Note that "ifconfig" is deprecated since more than 10 years. One should use "ip address" (or shorter: "ip a") now. There are many things like network namespacing, bonding etc that "ifconfig" won't show. It even has problems with multiple IP addresses on one interface. And of course with namespacing. So really, it's a thing from the past. There's a reason it isn't installed by default by most distros nowadays.

This is the IP your ISP provides, you should be able to find it using router gateway or just google your public ip
