it makes sense to me. I must be right.” Don’t you see how I arrogant that is? Why not be humble and accept that this is beyond our current understandings as humans? Or would you rather be certain but incorrect over being correct?

The key to why this is relevant is in who Paul was and who he became: Paul (at the time called Saul) was a devout Jewish Pharisee that considered Christians to be blasphemers and he persecuted and attacked Christians for their beliefs. He was in a position of power and wealth, set up to be an influential figure in his society for life. Why in the world would someone like that have a complete change of heart and start proclaiming the gospel to the point of being stripped of his status and wealth, thrown in prison, and eventually killed all because he claimed to have seen Christ risen from the dead? Perhaps he actually saw the risen Christ? Not only him, but many others over a period of 40 days including 500 Jews at one single time saw Jesus risen from the dead. And that is only one of many evidences. The truth is that Jesus Christ is risen and he loves us, put your faith in him and be saved!
@@Gorpmeat If he existed, and that change occurred, no one knows for sure. - It could be because he hallucinated and went crazy. - He could have been in a fragile moment and simply adopted that as true because it made him feel better or special. - It may be that he was misunderstood - It was a story invented later by biased believers. That is to say, there are many possible explanations, and more reasonable ones, than appealing to a supernatural being. As I told you at the beginning, no one knows for sure, but if believers want to establish the evidence of Paul's change as the extraordinary intervention of a god, then they must show extraordinary verifiable evidence. Your other paragraph is ad-popolum. Keep in mind that the Bible was written long after the supposed miracles, and edited by obviously biased believers. Not very different from the heroic wonders of powerful warriors that their people tell as true to increase national pride.

What will make these unbelievers believe?
God has to do it. They are literally dead unless He causes them to search for Him, but as long as they have a pulse they have the possibility. The answer is they should humble themselves to see if they are of the elect and read his Word and go to a Bible teaching Church. God will cause them to conform to His image if they are His. ❤
And if someone else become a Muslim or a buddhist or a Zoroastrian for the same reason, does that prove they are correct in their interpretation of the supernatural?

10:11 one problem the atheist is running into with the story of Paul is he doesn’t read the rest of the story of his conversion. Paul was not just an ordinary man. He was a Pharisees of the Pharisees. That’s how he described himself. He had great zeal for the Lord that’s why he was going to exterminate Christianity. When he came face to face with a resurrected Christ, he did not immediately believe. But for three days, he was in the city, blind and fasting and praying. The man who loved God, had to reconsider who he just saw. And after considering and praying God sent someone to preach the gospel to him. Paul had a religious experience. He compared it to the evidence he had any came to Hatcher inclusion INE Christ, the problem with the atheist is not that they have not had a religious experience. It’s that they don’t want a religious experience.

The atheist in this debate is just a poor debater. He opens up opportunities for Lennox to capitalize on. However, Saul/Paul didn't 'meet Jesus', he had a vision, a hallucination, a dream, brought on by any of a number of things. Perhaps an excess of wine, perhaps too little water and too much sun, whatever, combined with his history of abusing Christians. Such things happen to people even today, they hit a moment in their lives they realize they need to change and they make a change. And a religious zealot is going to continue to be a zealot, but they might change teams. Much like a recovering addict (a kind of zealotry) will become a very annoyingly dedicated religious person depending on which religious group helped him through his addiction recovery process. And the creation aspect in this discussion is similar, the atheist on stage made a very poor presentation for what is essentially the problem of evil. If evil exists your god cannot. Christians have a number of responses to this beat into them, ranging from 'mysterious ways' to 'who said god is always loving' to 'god allows evil to help us grow'. None of which make sense but those are examples of common responses. And I say they don't make sense because in a system where you have an all powerful, all knowing god setting things up there is no need for humans to learn through such pain and hardship, it could simply imbue us with the needed knowledge and skills and disciplines from the start. We don't build cars such that they need to hit a few curbs in just the right way before they will go down the street properly. So this debate is simply Lennox getting handed an opponent that isn't very good at what he does. Debating is a skill, this is like the sign behind them says, just a conversation, one that appears to be sest up to make Lennox seem like a genius. Let's see how he does against someone else, like Sam Harris perhaps, or Stephen Fry. We lost Hitchens who would have sent Lennox away in tears.

