This gives me hope for the future. I'm young artist on the verge of burnout, having constant artblock. Thank you Scott, this motivates me so much to keep on going, and hopefully achieving something someday.
It shocked me so much when I noticed that you were 44 the year I was born!! Art has always been like a coping mechanism for me especially because I'm from scandinavia (middle -southern sweden ) and seeing all the snow flakes during winter and understanding how the sun reflects on the snow because I sat there on our poarch and looked and played with my family and then getting to go inside and drawing pictures of my family in the snow and showing it for everyone on christmas morning as a gift. Ur art has inspirited me so much this past year and I want to be just like you, like go on adventures and draw what you see!! I have always loved watercolour and recently descoverd gouach ( Idk how to spell that) I love colours and seeing how some people can just make colours look so good and vibrant in drawings and clothes AND HAIR , aaaahhh I just love how you draw hair and how bold it looks whilst being classy. I just dyed my hair purple and I have a fading mullet and it looks so cool!!and it makes me feel so special that I can always just dye my hair to express myself! Anyways, I just meant to say , I live laugh and love ur art style ❤❤
Time flows really fast. As we change, the way of perceiving time also changes. As we get older we make many memories. We gain maturity but with maturity comes regret. The regret to live that particular moment in a better way. With time we tend to forget many beautiful memories. But all we can do is to record those memories in the form of pictures or painting. And when we recall those memories a feeling of nostalgia develops in ourselves. I love this feeling of nostalgia, it reminds me of my old self. It reminds me how awesome my life was, there was nothing to worry about. I want to live in my childhood once again. But I can do nothing, all I can do is to accept this change and look forward for a better future. This reminds me that time never waits for anyone and we must remember that '"change is constant". I don't know why I am typing this. If you came till here after reading all this nonsense I typed, accept the change and try to make your and other life better. Making others life better is the purpose of my life. And if I am able to make someone's life slightly better and comfortable I would call it my success. And I would try to die without any regret .....
I love videos like this! Sometimes it feels like great artists like you are just natural talents and that I'll never be like you, so I love that you're so transparent about your art journey. From a young artist, you're such an inspiration!
I am 19 years old, I draw a lot, your videos inspire me and remind me that I draw for good reason. Sometimes I catch myself thinking that I'm a bad artist, but I'm learning to get rid of it. Seeing your work at the age of 19, I realized that everything is not so bad with me and my journey is just beginning.
I’m a 12 year old artist and I just found your channel a few months ago. You inspire me to try new mediums, different styles, to just have fun with art. I’m a bit of a perfectionist but I’m learning to just make art for fun and not having the feeling to be perfect. Thank you!❤
Your art has inspired me to keep going and try new things, even if it turns out bad. it helped me push away from trying to “perfect” my art. its one of the reasons i kept making my portfolio, and so far ive been accepted to 2 art schools with both offering me thousands in scholarships. your art is amazing and youre an inspiration. thank you!
Scott, you are such an inspirational human. Seeing this timeline is evidence that we can manifest our wildest dreams if only we hold on to them. It's like your first Spiderman drawings paved the way for you to draw actual Spiderman comics, all because you never gave up. That's so cool!! Everything you've done seems like many dreams accomplished, and that's very inspirational ✨️
Sir, i honestly needed it sooo much now😭😭😭😭... You are really my favourite artist on youtube for nearly 1 year, because you give a sense of a mature yet friendly, cool, creative, experienced(which obviously you are) and more importantly a uniquely realistic yet asthetic art style!... THANK YOU AGAIN SIR, HUGE RESPECT TO YOU🥺🙏 And not to mention, You are a TRUE example of WE NEVER STOP LEARNING, EVER...
Oh no...I'm not crying, it's just monsoon in my eyes😭😭😭😭 I've never in my life imagined that my comment will be read by one of the most influential Artists I've known(the most influential sir, rn) Anyway i am happy, THANK U SIR🥺🤍
It's so amazing when you're a young artist and get good information and inspiration from a artist who has experienced 40+ years learning all these things and is showing us that we should not give up no matter what!! ❤️ One day I hope I also get some really good experience like you Sir Scott!!
So beautiful! I am the 71-year old painter who dabbled in art my entire life, but took painting seriously at the age of 70. What a rewarding journey I’m having! I find your art, Scott, an encouragement to me.
I'm a 12 year old artists and you inspire me to draw everyday and my drawings are improving this video just gives me a lot of motivation thanks for sharing your progress
Everytime i get an art block or a loss of creativity, I watch this or Scott's other videos to realize that i shouldn't give up and there's still PLENTY of room for improvement. As an 11 year old who is almost ALWAYS getting art blocks, your a BIG inspiration, Scott. Thank you.
I love your art and I really enjoyed and loved this video. It's so great to see how you discovered and beautifully expressed different kinds of art. Keep going because we all are here to see, to learn and enjoy your gorgeous art.
It's remarkable to see the chances you took, and are still taking! It takes a lifetime (maybe more than one) to be an artist. This should give courage to every artist, at every age- there's always more to be discovered!
!!! YES !!! Patrick Nagel I love his work,it's sad because he was a "commercial" artist & was so over exposed in the 80's that he gets overlooked a lot You are only a few years older then me,this video was very nostalgic for me Thank you for sharing
this makes me so happy Scott im 13 years old with the hope i can get into art school. when i make art now i come to a point that i should give up when i mess up. but when you post videos' like Theas it makes me relies that i have a long journey ahead of me. thanks Scott you inspire me every day.
This video, to me, is the embodiment of your channel. It makes me feel so good, especially with that song, and makes me feel confident about my art, just as you do with your videos 💪
Scott, we love you so much, God bless you man, this world is so cruel and sick sometimes, but seeing you always have a positive attitude and being so wholesome and kind restores my faith in this world. Thank you.
I swear Scott is so inspiring I always find myself coming back to his videos 😭😭. Even if it isn't for art, I'm there for his kindness and his perseverance. I wanna be am artist because of him, and I wanna be a better person because of him. We love you Scott!!!!
So inspiring watching your art grow. I watched your video about how being the artist on spider man was your dream and cried out of joy that you got to do it. I'm so happy I found your channel and I look forwards to watching your videos. They always make me happy and inspire me. Your videos should be seen by every artist and thank you for being you and always being honest on your channel!
I find this really inspiring because im trying to find a career in art and to see that a live for art can last a lifetime is amazing!!! thank you for an amazing video!!
Fascinating journey. I was into drawing when I was young, too, but never really pushed it further. When I had an existential crisis after a few things happened in my life, I even threw away everything I did so far. It wasn't much, but threre were a few pieces that I was quite proud of. It pains me to this day that I did that. I always wanted to pick up drawing, painting or even just doodling again, but never had the time or motivation. But seeing all these creative channels really starts a tiny spark deep inside of me...
This was so inspirational, from an artist that thought I was getting too old to do what I truly loved. Thank you for sharing….so glad I found your channel ❤
It inspires me to see how your style has changed and shifted over time, and it how it took you awhile to even really find it, because personally I feel like I haven't found a consistent style yet, and it's stressful thinking about pursuing a career in art- which is what I want to do- without having a recognizable style
I wish that my art will grow and change over time like Scott’s did it inspires young artists like me and others to want to try harder so thank you for everything Scott ❤
Scott is an amazing artist, an inspiration to people young and old and proves that the most important thing in life is doing what you love with who you love ❤keep the amazing work up!
I'm a 20-year old self-taught artist from a third world country. Someday, I want to attend art school too and make art for a living. You, sir, inspire me to keep pursuing my art no matter what. I love your videos, I look up to you and just overall admire you as a human. Please keep doing what you do. You inspire me and i bet a lot more people out there.
This sentence... "Still so much to discover and learn" is truly something that gaves us hope, for everyone that started practicing and discovered how drawing change life and our perspectives
you got me back into art, i love the way you draw, and i love that i can slowly see you developing more and more.. inspiring me to do more and more. im young so i still have a long journey ahead. love the videos!

