  • Torrie Lewis Stuns Sha’Carri Richardson In Women’s 200 Meters: The much-anticipated Diamond League season just kicked off the other weekend in Xiamen, China, and guys, I can’t deny the fact that the debut event lived up to the expectations. Many elite sprint stars graced the event and we saw some incredible performances across different disciplines. Indeed we’re in for an exciting season ahead. However, the women’s 200-meter dash where we expected to see phenomenal times just left us disappointed. America’s #Shacarririchardson made her season debut over the 200 meters, but what she thought was a victorious photo finish, just turned out to be a disappointment from none other than 19-year-old Aussie #torrielewis.
Interested to find out how this 19-year-old stunned Sha’Carri Richardson at the very final moment of the women’s #200meters of #trackandfield in #wandadiamondleague ?

This should be kudos for Torre Lewis winning .... Not about Shaccari Richardson losing or coming 2nd to Lewis.

There's more marketing hype around Sha'Carri Richardson than there are actual results. Sha'Carrie has as many losses as she does wins. Sherrika Jackson and "Mommy Rocket" Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce have FAAAR more consistency in RECORD BREAKING wins, longevity, endurance and maturity in the sport. I don't know why the media keeps tying to make us believe Sha'Carri Richardson is the best thing since sliced bread. In this race, Sha'Carrie was running at her best....but she was beaten easily by a Tori Lewis...19-year old TEENAGER from Australia. Sha'Carrie thought she had won the race and was fixing her hair in the cameras....only to discover she had taken 2nd place. WHY is the media pushing Sha'Carrie Richardsons down our throats. WAIT... Don't answer that. We already know the reasons: MONEY, SPONSORSHIPS & ENDORSEMENTS. Sha'Carrie is a good athlete...but not the best out there. She still has much to consistent growth to show...and record breaking times to produce...in order to catch up with Sherrika and Shelly-Ann. Stop manipulating us with media hype. It' sickening....especially when we can SEE what's really going on by simply looking at the results.

Richardson is too unpredictable, most times she comes in unprepared and lose focus. she probably won't even medal at the Olympics if she can make through the trial.

She didn't win her first 200m race last season but still became world champion. You cannot decide how an athletic choose to run their season, they do it their way.

@@matthew4music Where did I ever said that I decide how she runs her race? All I said she was unpredictable, never know which Richardson would show up. Sometimes she looks unbeatable, and then other times she can't keep up even though she's the fastest woman today.

Shaccari was just having a stroll on the track, she has every right to run at any pace she chose, this is the Olympics year, you can't expect her to be running herself to fast to early. Shac and her team knows what they are doing.

I won't call it an upset. For some of these runners,it's their first meeting. They are still gauging their speed, fitness etc. Coaches and athletes are still working on certain phases their race. Waaay to early to be conclusive.

When you see Richardson with a fluffy short hair then you know she'll lose the race.