3:14 Lennox makes a false statement: Scientists do not "believe" scientific theories, but rather verify them with evidence. Love towards a wife is verifiable (there is evidence the wife exists). Lennox maliciously wants to equate "believing" in science with "believing" in a god (by faith)
Having faith in something based on evidence is belief. Belief is based on evidence. Sometimes the evidence is spurious or not well thought out (i.e. believing something because people you trust, like your parents, told it to you). Sometimes the evidence is well grounded (performing repeatable experiments that yield results that confirm or deny a theory). However that doesn’t change the fact that it is still belief in those laws/theories, just as it is belief that you believe your wife loves you. Scientists believe that past results will continue to be true into the future. There is much evidence for that. But it cannot be proven. Therefore, it is a belief. Scientists believe our senses tell us about the real natural world, but it cannot be proven. Therefore, it is a belief.
@@Laugical Nop.Faith is believing something is true without evidence. If you have evidence, then faith is not necessary. > Nope. Science is perfected day by day, with verifiable steps. This does not happen with faith. That in the past people believed it was true (from the Bible) that the earth was the center of the universe, is not true today. > Science uses the senses to collect data, but its theories are proven to be true because they adjust to the phenomena that those senses capture. The models can predict phenomena after the original data was taken, so they are consistent with each other. "Faith-sense", on the other hand, has no way of verifying whether it is in accordance with natural reality. By faith you can believe anything as true, but you have no methodology to test whether that belief is true or false.

4:41 "only apparent design" is an oxymoron wrapped in a redundancy. All design is apparent: that's why they *appear* different to randomness. Even a 5-year-old's 3-bucket sand castle is a design, because it appears intentionally different to the random sand on a beach.
Not all design is apparent, but that's not really relevant. The difference is between apparent design and _only_ apparent design. @PastPresented False. V11 tells Paul what he is required to do, v16 alerted Paul why. It took place AD 59, his conversion was AD 35/6. The only bit you got right. How he met Jesus And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. 1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve. 1Co 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 1Co 15:7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 1Co 15:8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. 1 Co 15:9 For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. So Paul HEARD, MET and SAW Jesus. But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. Acts 9:27 SEEN and HEARD. Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord? 1 Co 9:1 SEEN. Moreover, Paul calls the wife of Simon of Cyrene, his mother-in-Christ. She lived with him in Ephesus and Rome. Her sons are Rufus and Alexander. Rufus was a co-worker. Alexander went his own way. Their father, her husband, carried Christ's cross. So... Paul knew them, saw Jesus, met Jesus, was visited by Jesus, and knew of his death and resurrection from a firsthand, eyewitness there on the day. Caiaphas was Simon's uncle, and therefore a Saducee. Pretty easy to compare notes. The earliest copies of Luke, Paul's physician, plus Acts, is AD 68, Qumran Cave 7, level 1. Along with Romans, 1 Timothy, James (Jesus's half-brother,), 1 Peter. And they all saw Jesus, too. In James's case, from birth.
The irony here when he makes the case that you can't ask who created god because you then assume he was created, doesn't the church consistently apply that notion to everything else in that they automatically assume it looks designed therefore a creator must exist, if only this guy could apply his own logic to things like complexity and even life itself.

Another question: Why did the scribes and pharisees try to stone Jesus?
What’s fascinating is that if you listen to every dialogue with an atheist and a christian, the atheist’s words are so void of life and are extremely shallow when it comes to the human condition. But the christian has something deep and profound to say about life.
So very true. That’s one of the main points which turned me. Just two different kinds of people usually and it’s clear as day.
Maybe most atheists just don't feel the need to philosophise about the human condition, because they are simply getting on with being alive.
I am currently listening to Christopher Hitchens's memoirs and find them to be deep, profound, and very moving in regard to the human condition. Check that one out.
@@haggismcbaggis9485 Hitchens was the one and only. That’s why across the board if you ask any Christian who they respected or liked the most in debates Hitchens will be far and away the winner for both sides. I would think Lennox makes the atheist think a little bit deeper as well as compared to Craig or some others. But that’s me b