Wow. Just wow. Scott, your talent is immeasurable! I’m so happy to see your art journey and all your accomplishments. This is truly a beautiful video 🥲
It took you 40 years to get this good. I can't imagine what it would look like after another 40 years! Art is such a gift to mankind. Thank you for sharing the result of your passion and hard work so that we may collectively enjoy it.
Really inspiring when artists show how they grow as artist. I've had this false belief when I was young. I thought artist were born knowing how to draw, their skills now are the same when they were younger. Now as an artist myself I realize all the blood, sweat and tears that goes into art. It's a process, you learn new things everyday and it's a wonderful journey. I'm so glad to see yours ❤
it's so inspiring to see that after so many years of being a pro, Scott keeps discovering and learning new things, he never stops exploring. That's what does it for me, that this man is in his 50s and he can still say "i'm teaching myself this thing" because we always think older professionals just have it all figured out and that's it. There's nothing else to learn. Scott shows us that you can always discover something new, no matter how old or experienced you are. Keep it up you little hobbit!
This video single handedly proves why AI will never replace true art. You can see you life in every line, and every line that came before guides your hand for the next. May there be many more lines, many more pieces, many more happy years!

You can do it!
You got it! Just remember to have fun while doing art, because sometimes you kinda forget. :)
heres an idea for art: draw a lot of beans. they have shadowing and slight reflections so its good practice
Artblock is solved by following lots of artists on Twitter and looking at their work. It's super inspiring.
I have always loved watercolour and recently descoverd gouach ( Idk how to spell that)
I love colours and seeing how some people can just make colours look so good and vibrant in drawings and clothes AND HAIR , aaaahhh I just love how you draw hair and how bold it looks whilst being classy.
I just dyed my hair purple and I have a fading mullet and it looks so cool!!and it makes me feel so special that I can always just dye my hair to express myself!
Anyways, I just meant to say , I live laugh and love ur art style ❤❤
Oh. This means the world to me.

You give me hope.
