After Lego spoiled Giant-Man's appearance in Civil War, Disney haven't give them much in the way of info about the plots of their films. It's why the Endgame sets were so wildly inaccurate. They probably gave Lego no info about the Battle of Exegol as a result.
Given how long it takes to design a set, plus the backlash against TRoS and the Sequel Trilogy as a whole, that probably explains why we've yet to see a set based on the final throne room scene, which would in theory include Sheev and Ben Solo.
I'd really love to see them...

I can as that is what has happened. I’m sure we will get them eventually as what you have to remember is that the rise of skywalker didn’t release too long ago tbf.

The sith trooper really stands out on the shelf, but Finch Dallow is such a weird figure that it has to be my favorite
It’s criminal really that they decided to release that figure to update a set so soon before retirement and only make it available in certain regions.
The Resistance pilots with their dual molded helmets are some of the best detailed minifigs Lego have ever made. Snap Wexley is my favourite.

I truely think TCW helped the Prequels SO much. There should be an animated show for the Sequels with all the characters to really help improve the story. Let’s get Finn doing Force stuff, Maz running around, Poe being sketchy and learning, Rose actually doing something. Idk I think it would be fantastic
I 100% agree. Get Dave filoni to direct and you would have a mostly beloved show.
I would also love to see Rey create the new Jedi order.

Sadly, Star Wars Resistance didn't do so well (although I personally enjoyed it), so it seems a little unlikely

@@theeternal1766 if Star Wars can make Palpatine’s return actually make sense, the sequel trilogy will gain a LOT more respect from me (I like the sequel trilogy, but The Rise Of Skywalker makes practically no sense)
the rise of skywalker has given me a huge appreciation for the last Jedi, it definitely had its flaws but at least rian tried to make it original. He was given a new hope and instead of making empire strikes back he took the story in a different and new direction. It’s just sad that JJ went and made return of the Jedi 2.0 look up Colin Trevorrow duel of the fates if you want to see what a great sequel movie would have been
My boy Boolio deserves to come back in his own movie. If Palpatine and Darth Maul can come back from the dead then why not him?

Although their screen time was short, those knights of ren figs are awesome.
Jang, I just want to say I really respect how you acknowledge differing viewpoints towards things like the Sequel trilogy. I may not agree with your thoughts on the trilogy, but I still respect your opinion nonetheless.
From each film, here are my personal favorite minifigures:
VII: Guavian Security Soldier (a.k.a. Target face). I LOVE that head piece!
VIII: Both Praetorian Guards. As much as I wished we got more screen time with them, they have such beautiful designs.
IX: Either the Sith Trooper or the Knights of Ren. Again, I wish the Knights were done justice instead of being easily slaughtered, but gosh, each of their designs are so unique! I love that I have all six figures! As for the Sith Trooper, that design is flawless. That is all 😅
You can thank good o'l ruin for what happened to the knights of ren (not saying JJ is completely blameless, but there non-existance in TLJ really threw a monkey wrench into it)
@@timewarpdrive77 they just weren't ever that important to the story. They weren't ruined, they just weren't relevant to begin with
I think the design work for these figures is pretty consistent overall, it makes for a great looking collection on display!
My takeaway from this is that there were way more sequel trilogy figures than I initially thought
I was really annoyed by how many of those odd black first-order crew members were used in sets because I feel like they added so little to a set especially when they could've been replaced by a stormtrooper.
This was really satisfying to watch. So many great figures in the Sequel Trilogy sets
Old Luke is probably my favorite. He looks very regal and angelic

Yeah, even in the previous films. Tarkin, Veers, Maul, Dooku, Grievous... They really do villains dirty in the movies. Shame about General Pryde too. He was in there for like 2 mins and he was so captivating.

They probably didn’t make that because they weren’t given info on it. They have also released the final duel set based on return of the Jedi so they don’t like to do sets that are too similar at the same time.
Who says Lego can't do them in the future? Were still getting original trilogy sets.
@@chrisdips1 True, but original trilogy sets tend to be more popular. Just look at the Mos Eisley Cantina UCS set. That thing sold out real quick.

Thank you for a great overview. My favourite 2015-2019 Star Wars movie is still Rogue One, but I love the increased detailing on the rebel alliance/resistance pilots. This bodes well for the Rogue Squadron sets.

My personal favourite is the polybag C3PO from 2015 purely because i have a strong liking to the character for sentimental reasons and the side printing is perfect

I actually really like the background officers and the like, I just wish there hadn't have been so many of them. They're nice in certain contexts I think people just disliked them because there were so many.

I think my favorite set of the sequel trilogy lot, pound-for-pound, was the Luggabeast... though I was slightly disappointed that Teedo was a full-size figure, and not one with the short legs.
The resistance troopers pieces are so useful for futuristic military mocs
I love special molded head and head gears so my favs will be ackbar boolio, shrimp guards and ren squad. I also like a lot head wrapped rey and kylo with helmet.

Watching this series in 2022, a year where Lego has produced 0 sets or promotional items related to the 5 Disney movies (excluding the Skywalker Saga) has been interesting. Its a very nice and complete summary, and I do hope we see some of these sets and characters again in Lego form.

That first order troop transport is so packed with play features and the working ramp is freaking sick. The main thing I'm annoyed by is the lack of a second set of rubber bands on the poe dameron black one set. That was a kind of a step back in design from their previous x-wings

My favorite minifigures are the ones that remind me of battlefront 2 as the sequel era is my favorite to play in, so bb9e phasma Kylo, Finn sith trooper, storm trooper resistance soldiers etc
Also BB-9E was hyped up a lot especially with the toy lines, lego joining in too, coming in two sets in the very first wave. But never did much in the movie, got a well made appearance in battlefront 2 tho.

As I didn’t enjoy the sequel as a whole I did enjoy army building the first order. They’re a good evolution from the imperial ones and they look fantastic even in LEGO form.
The main thing that gave me joy was seeing Kylo saying to shoot down the piece of junk.

Movie As A Whole= enjoyable to watch if you don’t think about how convoluted the plot is
Phasma (last jedi version) and jannah might be my favourite figures from this trilogy. I love their uniqueness. Also praetorian guards, the NEW helmet introduce in the battlepack. I missed on it, but trying to get it
Would be interesting to see these put together as factions with your favorite of each hero/named character. I like setting up my ranks of stormies with the leaders in the front, same for the rebels and their heroes.
Great video. My least favorite were the Sith troopers from that battle pack. Their helmets pop off so easy.
About the dark blue cap, one did come on its own with a random officer in a battle-pack, he was in the TFA section.
The Rise of Skywalker "Flame Trooper" as you called it is actually the Jet Trooper. Just so you know.

Jang, you should NOT feel bad about pointing out how countless sleepless hours of character and costume design (let alone toy design) were squandered- it ain’t your fault 😂
The Screen time for Knights of Ren and Sith Troopers was lower than the Emperor Palpatine, eventually LEGO® didn't consider producing a Palpatine Minifigure. I'am not complaining on that thought it's just my personal opinion. My personal favourite Minifigures are Kylo Ren(The Rise of Skywalker) and the Knights of Ren.
Watching this just makes me sad for the large numbers of great characters that we may never get in Lego form whether you liked the movies or not.

I didn't even realize they changed the helmet design from movie to movie, I just thought Lego made the change once they saw what the helmets actually looked like on the big screen. Personal fave from these is the jet trooper helmet design, I really like how those look.
My least favorite are the generic first order gunners and non TIE pilots and the EP7 Resistance Troopers. I love basically everything else. Hoping for an arm print rey someday, plus Crait Luke, 8/9 Leia, Bloody helmet Finn, etc
