Yea, I am spraying some of it tonight. I like the product. Just didn't have my gun settings right and striped up the metallic. I have since learned to spray metalics much better. Spraying Hotrod flatz as we speak.
Your probably right Darren. The Simplex bikes were called "ServiCycles" and they were used for deliveries, and man of them had side cars. so this one may have had a side car at some point.
the guy who painted my truck had the same problem.but the other problem i had was it took about 2 months for the actual color to appear.i got the blue daytona pearl and when it first got painted it looked like a lavender.sounds like you have had better luck or learned how to use it.anyway good luck and look forward to seeing the stang come together
i like to see ur progress on all your projects.i originally started watching do to hot rod flatz. i had a similiar problem with my truck.i was very disapointed with their products.
nice to hear from you Gary. I have to say I bought the same halo lights and have some sequential led tail lights too lol, hope you, Matt and the rest of the family have a great holiday!
It's a 1930's Simplex. Simplex Motorcycles were based in New Orleans and built bikes from the 30's to the 60's. And yes it does have the indian look to it.
Glad to see you back at it and posting again. One really nice paint job on your Mustang. The old bike should be a neat project too. Blessings for remembrance of the birth of Christ.
That car looks like a box of Uncle Ben's man. JK. Good to see a vid from you man. I can't believe Matt's not pushing you to the extreme to get this car done.

Hey Gary, glad to see you back on the videos!.. The Stang is looking good, I think you are OK with all those lights just don't go and add a bunch of neon lights under the car or we may have to have an intervention... ;P.. What kind of bike is that, it looks like a real old Indian?.
Oh yea, lost a little weight, that's part of the reason for no videos, spending more time working out, etc. I need to get back on the leadership and dev videos for sure. A few people liked them, but most people watch the channel for car stuff :)
great seeing a video! as far as "rice", in my opinion the motor isnt "rice" because it can be fast as hell with some tuning! rice= RACE INSPIRED COSMETIC ENHANCEMENT, and the stuff you are doing arent just cosmetic... Merry Christmas to you and your family too.... looking forward to the next update...
GunPilot It's pretty well finished. I never put the motor on it because i didn't have the original motor, and bought a chinese dirt bike motor from eBay, so looking for something more period correct.

When you were taking it apart, how many times did you drop the "S T" bomb?
What a cool bike. You never said what make and model it is?
Oh yea, lost a little weight, that's part of the reason for no videos, spending more time working out, etc. I need to get back on the leadership and dev videos for sure. A few people liked them, but most people watch the channel for car stuff :)

Which proportional valve did you use on the brakes?

Lol, yes, several times. I said a few other things too, your dad would have needed to have his ears covered for those, lol
not if you got it running just as good as the bugstang....
I recently bought two of them. Someone (two different owners) hacked both of the frames. Mine are currently in the metal shop.
What camera are you using? Car looks great
nice bike to bad you can't find a Harley engine for it love the .mustang to
Whatever happened to the Simplex? I saw other videos of progress, but I don't recall a finished product.
GunPilot It's pretty well finished. I never put the motor on it because i didn't have the original motor, and bought a chinese dirt bike motor from eBay, so looking for something more period correct.
Cool. Meanwhile, you could probably make that eBay motor look "period" just to get it running. Regardless, it'll be a neat ride when complete.
GunPilot yea, i have some 2" copper pipe i was going to tig braze for exhaust and a couple more things. We will get back on it one of these days!
