I think I'm going to try this out. How is backing up Trilium notes? Would they be easy to transfer to another tool? I'm a fan of obsidian and would like a way to take notes a collaborative way. This might be it.
Backing it up is pretty easy. You can dump an entire zip files worth of notes, you get the options of markdown or html on export if you want as well. If obsidian support either of those importing/exporting the notes would be pretty easy between the two.
how do you install the windows server version of trillium notes? I've been trying to figure this out but all the tutorials are linux based and I need a windows server version.
It’s as easy as going to the same GitHub page and downloading the windows installer. Thats if you just want to use it on your local pc, hosting it online using windows would be the same as in this vid, just install it then follow the steps to get the port forwarded through your firewall or reverse proxy

@@lowspeclabs Thanks, I'll try that out. I am hoping to have this hosted on my windows server and accessible by multiple computers and mobile devices.