And even though I have gone through some tough things, I have always had *hope* , because of Him.
can you ask him how we get cold fusion working, cos frankly i don't believe you, if you can find the answer to the energy problem we have - which might solve hunger as a by product, then i might believe you and that there is a god, but i think you won't get the answer, or you'll make a really complex excuse (god is busy, he can't answer physics problems today) and you're full of crap.
@@HarryNicNicholas Nice, Harry.
So, God only exists if He meets *your* specific demands? What are *you* doing to alleviate child starvation?
Well, I haven't seen you "solve hunger", so should I believe *you* exist?
@@ingela_injeela
You may have noticed ,Harry does not claim to be a god. Not sure what point you believe you made there.
There are many that claim they have a relationship with jesus /god but I cannot see what the difference is between that claim and the other claims regarding what god did/does. Totally untestable claims appear to non believers as just that, claims and assertions with no corroborating evidence. I mean how do you unravel the glaring fact people of other religions speak the same as you do about their own god?
@@ARRAM57 I was using Harry's logic back at him. Just because God doesn't act the way Harry wants Him to - does it therefore mean that God doesn't exist? No.
And when Harry accuses God of not caring for starving children, I ask him what he has done about it himself.
- Because God does in fact care very much about children. And He repeatedly tells us to *take special care* of widows and *fatherless* in their need - this is in God's eyes about the most important thing we can do. So why blame God, when *we* are not doing what God told us to do?
@@ingela_injeela
The thing is, no one has seen god act .....period.
As I wrote, one claim about god or what god has done ,is no different from any other, they all lack evidence. Which goes for people claiming to have a relationship with their version of a god too.
"God cares about children" ,they are just empty words in the absence of any evidence of a god or any evidence of any actions or reaction that has a direct causal connection to your god.
A well tweaked fabricated concept that answers every question but explains nothing.

They don't go away if you change your diet, they may however stop troubling you.
@@mirandahotspring4019 I think I know how my own butthole feels. Of course they go away. My condensed answer to "Bad stuff; therefore, no God":
First, From the "Tree of the knowledge of good and evil" {Genesis) we are to experience both so that we, of our free will, seek our good God.
Second, we are in a temporary tent (says Paul) before we get a new body and go to one of two permanent homes. I want to be in God's home and not the one reserved for Satan.
Have you ever _directly observed_ either this 'God' or Jesus?

In this very video, your answer is given. If the evidence of thousands and millions of people all saying the same thing "Jesus changed my life" does not convince you, perhaps then you should seek your own "personal experience". If you don't - you're just missing out on the best thing in life. Life itself.

Paul heard the gospel from Stephen. He is Luke's eye-witness for Acts 7. So, on the road to Damascus, Jesus telling Paul that he is persecuting Jesus changes everything for Paul. Paul is able to see Jesus is the Messiah the prophets spoke of in the Jewish scriptures.
Yes, he heard Stephen's message. But Paul believed because he had a face to face encountered with Jesus. The Man he saw died on the cross was alive having conversation with him. And Jesus made him blind.
paul had no idea what jesus looked like - did that occur to you?
@@HarryNicNicholas Paul was a Pharisee. He was a member of the Sanhedrin. The people who plotted to kill Jesus. He always testified that. And Paul spent 3 years with the resurrected Jesus in Arabia. He replied, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6 But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you need to do.”

That's like a pastor saying "My church". The Church belongs to Jesus. The pastors might as well say "I am Jesus".
They take any kind of argument as long they can deny that Jesus is God. If there was no Paul they will take it someone else.
Humanity is clearly described as fallen in Genesis.
If you're trying to say one church or another is perfect, I will say you are wrong. Jesus works with each individual heart, adding it to his kingdom. There is no corporate guarantee seen in the text as given. To see the weak nature of Peter, consider what Jesus told him prior to being betrayed: "You will deny me thrice before the cock crows".

More to the point, Dawkins details what evidence wouldn't convince him that God is real.

Lennox misunderstands the premise of “who created God?”
You have to establish that God wasn’t created. Just saying he wasn’t created isn’t enough. You have to give a grounding for that assertion.
If you can’t answer “how do you know God isn’t created?” Then you can’t assert that he isn’t created
Lennox and many apologists seem to think that making assertions is all you need to do.
Logically infinite regression is nonsense, so there is no need to even address the point. Why should Lennox have to address a self refuting argument?
@@Gorpmeat it’s not an infinite regression. You don’t understand what time is.

1. I’m not assuming an infinite regression. I’m not assuming anything and I’m ok with saying “I don’t know,” because I’d rather be correct than certain but incorrect.
All creation, every act, is understood as a change over time. Before this, now that.
But The Big Bang is the beginning of time as we understand it. Our understanding of everything breaks down before the moment of the Big Bang. There can be no creation without a change over time, which needs time to exist but there is no time.
So what could have caused the Big Bang?
1. A creator god
2. Another natural process similar to a multiverse concept
3. A constant repetition of expanding and contracting of the same universe.
4. Something else that hasn’t occurred to me (who am I to say I’m capable of coming up with all the possible answers?)
2. You’re claiming that a creator God is the beginning of everything. Here are the issues with that.
2.1 how do you know which god it is that is the creator god?
since there are many competing ideas of god. Only one can be true or they can all be false. Those are the two options.
2.2 how do you know that the buck ends with your god and that it doesn’t end with another God that created him, but is not expressed in the Bible?
2.3 what’s the problem with saying “I don’t know. But I’ll make a conclusion after I see more conclusive evidence.”?
What you guys are doing are just arbitrarily saying “this god is where the buck stops because it makes sense to me. I must be right.”
Don’t you see how I arrogant that is? Why not be humble and accept that this is beyond our current understandings as humans?
Or would you rather be certain but incorrect over being correct?

Just because meeting someone "changes your life" does not imply that that person is necessarily a supernatural god.
The same way that you find your meaning in life through diving into vices and drowning in pleasures that the world has to offer just to get by and make your life feel "unique".
@@danyaelpecson557 Yep. There was a chance that Paul was drugged on the way to Damascus.
The key to why this is relevant is in who Paul was and who he became:
Paul (at the time called Saul) was a devout Jewish Pharisee that considered Christians to be blasphemers and he persecuted and attacked Christians for their beliefs.
@@Gorpmeat
If he existed, and that change occurred, no one knows for sure.
- It could be because he hallucinated and went crazy.
- He could have been in a fragile moment and simply adopted that as true because it made him feel better or special.
- It may be that he was misunderstood
- It was a story invented later by biased believers.
That is to say, there are many possible explanations, and more reasonable ones, than appealing to a supernatural being.

- That a historical chronicle indicates that the chronicler knew or heard an alleged witness of a resurrection is not evidence of the resurrection itself, but only of the communication.
- The Bible, and this is how theologians recognize it, has no known source, therefore eyewitnesses are not guaranteed.

Scientists do not "believe" scientific theories, but rather verify them with evidence.

@@voiceofreason162 The events of Acts 23 take place around two decades after Paul's conversion. That particular encounter with Jesus served to persuade Paul to stay out of the clutches of the Jewish religious authorities and travel to Rome, not to stay Christian.
@PastPresented False. V11 tells Paul what he is required to do, v16 alerted Paul why. It took place AD 59, his conversion was AD 35/6. The only bit you got right.
How he met Jesus
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
1Co 15:5
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve. 1Co 15:6
After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
1Co 15:7
After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.
1Co 15:8
And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.
1 Co 15:9
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
So Paul HEARD, MET and SAW Jesus.
But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
Acts 9:27
SEEN and HEARD.
Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?
1 Co 9:1
SEEN.
These debates are so edifying. Fascinated with deep thinkers.
The irony here when he makes the case that you can't ask who created god because you then assume he was created, doesn't the church consistently apply that notion to everything else in that they automatically assume it looks designed therefore a creator must exist, if only this guy could apply his own logic to things like complexity and even life itself.
how do i reconcile astrotheological allegory with all of this, do I assume christ is a reincarnation of various figures that are similar to him? the sun in the sky dies on the southern cross and is resurrected after 3 days on December 25th, the sun turns water into wine, the sun in the sky has 12 disciples (12 months). the lamb of god is the lamb of aries, judas represents scorpio (hence the kiss of death, a reference to scorpions), and so and so on....are these parallels supposed to strengthen my beliefs? someone help me reconcile this please

Was the universe and everything within it designed or just have the appearance of design?
Definitely designed 👍
